A-ok!! First take was that.
Maybe it's better.... Let's go with better...
Small town Mexican food vibe for the win.
The whole town comes here at least once a month, I would bet my salary on it.
It's full of locals and river tourist. Lots of self made men with dirty hands, so it seems.
I saw several trucks with that theme, and entire families wearing some version of "Dirty hands, clean money". One truck said "dirty hands, still broke". Clever guy!
I much prefer clean hands, lots of money, if I am being honest. Don't understand why you want your hands to be dirty. That's unsanitary for goodness sake.
Local law enforcement was present as well. Homeboy must eat here often and of much quantity. If you know him tell him I said, "Hey, Hey, Hay!"
Staff is nice enough. Mostly Latino with some Gringo sprinkled in.... They took good care of us.
Inside looks slightly unfinished. Outside too. Lots of junk laying around inside and out. Strange to see random junk just lying around. Overgrown weeds out front and on the patio. Empty plant containers and I swear they is a broken down tractor in the yard.
Beer was super cold and I like that a lot. I can look past almost anything if I have a beer.
Food did the trick though, and filled us up after a day on the river. I will say it was the better of the meals we had here. We actually ate most of it.
Everyone gets their own salsa bowl. It's pretty good salsa too. Chips were tasty salsa vessels as well. Cheese dip is as bland and it is white.
I had the Chile Verde. It was good. The rice was not. However, I really enjoyed the Charro Beans a lot. It was a nice change from your normal refried beans you normally get. You have three bean choices. I like bean choices.
C got some fancy Nachos but did not love them. I think she failed to fully read the description. They were pretty Nachos though.
Lil' A only had rice.... Strange kid
Her boyfriend had beef Nachos. Looked pretty plain. He is that kind of guy though.
No dessert. We were full.
I'd stop again. Chile Verde and all...
