Customer service was 5/5, that being said, I was craving fish and shrimp tacos so when I found this place on Yelp, I was SO excited and couldn't wait to try it out. I got the Cabo taco, two fish tacos, and an al pastor taco. Let's start off with the al pastor. It was TERRIBLE. The meat tasted like the al pastor you purchase at the store. The seasoning was awful which made the taco terrible overall. The fish tacos...the fish was incredibly thin and full of grease. Not enough meat, just a lot of fried batter and grease. The Cabo taco was pretty good but there wasn't a lot of fried fish and fried shrimp. Overall, it was a lot of excitement which led to a severe letdown. They have great weekly specials and these awesome roasted chiles except they're fried. So naturally full of grease. Also, you have to purchase these chiles. Which is also a letdown. I won't be back. Food was alright and came out quickly. The only qualms I have about this place are the price of sides. Odd right? Typically I'd let it go but this was particularly ridiculous: I decided to get some rice with my tacos. It was kind of a lot ($2.25) for a side of something that I know probably costs a fifth if not more of that price but hey, I wanted rice and I'm sure they'd be generous with the portions. They weren't. What I got was a miniature container that was at best maybe 50 cents worth of rice. Mind you, a taco costs $1.69-3. Save yourself some money and just order another damn taco, or two. Went in here not knowing what to get and was pleasantly pleased with what I ordered. I ordered a shrimp ceviche tostada, a fish taco and a shrimp taco. Both the fish and shrimp in the tacos were deep fried in a batter Ensenada style. The shrimp ceviche was delicious and tasted fresh. The tacos were both good too add all the salsas on it and it gives it a good kick. My son had asada tacos and apparently they were also good. My husband ordered an asada quesadilla and said it was ok nothing special. In search for some ceviche, stumbled onto this place. Another hole in the wall place but very clean. Customer service is on par. We ordered the Campechana cocktail, mixed ceviche tostada and a pollo taco. The campechana came with a mix of shrimp, clams, octopus, and abalone. Was excited to see there was abalone but soon to find out it was imitation. But didn't really matter the cocktail was good. My favorite was the octopus. Only complaint is it was a bit sweet but easily cured with a few dashes of Tapitio. The mixed ceviche came with shrimp, fish and imitation crab. This ceviche was made right, nothing was pre-cooked, only marinated in lime juice. We got one taco just to try out their tacos. Based off reviews, I decided to visit to satisfy a taco Tuesday craving. I was excited to try the fish taco and it did NOT disappoint. My boyfriend really enjoyed the shrimp ceviche also. They were generous with the lime and the salsa. Inside its pretty no frills but clean. I got my order to go and it was fast. My order was ready in about 10 minutes or less. The price was really good for all the food I got. Why one star off? Number 1: I called ahead to place an order and no one answered. Number 2: the carne asada (I tried one taco) was bland and tough. I'd stick with the seafood although they have a California burrito on the menu which I may have to try. I'll update the review if the asada is better. The Cabos taco was really good. However, customer service was not so great. The girl working at he counter did not make us feel welcomed, unlike most Mexican places, and she didn't even have a positive attitude. Also, the fountain drinks are disgusting. We had them change our Raspberry Iced tea to Sprite and it was still disgusting.
