I ordered regular tacos. The avocado slices were black but edible. The chips were stale and not crispy. The to go bag was wet on the inside and the taco containers were also wet. I usually am pleased with the food but this time was way below par. I wonder if they changed management. read more

Review is based on food only since we ordered take-out. - Torta (Carnitas - Fried Pork with no tomatoes): In general, it was really good. The portions of everything was just right and the meat was nicely cooked. Since it was take-out, I was expecting a pretty soggy sandwich, but to my surprise, it still had some toasty crunch to it. I imagine it would be way more delicious if I had it fresh. Overall, 5/5. - Super Taco (Pollo - Chicken with light cheese): My boyfriend said the tacos were good, but the chicken was kind of bland. Just as the name says, the taco was super hefty with a lot of toppings, which could be a good or bad thing--good because they weren't stingy with the toppings, but bad because it was really hard to eat without everything spilling. Also, the avocado used was old, so my boyfriend had to take that out. We also asked for light cheese, which was written on our printed receipt, but my he did not see or taste any cheese at all. 3.5/5. - Super Taco (Asada - Steak with light cheese): My boyfriend liked the asada more and thought it was really good. Again, a hefty taco with old avocado and no cheese in sight. But overall, still a tasty taco. 4/4. - Chips: The chips were pretty bland, but you get a few pieces that were super salty. 3/5. read more

I stumbled upon Los Amigos as I frequent the Grant plaza. I came in on a weekday around 3PM for a late lunch (lol) and decided to order 3 tacos -- 2 carne asada, 1 carnitas! There was no one in the restaurant probably because it was 3PM, but the place was spacious and super clean which I can appreciate. Each taco was pretty expensive, close to $4 each. It is definitely pricier compared to your local taco trucks but keep in mind they lease out an actual space so their expenses are definitely different. Still affordable though. They have a salsa bar with a bunch of different salsas, condiments, things you would typically find. I got some lime, pico de gallo, and two different types of salsa. My order was ready within a few minutes of ordering which was great! My first impressions -- wow these tacos are HUGE! Like definitely bigger than any tacos I've ever had. They don't skimp on their portions. This makes the price point so much more reasonable for me. The tacos did lack an abundance of cilantro, which is important for me, but in their defense, it was offered at the salsa bar. I guess I just assumed it would come with more? Oh and it also came with a little complimentary bag of chips that I paired with the pico de gallo I got at the salsa bar. Both the carnitas and carne asada meat itself tasted amazing. I would say their salsas and pico de gallo needed more flavor. I got Salsa de Arbol and Salsa Guacamole and neither of them were really doing it for me. Something felt missing, but I was still satisfied in the end. The tacos were huge, the meat was juicy, and service was quick and friendly! I will definitely give this place a try again in the near future. read more

5/6/2021 Los Amigos 1040 Grant Rd Ste 305 Mountain View, CA 94040 This place used to be Una Mas. Los Amigos is an upgrade. I wasn't that hungry so I ordered the taqueria asada and carnitas tacos for an indoor lunch. My order was ready shortly and came with a bag of chips. There was no salsa bar yet so I got a tub of the spicy salsa. The beef was diced and a little chewy with a good grill flavor. The pork was seasoned lightly and tender. A good deal for 5 bucks, definitely repeatable. read more

Saw this place was new and had to try it. We got 1 shrimp burrito, 1 lengua super burrito, 1 BBQ pork burrito, 1 flauta appetizer, 2 fish tacos, and 1 Carne Asada taqueria taco. All the burritos were pretty hefty weighing about 24 oz and very filling. The BBQ pork burrito is very colorful and had that sweetness of the sauce accompanied with the savory pork. The shrimp and super burrito were both excellent. The tacos were also pretty good. The flauta appetizer was amazing with both dipping sauces. One was a cheesy sauce and the other was a fruity sauce, kind of like sweet n sour, and it complemented the savory chicken and cheese in the crisp shell. We would get it again. We got a generous amount of salsa, there's 3 different kinds and some chips. I also tried the horchata and it was great. Overall, would go back again. read more

Pretty decent spot, and we'll be back to try a few other things in the menu. This review is actually fortwo separate orders from this restaurant. The first was to satisfy a late night nacho craving that we got delivered, and the second one was for a pick up after a long hike. The first order would honestly be a 5/5. We got the vegetarian nachos, and they were amazing. I did not think that I would actually enjoy zucchini and carrots on my nachos, but they were seasoned so well, and the staff was incredibly thoughtful with our customization. I asked for no onions and because their guacamole and pico de gallo have some in there they went ahead and put them in a separate container. I know that might seem small, but was definitely appreciated. Our carry out order was for two wet burritos, and some flan. The burritos were good. No complaints, but definitely not the best wet burritos that we've had. I got chicken for my protein, my husband got the carne Asada. I hate to say it, but the flan was pretty bad. It basically tasted like custard flavored Jell-O. We will definitely be trying the churros next time we come here. Overall it was pretty good, but I think we need to stop by one more time to see if this is going to be a staple in our rotation. read more

I'm so sorry, the 4 stars are overreaching. 5 star kindness from the staff, but the food is bland to bad. One of the salsas tastes of cleaning product, the pico has no taste at all. Flan with synthetic food dye and no caramel. Banal yet chaotic ambiance. Used to be such a sweet different real wholesome Mexican joint in this spot. Alas! Will try the food truck around the corner next time. read more

Just got a shrimp burrito from here, and it was...not it. Having slices of pineapple in it was a choice. Maybe an acquired taste? The rice was undercooked, so that messed with the texture. And the ingredients weren't distributed well, so you get all of the guac in one part and the chipotle mayo at the end. I wouldn't go back again, at least not for this dish. read more

Was in search of a breakfast burrito and this one was amazing!! Both the regular and super breakfast burrito were packed with egg, meat, guac and more. There was also a salsa bar and free chips with purchase, definitely coming back here! Also, super friendly staff :) read more

We were regular customer. Very poor customer service from the management. I placed a $200 order via the app for food for a New Year's Eve party, with a 5pm pick up. When I went to get the food, there was a sign on the door saying they closed at 3pm for NYE. No one called me, I'm out the money and don't have any food. I called and went into the restaurant twice before they returned my money. read more

I recently tried a Chicken Super Burrito and some tacos. Overall, very unimpressive and wouldn't order again. The burrito itself is very wet inside, which is likely due to too much pico de gallo. The tacos are very dry and did not include salsa in them or on the side. The food is not completely inedible, but I wouldn't recommend it. Pros: Large portions Free chips Cons: Did not include any salsa Dark meat chicken (I know some people prefer this, but I certainly don't.) read more

Tiny spot in a strip mall. Don't let that stop you. Really great staff and delicious, fresh, authentic Mexican food. They have a fresh salsa bar with a good variety of sauces, radishes, cilantro and limes. Fish burrito made big & fresh. Really tasty and enjoyable. I can't to come back. Give this little place a try. read more

Great service with nice staff. Food was great with great verity! Perfect for Mexican food cravings

I'll tell you what, I was really pulling for this place! It's a clean spot with friendly staff, a salsa bar and they actually bring your food to your table. What's there not to like, I mean a full service salsa bar is everyone's jam! Now to the reason for my 3 stars borderline 4 is because of the amount of rice in my burrito. So I ordered a Carne Asada burrito (my go to). And usually the first bite or 2 is mostly rice as most places but as I kept eating I started to think "did I order a Spanish rice burrito" lol! I took it personally sort of because of the rave reviews compared to what I was served, definitely a polar opposite. I'm not going to say my expectations were high as the meat ratio in my burrito was 1:8. No lies! Don't know if I'll go back and just stick to my usual neighborhood spot. I came here because I work close. The salsa bar albeit a bit messy was phenomenal, hopefully the burritos catch up. read more

We ordered catering for our teachers from Los Amigos through EZ Cater. We got chicken tacos, veggies tacos, quesadillas, salad. They enjoyed it! They especially found the salad delicious - the pineapple really elevated it! And the citrus dressing is quite delicious! They liked the salsas too - though even the mild had a kick, so I can only imagine what the spicy would be like. They gave HUGE tubs of salsa, so there was a lot left. read more

Came here on a Sunday morning and found it to be a quick, casual place, to get Mexican food! Good: Large large portion sizes and also they come with a free salsa station! I got the veggie bowl and really liked the variety of ingredients that it came with - the cojita cheese, to the zucchini, it was a very healthy tasting dish and I didn't feel greasy at all after eating. Bad: The nachos were really standard, a little stale maybe, just not super fresh. Overall liked how quick the food came out, how much they give, and the price is reasonable too! read more

This place is fresh and americanized. The food itself is great but it's defintiely not what certain people would say, authentic. They do everything quite interesting here. The refried beans are pureed. The chorizo has no fat/oil/grease. I can see all the great reviews based on this place itself. I would not compare it to a hole in the wall Taqueria, doesn't seem fair. But great for someone trying to be healthy! read more

Today the hubs and I stopped by to give Los Amigos a try. They had some pretty good reviews so we thought we give them a try. You do need a mask to go in, they have coke products, bottle water can be purchased, they have a nice salsa bar. All food items come with chips and you help yourself to the salsa bar which includes pico (yummy). We got the super nachos sans meat. It was delicious and we enjoyed it very much. The hubs said the mild salsa was a bit hot for him I liked it. The people behind the counter know what they are doing and are fantastic. Come in over give them a try. Let me know what you think. read more

Really great spot for Mexican food with generous portions! I was craving some Mexican food and searching on Yelp and found Los Amigos. Super glad that I came by and gave it a try because everything was really tasty! I came by on a Friday night and there was only one other person in the store ordering, but they had a ton of phone orders. I ordered a super burrito with al pastor and a super nachos with asada. It came out to around $23 for both things total. It's really cool that they have the cooking and prep station right in front where you can see them preparing your food. They are extremely generous with their portions of meat and the food is a steal for that price based on the serving size. The burrito was made really well and just layered in a great way, where you could get a single bite of every thing in the burrito, whereas some places the beans are just on one side and meat on another. I loved the nachos as they put some red sauce on top of the chips, which really added a tasty layer of flavor and is something I've never seen before. The al pastor and asada were well seasoned and both things were more than enough to feed 2 people. Parking is easy in the large shared lot. Definitely will come back in the future to try more things or to just get those amazing nachos again! read more

Los Amigos - Super Nachos Plate with Asada - Mexican Near Me - Mountain View, California

Today, my family and I went to Los Amigos for our first time. The restaurant was well maintained, which is the very first thing I observe upon entering any establishment. All of the tables were cleaned and the floors were spotless. The staff kept up with organizing and keeping things tidy. The staff were also friendly and gave off a positive atmosphere. The dishes were home style and the portions were really nice. You definitely get the amount you pay for and I felt as though I was being served by family, which is a nice feeling to have in a restaurant. I ordered the chicken enchilada plate, which came with rice, beans and a salad. On the side I had chips and salsa to munch on. Let me tell you, their salsas are spicy and flavorful. I even took chips and salsa to go, so I could munch on them at night. The dish was nicely made. Everything was beautifully presented on the plate. However, I believe the Chicken Enchilada has room for improvement. The Enchiladas tasted good, but they were not amazing or to the point were I was craving for more. The red sauce over the Enchiladas were good. My mom, who ordered the same dish as me, said they are authentic and delicious. She also enjoyed the beans, but this is where I differ because in my opinion the beans could have had slightly more flavor. The texture and freshness was perfect. Perhaps, I may be use to having a bit more salt or Mexican cheese sprinkled over the beans. I felt something was missing. I plan to try this dish again to see if my opinion changes, but overall it was good, but as I mentioned, it has room for improvement. The Rice was okay. I can't really explain what I did or did not like about the rice. my mom said that the rice seemed to have been made in large batches and reheated throughout the course of the day. That was my mom's speculation. My husband ordered two carne asada tacos and the Bbq Pork Bowl. The tacos came first and they looked very appetizing, but he said it lacked the taco sauce that is custom with classic street tacos. The carne asada was dry and lacked flavor. What saved the tacos were the salsas from the salsa bar. The BBQ Pork Bowl smelled delicious. When eating it, my husband noticed that all the flavors are mixed together and not layered, so that you can discern one flavor from another. He had to add Pico the Gallo and lime juice to make it palatable. The portion size was great, but the layering of all the ingredients needs a little more work. The BBQ Pork has an immense amount of flavor which anyone could easily love eating. I'm rating this restaurant 4 stars. It could easily move up to 5 so long as they add just a tad more flavor to some of the dishes. I do plan to go back with my family to see how our next visit will be. I do recommend people to try this restaurant out. Hopefully with suggestions and our reviews we can help with improving this restaurant. It really is a nice small restaurant! read more

Simply the best burritos going right now in the Mtn View/Sunnyvale area! Amazing Carnitas, Asada, and more! Great service, fair prices, and staff that remembers you! What's not to love? Get the Carne Asada burrito, and the Al Pastor can't be beat! (Carnitas for the honorable mention but the others are our tops) Jamaica drink is a must sip! It rules! Do not miss out, you want to eat here! read more

We got an assortment of menu items to try, including a regular steak burrito, a carne asada burrito, a quesadilla, and three regular tacos. Nothing really stood out to us, and my conclusion was that the meat just wasn't very flavorful or marinated, which kind of makes every iteration of it also not very flavorful. My husband said it was similar to Gordo's in Berkeley, where the burritos are stuffed with cheese and rice, but he preferred Gordo's to this. The highlight item was the steak quesadilla, which came with guacamole and sour cream and was surprisingly yummy. Our kids gobbled this up. For Mexican food in the area, I'd stick with Taqueria La Bamba and Taqueria La Cazuela in East Palo Alto. read more

food and drinks was like NONE OTHER !!!! and Daniel is amazing we need more people like him in this world‍

We ordered takeout from here and it was a solidly ok experience. We got a cheese quesadilla, the super nachos with no meat, and the chipotle burrito bowl with steak. The chipotle bowl was definitely the favorite while the nachos were the least favorite. I ordered it without meat but somehow it came with a bunch of cooked zucchini and carrots on top of it which is not what I would have expected at all or wanted. I don't know if it was the cooked vegetables or something else but it just had a really odd taste to it. The cheese quesadilla was simple/just what we wanted. The other bonus is that plenty of chips came on the side, the downside was absolutely no salsa :( Might go back for something else but probably not top of my list of places to re visit read more
