My husband ordered a "margarita" and after tasting it we realized it wasn't actually tequila but priced like there was. Service was rather slow for a restaurant with higher end menu items. The server came by only a few times during our meal and at one point I felt like he forgot we were there even though he kept passing by us. We would have ordered more food but his lack of attention made up decide to not try anything else. I joked with my husband that "we live here now" because we sat at the table with empty plates and drinks for nearly 25 min before my husband had to flag down the waiter for the check. I feel like this place has so much potential because the food was good but unfortunately it was a huge miss for us.

The restaurant is very nicely decorated and modern. We celebrated our friend's birthday dinner and everyone loved their food. I shared the Huancaina fettuccine and the Teriyaki Entraña Sushi roll. Both were phenomenal and I would go as far as to say this is one of my favorite sushi rolls of all time. I also think theirs is the best huancaina sauce I've had due to a cheesy profile that it has (and I am a cheese lover). We also had a Maracuyá Pisco Sour, which was beautifully presented and the perfect balance of flavors. You could definitely taste the Pisco, but it was not too strong. Our service was also phenomenal. Our server checked on us often and was very friendly. While the prices are a little high, the quality and flavors make it worthwhile. I definitely will be back and highly recommend for Peruvian / Nikkei food lovers like myself.

We visited Mancora for dinner and enjoyed several items. As an appetizer, we started with the Chorros à la Chalaca which are one of my favorites. They came fully loaded with all of the toppings! Would gladly order these again. As entrees, we ordered the classic ceviche, tacos, Seafood tacu tacu, and lomo saltado. Everything was delicious. I was very impressed by the sauce on the Tacu Tacu and will consider ordering that as my entree in the future. The tacos were my entree and I found them to be very well portioned in terms of filling and the flavors were phenomenal, especially with the accompanying sauces. Perhaps the best part of the meal was our dessert - picarones! Our waiter did warn us that they are not exactly like "traditional" Peruvian picarones, but they are so delicious nonetheless. They come out freshly made and warm with plenty of syrup. They also have delicious pisco sours and offer Inca cola! In terms of seating, the restaurant is very large, so there is always space available. The service was very attentive and food came out in a very reasonable timeframe. I look forward to returning to reorder some of our items (like the picarones) as well as to try out other items on the menu! Highly recommend to any Peruvian food lover.

It's latin/Peruvian food. You get your food fast but I wouldn't consider it a fast-food restaurant if that makes sense. #1 thing that I've noticed is their consistency. Shrinkflation hasn't hit here yet. In my opinion you're getting the same Kg of meat, same size, cooked the same, same amount of seasoning, same temperature every time. The same cup of rice and the same semi-watery black beans. Trust me, it all pairs well with eachother. I love their sauce bar! I'm an onion guy and love the fact they offer sauces with a heavy amount of diced onions. Their mild and hot sauces add a creamy flavor with a touch of heat. 4 stars isn't being too nice or too stingy on a rating. You need to try this place, or one of their many locations. It's the exact hole in the wall you're looking for. I absolutely love this place and wouldn't change a thing. You can tell it's a local favorite as it's always crowded, both with dine in and take out. Prices went with the flow of the economy. It's crept up over the years but so has everything, can't complain about that. Overall, I certify that this place is great and you won't be disappointed if you like Latin food.

Our friend is well-heeled, however, humble. We passed this restaurant on numerous occasions. Although it had an inviting outward appearance for a Chinese restaurant, we assumed it was another run-of-the-mill establishment. We were so wrong! Once inside, the Chinese theme and décor are powerful, yet subdued. Enough seating for lunch crowds or evening dining with families. We were the first to arrived, and received a pleasant greeting. Not only that, once we received our orders [in a very timely manner], we received help putting it into a carry bag for safer travel so as to prevent the contents from spilling. Although pricey, the food was worth every dollar and cent! Portions were far from skimpy. It took three days to finish the Pollo Chijaukay! The same with the Chaufa! The only thing that could've finished in a day was the Hot and Sour soup. So definitely no gripe about sizing. We definitely will return to either revisit the same items, or try new ones. Btw, the menus on the tables were in Spanish. There are other menus in English. You can view them up front at the order counter. If you are a fan of Peruvian food or Chinese food [our friend mentioned the heavy Chinese influence in Peru], this is your place! Get both together under one roof, fusion style! Chifa Tay Pa.
