The family went here for Father's Day and we had a very nice time. The food and service were excellent (contrary to the negative reviews.) The portions were sizable and quite tasty. Be warned about the salsa flight...a couple were muy caliente! The decor was light years above the previous incarnations at this location. Definitely recommended. read more

If you are looking for TexMex keep looking. This is authentic Mexican food. They are still in the process of bringing the kitchen staff up to their standards in the other Los Carboncitos local to Denver. They have several restaurants. Ive been to the one on Sheridan and Jewel before and it was great. Chips were fresh and the accompanying 5 salsas were different and tasty. The orange one had peanuts which was not mentioned until I asked what was in it. I liked that one and the avocado the best. My partner had the chicken enchiladas with red sauce. Unfortunately the chicken was very dried out. The dish was taken off the bill and our waitstaff was actually happy we told them because the owner was in the kitchen doing traning that day. I had the soft chili rellenos with green chili. Delicious. You can get it with one of 3 other sauces, one being the traditional tomato sauce, if you want. The green chili was excellent imo. They do have the crispy relleno version in this location but not in the others. Note there are no egg roll wrappers in Mexico. Rice was good and black beans with melted cheese very good. The plate came with a very fresh small side salad with an oil vinegar dressing. Corn tortillas were homemade very tasty. The restaurant inside is bright and nice. Pricing seems a bit high but I just ate the leftovers for lunch and they were almost as good as yesterday when fresh. This location has been a death keell for every restaurant that has been located there. All of them very good. Seems that LoneTree dosent allow signage on the main road. The restaurant is tucked back in by Sam's Club and not very visible on the road out front. The menus is large. I'll be back. read more

This was my first time at this restaurant within walking distance of Brothers Bar and Grill. The atmosphere was great and the food was pretty good although a little bit on the pricy side. The most shocking discovery about this restaurant is that I didn't notice until later that there is a charge of 3% of the total bill for the use of a credit card. No other restaurants in the immediate area have this kind of a charge. Unless I'm paying cash which I don't usually carry around I will not be going back because this charge was not disclosed by the restuarant. read more

The Lone Tree location opened last week and we tried it tonight. Food was good but their prices were NOT They charged 25% more on their in restaurant menu than the website menu for the same items. Lone Tree has higher prices and add on $4 for chips and Salsa $13 for Guacamole, 3% credit card fee The manager said that's their local Lone Tree add on fees. My $55 meal cost $80 without drinks or dessert! Buyer beware !!! Very disappointed and will not return!!! read more

In two recent lunch visits my wife and I had chicken fajitas and fajita burritos. There is no special lunch menu. Chips are included, with their salsa and a sampler of 4 other sauces - this was a nice touch and I really liked the avocado sauce. The fajitas are wonderful, nicely grilled, but the accompaniment plate had rice and beans with some sort of salad but no pico, cheese, sour cream, guac or anything. We requested a little sour cream and got charged 2.99 for a tablespoon in a small cup. The burrito was very good with the fajita meat and veggies chopped up with some rice and beans. Their burritos do not come smothered so it must be added for an additional charge. Also beware of the credit card surcharge; their little charges start to add up and should be included more up front in the menu. Enough griping - the service was very good, the decor and ambiance are appropriate and comfortable. We will be returning but they fall just short of being our automatic go to for Mexican. read more

After two previous visits that were disappointing and telling my son I wouldn't return, he had made glowing comments based on his experiences at the Highlands location, he wanted to go to the Lonetree location to check it out. Third time is a charm ( also he said one of the owners was there). This time the food was delicious. The service was great and I will return. Had a bowl of the creamy poblano soup that was a new dish for me. And it was so good. We both had burritos, I had chicken fajita , he had steak. They serve theirs with rice and beans in the burrito. I prefer they are served on the side but still very good. And we could have shared and still have leftovers. For 3 dollars extra they come smothered in their excellent green chili. Their sides sauces are also fresh and tasty, but too spicy for my palate. We also shared one crispy chile relleno. I always order soft style, by my son orders their rellenos crispy style. And I might be a convert. Unlike other restaurants that use an egg roll wrap, they wrap it in their homemade flour tortillas, and it made all the difference. The restaurant has been different places that haven't survived- possibly due to no entrance off of Quebec. I hope the restaurant succeeds- and I highly recommend it. read more
