Recently, my friends and I went to this restaurant and was treated so poorly that we had to leave. The moment we walked through the door, the staff person that met us acted as if we were intruding on her personal time. When we asked to sit on the patio, she instructed us that we could, but we couldn't have alcohol. When we asked for clarification, she rolled her eyes and pointed to a table and said, "You can sit there." There were 4 of us, and she would only give us one menu. She continued to be rude and rolled her eyes, and walked away. I understand some may laugh at this post or ignore it, but customer service is important to the restaurant industry. Luckily, we went to another restaurant and received amazing service. There are many places to choose from, and if you can't give good customer service, you will fail. I will never go back to this restaurant and will tell anyone who asks about it to choose another place. It's not worth the attitude. read more

Good food. Do yourself a favor and get the birria tacos! My personal Mexican place in Andersonville. They used to be BYOB but have recently starting serving margaritas etc. Patio is cute even though they can't serve alcohol out there yet but; employee mentioned they're working on it! There some other Mexican restaurants in the areas that are more Insta worthy but this place won't try to sell you tacos with 14 ingredients squeezed into a 4 inch tortilla for $10 each. If I could, I would give this establishment a zero. I have eaten here before because it is just three blocks from my home. The food and service used to be good. My problem today, and it was a big one, was the service. I went in after work, and there were only two other tables in there. One of them had already eaten. I waited almost ten minutes and never got served. I noticed that the server was doing carryout orders, and that's fine. However, when she was done dealing with those, she just stood behind the counter and stared at me sitting at the table. Even after I closed the menu and still sat there waiting, she continued to ignore me. I will never patronize this restaurant again. It's no wonder they only had two tables of diners on a beautiful summer night. read more

I've only done takeout and each time they are quick and delicious! Both times I ordered the taco dinner. They're basic street tacos with your choice of well seasoned meat. I'm not a huge fan of refried beans, but their's has so much flavor that I have to mention them. The horchata is refreshing. And if you're getting chips and salsa, get the guac too. I think I ate about half of the portion they sent over by myself because it was so good. Their tamales are on my list, but I have yet to try them. I hear good things, though. Since it's takeout, I'm not interacting with the staff too much, but they always give a little more than a just asking for a name and giving an emotionless thank you. They greet you with a smile even while finishing a task and are pretty personable. Whenever things go back to normal, I hope to visit for a sit down meal. read more

normally come here for date nights and its always delicious until we came tonight. cheese dip 1. took 25+ min to come out and 2. was ice cold- not room temp, ICE COLD. waited probably 10 min in hopes of our server returning, but ended up having to go up to the counter to let them know about the dip. and again, took over 20 minutes to receive it again. $9.99 cheese dip and then didnt receive enough chips to eat all of it so half of it was wasted. the rice is ...weird, it has beans and peas in it (????). seems like when there's more than 2 tables in the restaurant everything from food quality to service immediately falls apart. really sad because i wanna see this place succeed, but probably won't be returning after tonight. read more

I come in here every now and again when I don't feel like paying nouveau prices. Usually its a taco dinner. 3 generous tacos, rice and beans + great salsa and chips. Stopped in for lunch on our first visit. It's a great location, for sure, but it's all downhill from there. The service was horrible. There were only 3 other tables seated in the restaurant so it wasn't busy. It took 15 minutes to get a glass of water and iced tea. Waiting for our order became an all afternoon adventure. We watched the other tables waiting for their food, and noticed that at each table, food was coming out for one person at a time with several minutes in between, as though the kitchen was only able to cook one plate at a time. Sure enough, my partner got his chimichanga, and then as he finished his meal, my Suisse burrito came out. About halfway through my burrito, our appetizer came out (guacamole) Throughout this long wait, they never refilled our empty glasses. Wow. 5-stars. Whoa ladies, don't fret. I'm gonna get in there just a minute but something needs to be said right off the bat here.... Albien, the server IS A STAR (Spelling!?!?) She runs that place, and everytime I go there with my girlfriends, she's the only one there! But let me tell you, food is lickety split and always tasty: I love the Asada tacos with cilantro and onions. (I would take a bullet for cilantro) Super affordable. Super authentic. If you like guacamole and authentic corn tortilla fish tacos with fresh lime and Pico de gallo, this is a good choice! The tortilla chips ars tasty, and strong enough to scoop up the sizable amount of guac that comes with the appetizer order, which was also enough to combine with the Verde sauce on top of the loaded fish tacos. No. Just no. This place has been here for ages so you figure they must be doing something right but no. I consider myself to be a bit of a burrito/taco connoisseur. I grew up with them. They were my friends. Through them I learned how to live, laugh and love. Through the burrito/taco, I learned, to be a man. I have a rule that hasn't failed me yet. If a place has a burrito that costs more than $6.50 9 times out of 10 it comes with meat that is not Arrachera/skirt steak and it's about half the size of what a burrito should be. Essentially the more they charge, the less you get. If you want a burrito here its $7.50 and if you want beef there's an up-charge. What that tells me is that they place more emphasis in filling their bottom line then making damn sure that my pants no longer fit when I'm done eating. And that, is unforgivable. A burrito isn't a meal. A burrito is love. It's an event. A burrito is prom night/first kiss/new baby type of event wrapped in a tortilla. If you are someone who just doesn't care how much things cost and crave a snack sized burrito then this is your place. The burrito here is small and the meat is salty. Horchata is made in a pitcher and stored in a fridge so that when served it tastes of cilantro. As far as burrito/taco joints go I wouldn't recommend this one at all. read more

I've been going to Los Arcos for over 10 years now and it was usually pretty decent but sometimes less consistent. However, I ordered delivery from here last night and it was on a whole other level! But we're lucky because we're ordering offline so maybe it's a bit more anonymous (hopefully)? We love this place. We've ordered quite a few things off the menu before we found out favorites, and everything is well prepared, *properly* seasoned, and yummy. Their red sauce is nice and spicy and they make a flavorful, unspicy, green tomatillo sauce. It's a nice neighborhood spot and I am glad they've been able to stay open during the pandemic. read more

My roommate and her friend ordered this from grub hub last night, and fortunately from me there was a ton of food so I was able to try some. They each got the quesadilla appetizer with chicken, and they said it was really good. It also came with a huge mound of guac. They also ordered a side of guac (which looked like two giant ice cream scoopers worth), and got an abundance of chips. The guac was also tasty. Finally, they had the papa fritas, which were kind of amazing. The seasoning was spicy and delicious. The amount of food for the price can't be beat. For late night Thursday movie watching and drinking, this is a fine choice. I had to contact GrubHub to get a refund. I will not be giving them a third chance. I don't know what happened. My friend and I stopped here for the first time yesterday. It was absolutely some of the best Mexican food we've ever eaten. Food is mediocre and not really worth going out of your way for. The bar and restaurant has extremely bright lighting and lacks a comfortable atmosphere. Unless basking in the glow of multiple big screen TV's and bright lights is your idea of "comfortable". I ordered the Don Chidos tacos which have chicken and bacon. Chicken was a little over cooked like it was prepped hours before and the the bacon over whelmed the over-all flavor of the taco. I guess you could argue that bacon doesn't belong in a taco so my fault for ordering. Service sucked. Bartender was slow to take initial order and then literally never spoke to me again until I asked for a water and my check at the end. The only service during the eating of my meal was a very young server with braces who walked up to the service bar and asked me if I was done when I had a 1/2 a plate of food left. I told her I was taking a break (I don't shovel my food in my face). She then said I looked tired and sweaty. This is a rude thing to say to someone. When I paid and went to leave no one said a word including the bartender who just watched me leave. Very bizarre and not good. Bad service is kind of rampant these days but there are still places that know how to train their staff properly. Los Arcos unfortunately, is not one of them. read more
