What's the deal about eggs ???…read more La Hacienda is a down to earth, unassuming and friendly place where truckers, traveling nurses, and all kinds of people come together over genuinely excellent, shamelessly affordable Mexican food. Starved .... I showed up at 11:15 AM craving Huevos Rancheros and found out they'd cut off breakfast at 11 AM. I get that restaurants have systems, but La Hacienda is in the perfect position to serve breakfast ALL day. Shift workers need breakfast all day. Truckers eat at weird times and also need breakfast all day. Nurses finishing graveyard shifts still need breakfast all day. The food quality and value here are genuinely unbeatable, which makes this so frustrating. So what's the deal with the arbitrary cutoff???? Why can't eggs be served all day? I've never understood this.

I was trying to order a hot sauce found in most Mexican restaurants but could not remember the name. The server suggested i try the homemade green hot sauce. This was excellent, if you like hot sauce be sure to try it. We finished the meal with a cheesecake chimichanga. This is a fun idea but I recommend sharing. After seeing positive reviews on Yelp, my wife and I decided to try this place out. We typically go…read moreto La Hacienda for our Mexican food fix but opted to try something different for lunch. This place is quite small/cramped. We placed our order then found a high table for two. We both like carnitas so I ordered the Carnitas Burrito and my wife tried their Carnitas Quesadillas. Our observations: 1. This place does NOT provide complimentary chips and salsa. What?!!! 2. Carnitas flavor was lacking in our opinion. We liked the seared tortillas but were underwhelmed by the flavor 3. Service was friendly and food came out fast enough 4. We didn't think the value was there. 5. Ample parking in front. All in all, our experience fell short of high expectations. We'll be sticking with La Hacienda. Lunch for 2 (just water to drink) came out to just under $35 with tip.
