My wife's dish was also excellent, and our French press coffee was really solid. Thoroughly enjoyed it, and the wait staff was wonderful. However, they did fantastic work.

My wife and I went there last night and were VERY disappointed. The food was mediocre - we had…read moreescargot as an app and it tasted like dirt. My wife could not eat it because the dirt taste was so strong. We are no strangers to escargot either, this was just not good quality. Main course was duck and lamb. It wasn't horrible but definitely not great and *not* French by any extension of the definition. The lamb looked and tasted like something thrown on a backyard BBQ. Presentation on the duck was messy and unattractive but the taste was decent. I think the best tasting thing we had there was the overpriced bottle of wine. The WORST thing about the whole experience, which was really a deal breaker for us, was the service was HORRIBLE. Just awful. The server was a short hobbled middle-aged man with glasses who had no idea what "good service" is. After taking our order he went over to a newly seated table, handed them menus and proceeded to tell them about the "wonderful" Chef Specials for the day. My wife and I looked at each other in shock - he never mentioned anything to us about these specials. So we ate our dirt-flavored escargot while we watched the table next to us eat a very good looking giant prawn with scallops that was never offered to us. Not once during our hour stay did the waiter ask us how our food was or check in with us at all. He basically brought our food to us and didn't come back until we needed the check. No refills on water, no asking if we'd like another bottle of wine, no service that you'd expect for an expensive restaurant what-so-ever. The really sad thing about this lack of service is that the waiter was not busy at all - there were only 2 other tables. I expect a much higher level of service if I'm going to spend $100+ on a meal for two. The final kicker that threw me over the edge was when one of the other tables got up to leave and the customer said, "Thank you, have a good evening." to the waiter but he was so self-absorbed in talking about himself to the other table about how he used to be a General Manager at so-and-so restaurant, knew all the top-chefs and blah-blah that he COMPLETELY ignored the leaving table. We watched him do this TWICE. Twice! Never said "Thank you for coming." or even acknowledged that his customers were leaving the establishment. Even when the customers were addressing him directly, he was so self-absorbed that he effectively ignored his customers. When my wife and I decided to go he was nowhere to be seen for about 10 minutes so we just got up and left. Fraiche has mediocre food and atrocious service. Really atrocious service. If you want something a bit high class, with a nice variety of food and excellent staff try Herbal Essence instead. Fraiche is a joke and I don't see it lasting long unless they do something about their terrible service and lackluster food. We will never go back and will tell all our friends to steer away from there as well.

Honestly the best thing about steakhouses in my opinion are the desserts. The Carrot Cake ($12) and the Chocolate Sack ($20 were humongous and bomb - definitely split! Parking is street parking only, and it gets tight once the restaurant gets busy. The atmosphere started out quiet but quickly turned lively as the night went on. The space feels clean, cozy, and homey, a good mix of casual and upscale without feeling stuffy. Service was excellent. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server was friendly, professional, and perfectly timed, attentive without hovering or rushing us. For food, I ordered the Brussels sprouts with jalapeno, ham, and parmesan, also had the butternut squash agnolotti with sage butter. The agnolotti was well made and rich, though a touch on the sweet side for my taste. The Brussels sprouts were fine, but the mild jalapenos caught me off guard. My friend had the chicory salad and really enjoyed it. In hindsight, I wished I had gone with something a little lighter too. Overall, it was a good meal with warm service and a comfortable atmosphere. I would go back, but next time I would explore another item on the menu.

I brought it back to my room and enjoyed it while catching up on email, and it hit the spot. The next night, I went back and ordered the same Grapefruit Drop again because I liked it so much. I tried the Fish and Chips this time, and it was delicious with crisp batter and tender fish. The slaw was crisp but mild, kind of the vanilla of slaws. It added texture but not much flavor. I finished with the Huckleberry River Cake, a creamy and tangy dessert with a rich berry sauce that was absolutely scrumptious. The atmosphere was relaxed. I was there on a work trip traveling solo and felt comfortable sitting at the bar. There were plenty of other guests talking and enjoying themselves, but it wasn't overly loud. Service was great both nights, and the location off the main lobby is convenient. The food was excellent, and the experience was consistently good. I would gladly eat here again.

I decided to try the ube latte with regular espresso and a pandan latte with white coffee. I got them both with oat milk. The flavors are unique, I just wish there was more ice, which I will ask for next time. I saw they had ube crepes, but when we went they didn't have it and onto had ube croffles, so I decided to try that. We also wanted to try the chicken melt crepe. I really enjoyed the croffle, it had a delicious chocolate flavor but wish it had more ube flavor as it was very faint. The chicken melt crepe was okay, but not my favorite. I feel the lemon didn't match, and it was inconsistently seasoned. Some parts were extremely salty, while others were not salted at all. It was nice to try but I'd try something else next time. Overall I would return again, but I'd try a different crepe and hoping they have ube crepes next time I visit.

Was a little apprehensive at first because the restaurant is a home (not used as one though:) ) we shared their breakfast crêpes, I bought the fruity version and she had the savory version and we just split them down the middle. These were the most delicious crêpes I've ever had. The fruit was so fresh, delicious and sweet, I hadn't had fruit like this since I last visited Florida. And their portion sizes are pretty decent too. I was able to try their lunch menu this last Wednesday and I was genuinely in awe of how delicious the whole menu was. The kaosoi soup was out of this world. It was so rich in flavor and the spice was perfect, really coconutty and a beautiful curry base. I had so much that I was able to eat it again for dinner. I ordered a cup of rice to dip into the soup. The Thai fried rice was also delicious. It has a seafood base which tasted amazing with all of the citrus and to finish off our meal we had hot ginseng tea, which I'm surprised I haven't tried sooner because I love herbal teas. It has now been added to my shopping cart because ginseng has such a full body flavor that I can't get enough of it! The way they decorated this was adorable, the owner's personality really comes out in the way they set up the place.
