Venezuelan bakery with a traditional food menu and small pastry offerings baked fresh in-store each…read moreday per the clerk. The empanadas looked promising but the guava pastries were puffed up with dark purple guava peeking out. At only $2.35 it was a bargain for just the visual appeal. The fifteen year old bakery had simple decor with no crazy modernization and a relaxed vibe. My pastry was heated up and was thick and the crust was not overly flaky. After attacking the center with an aggressive bite, the guava began oozing out and I was in dire need of a napkin. This was one of the more tasty guavas that I have tried. The gender assigned bathroom was clean with terracotta floors and wood finishes.

This restaurant was a complete surprise to us. We assumed it was just a bakery so we had never…read morevisited it. When we stopped by recently, we found it had a complete menu of various Latin/Spanish cuisines. We came for lunch and wound up having our leftovers for dinner as the portions were huge. My husband had one of their specials -- a roast pork plate with black beans and white rice and well cooked sweet plantains. He said it was very good. I ordered their steak sandwich. I got everything on it except the onions and asked for the "pink" sauce to be served on the side. Two people could have easily shared this sandwich and still had leftovers. In addition to a seasoned flat steak, there was lettuce, tomato, cheese, and potato sticks. The bread it was on was exceptionally good. I would certainly order this sandwich again. In addition, we tried their guava and cream cheese taquitos. These were good -- small wrapped cigar like dough around a filling -- but there was more cheese than guava. And I was craving a more sweet than savory experience. We both said that we wished we had discovered this place sooner. We would definitely have come here often. Good food at reasonable prices with large portions? A perfect combo. The ambiance is casual, no frills. Service was fine -- you order and pay at the counter. They call your name when your order is ready. And English/Spanglish was more than understood comfortably. Yes, we will be back.

The best burger I've had in over a decade. Much, much better than the $40 gastropub burgers people…read moretalk about... I'm specifically referring to the "basic" burger which, omg, is anything but. I was suspicious of the standard toppings -- who puts corn on a burger ffs? But I didn't want to be culturally ethnocentric so I had a basic burger as prepared... Absolutely perfect, just heavenly. The fries were good too. Be sure to sample both the green sauce (cilantro and garlic in a mayo base?) and the bacon sauce (smoky and tangy). I've heard good things from friends about the rest of the menu. But that burger, damn, I'm tearing up just thinking about it.

They're open till 12AM so a great late night meal. Service was friendly and easily accessible, the ambiance was very inviting. They're known for the Picanha burger my friend got it and it was really the size of his face LOL. The chicken sandwich was fried to a crisp tender and filled with flavor! And you can never go wrong with a simple cheeseburger, I wish the patty was a bit more thin... but I asked for a juicy burger and that's exactly what I received LOL so no complaints here! Fries 12/10. And their sauces are immaculate!!!!!! Go try their Tamarac location truly a delight.

TRINO RESTAURANT…read more 7891 W Sample Road, Coral Springs Also: 6965 W Commercial Blvd, Tamarac, FL 33319 Venezuelan burgers at Trino -- trust me, ignore the outside and go in. This Coral Springs location has only been open about a month. It used to be a Peruvian restaurant called Italo (same owner), and honestly the exterior still carries that awkward in-between energy. Blacked-out glass, neon, very much "is this a vape shop or an adult bookstore?" vibes. Then you walk inside -- and it's a complete personality shift. The interior is a full-on nerd shrine: Star Wars posters, Marvel art, retro signs, guitars on the wall, framed pop culture everywhere. Clean, bright, casual, and clearly meant to be fun. It feels intentional, not kitschy. The food absolutely backs it up. These are Venezuelan-style smash burgers -- double patties, aggressively juicy, stacked with white cheese, Munster, bacon, potato stix, and a soft toasted bun that somehow holds together despite the chaos. You can see it in the cross-section: no dry beef, no filler, just meat, fat, cheese, and crunch. But the real differentiator here is the sauce situation. They bring out squeeze bottles like you're about to conduct a science experiment: * Ajo (garlic) * Blue cheese (excellent) * Bacon (ridiculous) * Sweet corn (unexpectedly great) * Trino sauce (tangy ranch-style) Get fries for the table and just start mixing. This place understands that sauces are not a garnish -- they're the point. Beyond burgers, the menu goes full Venezuelan and Colombian: perros (loaded hot dogs), cachapas (sweet corn pancake sandwiches), empanadas, patacones. This isn't a burger place pretending to do Latin food -- it's Latin street food that happens to do burgers extremely well. Bottom line: The outside may make you hesitate. Don't. Inside is fun, the burgers are legit, and the sauce game alone earns the visit. A genuinely solid addition to Coral Springs -- and one I'll be going back to.

It came with bacon, double patties, tomatoes, caramelized onions, Muenster cheese and sauces. I as told there was a special sauce on it. I also got fries and an apple soda. The apple soda was pretty good and the fries were fresh. I paired the garlic sauce with ketchup and it was great. The burger was good but it as a bit salty for my taste. I usually don't like ketchup on my burger but I added it hoping to cut some of the salt. It helped but I ended up taking the rest home. I would come here again and try other menu items. They offer picahna as a protein and other foods I'd like to try. Service was great as well.
