This neighborhood bar, from the outside, appears to be nothing more than a typical Spanish bar. For my friends and me, though, this is exactly its charm. We've been to Los Angeles over 20 times since our first tosta, and its dependability never disappoints. The wait staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, and the tapas are creative (and, refreshingly, they are more than just your basic crisps or olives). Los Angeles is decently-sized, and it's a perfect bar for watching Real Madrid games with a group. The clientele is often mixed, and includes old folks sipping coffee and cheering "Hala Madrid!", young Madrileños catching up on life over some cañas, couples dining, foreigners looking for an authentic Spanish experience, and just about everyone in between. The bar has an extensive tosta menu (I'll go ahead and recommend the queso de cabra con nueces y fresas) in addition to a full-service one for dining. The free wifi there is also a plus. In fact, I'd be hard-pressed to find anything unsatisfactory to say about this local gem! It's definitely a place to include in your restaurant playbook. read more
