Hands down the best coffee spot in Stamford. Located right on Bedford street, although small, Lorca serves up delicious Counter Culture coffee and tasty treats. I think the only place in town where you can find the single pour over coffee that I have missed so much from San Francisco. Baristas are friendly, coffee is reasonably priced and there are even a few little tables outside to sit and enjoy some coffee on a nice day and people watch. read more

Just went to your Stamford location on 7/8/21 and your associate who was closing today was totally rude and unhelpful. I placed an order online because your google hours are listed as closing at 7pm but your location closed at 4pm. I don't live in town and I sometimes drive to Stamford just to get a London fog from your location because I love it so much. your associate was super rude because he "had somewhere to be and is in a rush to get out of here" and could not even assure me that I would get a courtesy call tomorrow to confirm my order will be refunded as I won't be in town. "There's no phone here" according to him which is quite concerning and when I asked if he had a cell phone he could call me from (blocked if that was more comforting to him) to confirm My refund was processed since I apparently can't call because there's "no phone" he continued to refuse and say it will be but I won't get any confirmation. Really poor encounter and disappointed as I said I often drive to Stamford specifically to come to Lorca but likely will not return due to such an awful encounter. I have no problem disputing the charge but update your google hours for goodness sake and ask your employee to be more courtesy and solution oriented rather than being a douche because he's in a rush. read more

The ambiance is great for meetings and dates. Though it's really small it's very warm. I got a latte which was not bad, definitely not great but my friend got a pour over coffee that he was raving about all day! I would definitely suggest to try it out. Love this place! The drinks are obviously over priced but I guess that's them building their "brand". Much better coffee than Starbucks that's for sure (about the same prices). They have lots of good lunch food, and their churros with Mexican chocolate is to die for! A small cafe that gets very busy with UConn students and local businesses workers. Love this place! Their espresso, any of their tea lattes, and churros are some of the best I've had. The service is also always so nice! Coffee is good, staff is cool, they have tasty snacky things. A couple of things that bring this down from a 5 to a 3 (based on what I look for in a coffee joint): 1) Minimal seating - a couple of tables (6) that are perpetually occupied. If you want to hang out for a bit and relax, catch up with a friend or do homework then you may want to rethink coming here. 2) the two side tales and the side bar are tiny spaces so if you have a laptop and you want to work then be prepared for a tight squeeze and no room for your coffee cup 3) "No wifi on the weekends" - not sure what this rule is about but I guess it's to discourage people form hanging out. Note: If you're an Optimum cable customer and have access to their network of hotspots there is one here with a strong signal so you'll be okay. Overall it's cute but I wouldn't come here intending to hang out (or even find a seat), it'll reside squarely in my 'options for to-go coffee' list. read more

If my boyfriend and I lived in CT we would be here everyday. This is the perfect place to grab a nice cup of coffee. The atmosphere is nice, and cozy. The employees are happy and have great customer service which helps give this small coffee shop its amazing vibe. I got a caramel latte and my boyfriend got a cortado. We got a 6pc churro to share (we're churro fanatics so we were really excited regardless if it was 10am). The dipping sauce was Dulce de leche i think. I honestly don't know. We couldn't decide so I had the barista randomly pick one for me! The latte was great. The churros were fantastic. My boyfriend enjoyed his cortado as well. This place is perfect. Went in to get an espresso & some churros. Upon enteringI noticed most of the patrons were sitting on their laptops MASKLESS. I went outside to look on the door & the sign clearly stated masks required by State mandate. When I questioned the manager he replied that it was Stare mandated & couldn't really enforce if people were eating. I said look around... NO ONE WAS EATING!! They were using the space as a workplace! He shrugged & walked away. We walked away too... right out the door read more

Their Manchego Sage and Rancheros sandwiches are my favorites and tres leches latte is a must try!! Only gave 4 stars because food is amazing but one of the staff members comes off kind of rude... I regularly get the hot tres leches latte but one of the times I went, the staff member kept insisting there was no such thing as a hot tres leches latte and was kind of rude about it until the barista finally told her otherwise. read more

This my favorite coffee shop in Stamford! I would definitely opt for small shops like Lorca over a place like Starbucks any day. They have a small but quality menu of breakfast/pastry food options, as well as any milk alternative you could need for your latte. A small, cozy little coffee shop in downtown. It's extremely tiny and typically filled with the locals (unless you happen to be traveling by and are hungry, like me) The food was nice. I ordered the soup and sandwich combo. The soup of the day was kale and sausage (which honestly was better than it sounds. It was actually very good) and the sandwich was the roasted red pepper and provolone one. I would recommend the avocado toast next time. Additionally, if you ask they usually will give you something off of the breakfast sandwich menu, despite after hours. If they have it try the orange and olive cake. I've been here a few times in recent years. I love their drinks and would be a regular if I was still working in the area. My favorite is the Nutella latte; whether you get it hot or iced it tastes amazing! The shop itself is nicely set up, intimate and cozy. My only complaint is that's it's a little too cozy. The seats and tables are quite small and there isn't much space to do more than drink. Don't expect to come in here with your laptop and books and camp out like you can in a Starbucks. This is more of a pit stop. read more

This space has excellent coffee, multiple vegan baked goods to select from (matcha muffins, anyone?), and serves Rishi tea and Dona chai lattes. Lorca is a very cute coffee shop/cafe enhancing Bedford St and Stamford in general- felt very New York to me! Love the mural on one wall. The space is pretty small so I would not reccomend coming with a group. Order at the counter and grab your food there. Friend had a breakfast panini which looked delicious- at least a few options I wanted to try. Abiding by a GF diet, I had a limited choice and went with the oatmeal which was good. I was happy to stumble upon this bakery after recently learning that they donate leftover items…read morethroughout the local and extended communities. The store is clean and all breads, rolls, scones, etc are well displayed. Such a great variety to select from. The sunflower flax seed loaf was amazing. The high fiber buns were a tad crunchy with a soft interior and were delicious. The ham & cheese croissants were flaky and flavorful. Yum. The lemony blueberry scones( warmed up) were just sweet enough and bursted with flavor. The wild blueberry and raspberries custard danishes were wonderful. Service was friendly and prices are most reasonable. I also appreciate that all the nutritional information for all of their products can be found on their website. I cannot wait to return and highly recommend a stop.
