Went there on our way back from Oregon. What a jewel!!! This place has delicious food. The staff was super friendly and the portions were huge. I wish I could have eaten more. They serve you a ton of chips with salsa with a side of guacamole, or my gosh divine. I wish they were here in San Diego, as in my opinion they are better than most Mexican eateries here. If you are lucky to live or be traveling by Northern CA, please make sure to give this place a try. Checked yelp while staying in Red Bluff and this place had great ratings. Now I know why!! Large servings, friendly staff and great atmosphere. I could tell this is a local favorite. Many people walking in and getting there orders to go and most of the tables were full. Have the guacamole and chips too! No disappointment here. read more

Great spot for breakfast. My sister and I were passing through, and we left sated. She got the huevos rancheros and I got a delicious chorizo scramble. The waitress was very nice and the service was prompt. Well worth a visit. read more

Disgusting, over priced, food. Me and my boyfriend were new to town and wanted some good food to eat. We were seated at a sticky table with dirty seats. Our waiter offered us salsa, chips, and beans. which he did not mention would be charged as an appetizer (beans). We had one dip each in the beans. They were dry and obviously old. I ordered a beer and it took our waiter more than enough time to bring to me. Beer was not even cold. My boyfriend got the shrimp cocktail, that tasted like it was reheated and shrimp was rubbery. His drink was served in a dirty glass. I had the camarones mojo al ajo. Disgusting, I've had it plenty of time in many different restaurants. And THAT was not it at all. And to make matters worse both of us got sick from the food. Now to those who do like real Mexican/edible food i wouldn't recommend this place at all! Eat here! So yummy. Huge portions of delicious Mexican food. Super friendly staff. Huge beverages to quench in that Central Valley heat. The carnitas are awesome, as are enchiladas, tamales and the Mocajete. We ate here both nights in Red Bluff. read more

We came in after hearing that this was a pretty decent place. First off, the chips were stale and rated like grease, and the salsa was very bad. The Margarita that I ordered was neon green and had the most unpleasant syrupy taste that I literally had to go wash my mouth out.The queso dip we ordered was bright orange, and the after taste I experienced was similar to that of coagulated milk that one accidentally drinks. I cannot comment on the dinner....the appetizer was so bad that we went somewhere else to eat. I am very surprised to see ANY decent reviews on here. And very surprised to see that in a place filled with Mexican ethnic employees that this place was as bad as it was. Upon leaving I noticed flies hovering on and around the so called salsa bar. This restaurant is a gem! When we moved from SoCal, we stumbled onto Los Mariachis and now must stop here every time we are within 100 miles - The rellanos are terrific, the Green Sauce is to die for (you MUST like to enjoy HOT as well as flavorful), and the Pollo Michoacan (Grandma's home chicken, our favorite waitress tells us) is just fantastic. Our favorite place for great food, excellent friendly service, and all at very good prices. You Rock, Los Mariachis! read more

We found this place on our way home from Lassen National Park. We wanted Mexican food for lunch and this restaurant was really great! The service was fantastic, they have a great staff of people working for them all very attentive and quick. We both ordered carnitas plates and they were delicious. The portions were generous size and the carnitas were cooked perfectly. I also liked the chips and salsa they served. We would definitely stop by again for lunch or dinner. read more

Not a fan. I ordered the huevos rancheros and the eggs were very undercooked (I ordered them over medium). I was only able to eat the beans and rice which were just ok. Since moving to Cottonwood from Redding, we've been looking to satisfy our Mexican food craving that compares to Guadalajara's in Redding. As we generally refer to Yelp for recommendations, we have tried Los Mariachis on 3 separate occasions. The first occasion, the dining room was hot - so we chalked it up to a unique event that can sometimes be unavoidable. The second visit was spent swatting away flies from our food - again, we gave them benefit of the doubt that this was not typical. On our third and last visit, there were only 2 other parties seated so we mistakenly thought we would get served promptly. Not only did we wait 25 minutes without our food being served, but the entire time we were swatting at flies again. Walking back from the restroom, I noticed a bus cart loaded with dirty dishes - perhaps the reason for the flies? Since they open at 9:00 a.m. and we arrived at 10:30 a.m. There must have been some kind of breakfast rush to have accumulated that many dirty dishes. The buffet started at 11:00 and I completely lost my appetite thinking about the flies landing on the food. We left the restaurant without eating and stopped at Burrito Bandido to pick up some food to take home. The food is passable, the wait staff very polite, but all in all, this restaurant needs better management. read more

It's just ok, and I would definitely try another restaurant in town before coming back. Service was great and the folks are very nice. However they started off bad when we ordered a margarita and they made it by poring it out of premise gallon jugs. For dinner we had seafood and it was just ok. great food, poor service from the moment you sit down. take your order and never get you your drink. Don't follow up to see if you need anything additional. You need to find someone and ask then you'll "may" actually get service/ waitresses are nice but seem to be "asleep". waited so long for my drink went across the street to got my own, waitress did not even noticed and never got mine. read more
