I am so pleased with the job Arturo and Lopez Tree Service did for me. I let a palm tree grow wild in my backyard to 30+ feet. Needless to say this took years! However in a few hours it was gone with the only trace left being a 4-foot stump (I asked them to leave that)! Arturo's crew left the area cleaner and neater than they found it - a rare and welcome occurrence! I couldn't be happier with the service and I would heartily recommend Lopez Tree Service to anyone in need of great, professional tree trimmers. read more

Honest. Excellent quality work. Knowledgable. Dependable. Professional. Called for an estimate for tree trimming at my house, the job consisting of 11 large eucalyptus trees, 3 large pine trees, and a few smaller trees. Arturo came over, and told me the eucalyptus trees didn't need trimming. I appreciate that honesty; I suspect that less scrupulous workers would have done the trimming rather than turn down a multi-thousand dollar addition to the job. He also was knowledgeable enough to advise that the pine trees tolerate trimming in cooler weather rather than the heat of summer when I first called him out. He gave me a written estimate for the remainder of the job. His crew showed up on time, did excellent quality work on the trees, and cleaned everything up spotless. Same type of work on the pine trees when I called him back out several months later when the weather had cooled. I highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again. read more

Excellent, top tier service! Efficient, honest and knowledgeable. Will be our arborist for life.

After clearing space between a garage and block wall in preparation for painting, a tree was discovered growing over the garage and next to power lines. Because the space had been covered with shrubs, the tree had been growing for years without notice. Lopez Tree Service did a great job removing the tree. Arturo explained the process, and his crew accomplished the task in little time with no damage to roof or surrounding neighbors' yards. The space in which the crew worked was probably no more than three feet wide. Great job! read more

We had some trees that need some TLC. Its been years since they've been pruned and they were looking pretty bad. Arturo was a pleasure to work with, he responds to both email and phone calls, the quoting process was very easy and quick. They came out with a crew of 5-6 guys and were done in just a few hours. They cleaned up the area after they were done and it looks great. Even as the owner, Arturo is out there working with his guys to give you the best possible service, he is not afraid to get his hands dirty. Without a doubt I would use Lopez Tree Service in the future and I will recommend them to all my friends. read more

Arturo Lopez of Lopez Tree service (WWW.LOPEZTREEEXPERTS.COM) did a great job on time and on budget. His did exceptional work with some very, very tall palms and trimmed all the trees under a tight deadline I had. Very professional, always available by phone to answer any question or explain more detail on how best to do the job. Very competitive prices and ample insurance coverage. I will use him again. read more

Pretty good. Good price (negotiated). Did a great job trimming my tree. Arturo is an arborist, so will tell you straight up what needs to be done. Bit messy on the clean up though. read more

Having worked with other tree trimming services before, I am glad that I have finally found the "one." I had the pleasure of working with Arturo Jr., who can only be described as professional, courteous, and reliable. He worked with my schedule and was able to come after work on Monday to give me a quote. Four days later he's at my house diligently working on what I consider a large project (several trees, couple of large bushes, and hauling it all away, of course). To describe the service: perfect. I had an image in my mind of what my house would look like after the work; but the reality of it all looked far better than I imagined. I would recommend his work to any project, large or small, because you can rest assured knowing that the job will be done right. My family and I will forever be loyal customers of Lopez Tree Service. Cheers! read more

In short: I'll definitely use them again. Arturo was professional, helpful and punctual. He stayed on site to ensure the job--in this case, trimming three overgrown trees in my backyard--was done well from set-up to clean-up. read more

Lopez Tree Service has completed three jobs at my home. I was so impressed with the first job I called them back. Each time I was even more impressed with their knowledge about trimming trees based on the type of tree being serviced. They were professional and efficient. read more

Worked with Arturo Lopez and his crew to remove a decaying tree from the property. He and his crew arrived on time, took the tree down safely and without incident, and cleaned up thoroughly. Arturo worked alongside his crew, and all the guys were pleasant - nice! Oh, and they were the most competitive price. I would absolutely recommend Lopez Tree and will use again if ever the need arises. read more

I was sad to see my Chinese Elm go but happy I choose Lopez Tree Service. They were the lowest of the three estimates I received and were able to do the work before the others. The clean-up was impeccable. You would have never known that a tree was removed. I will use them for tree trimming in the future. read more

Called Lopez tree service and Arturo come out the same day to give an estimate. I was happy with the estimate and very happy with the results. Will use Lopez tree service again. read more

This is my first experience with Lopez Tree Service and I will be a repeat customer. Arturo was extremely professional, prompt, and personable. He and his crew did a fantastic job. Arturo came out in the morning to give an estimate and was able to return that same afternoon to complete the job. I would definitely recommend this service. read more

Arturo was professional, knowledgable and consultative to my situation, reliable and easy to communicate with. His knowledge was apparent as we talked through the proposal phase. The work was completed correctly, on a timely basis and all debris was removed. I will use Arturo and his firm again. read more

Can't say enough good things about Auturo and his crew. I had a large 60 Years+ Maple tree in the front yard that had become diseased and had large animal burrows in the "Y" of the tree and needed to be removed before becoming a danger. His crew came early in the morning and finished the job quickly and efficiently and cleaned up the yard so well you'd never know a large tree was removed and the stump grinded. I recommend Lopez Tree Service to anyone who wants a competent, very competitive and professional job done. A-1 Service in all respects. read more

Arturo was great, very upfront with the estimate, and his crew were very efficient. They showed up first thing in the morning and had a very difficult tree in our yard cut down before noon. And I mean a very difficult tree. Arturo showed me two chainsaw chains his crew went through trying to cut it down. But they did get it cut down, and we really appreciated them working hard on it. Would recommend their services to anyone, for sure. Seems like a very straightforward operation they run. read more

To me the most important point is that they do a beautiful job of trimming the trees! The prices are excellent. They show up on time and are polite and easy to work with. I have worked with other tree trimmers and the most pleasant tree trimming experience I have ever had is working with Arturo and his crew. read more

Not professional and does not value a customer's loyalty. Having used Lopez Tree Service for 2 years I thought I had found my tree company. I was terribly mistaken. Arturo is very hard to reach. After playing phone tag for several days, he finally came by to give an estimate over 2 weeks after the initial phone call. He promised to do the work on a Saturday and never came through. He did not answer emails or return phone calls. I wasted 2 1/2 months waiting for him to cut my trees. In getting new bids from other companies with certified arborists, I realized he had been trimming my trees poorly for the last couple of years. I went with another new tree service this year and my trees look more natural and not severely cut. read more

After reading all the good reviews. I thought this company was a good decision for the trees that needed to be disposed of. I made a appointment for 2pm after high winds the day before. 2 pm comes and no call. Not even a im late call. Called 30 mins later and no answer. Think all the reviews are from fake or people that were asked to put a good review up. read more

I called up Lopez Tree service and made an appointment with Arturo to give me a bid on trimming some trees on my property. He was easy and pleasant to speak with an seemed knowledgeable. We met and I showed him the work I had in mind. He gave me his recommendations on how to achieve what I was looking for and said he would email me a written proposal specifying the cost. About a week passed and I received nothing. I then called and spoke with him. Thinking that he may have an incorrect email address for me, he asked that I text him my email address. I did. I still received nothing. About a week or so later I called and left a message letting him know that I received no proposal. To this day, no reply. read more

I just read all the great reviews and yes he is very professional but the work was done not to my request and was told it could not be done that way but he sure request his payment in not a professional way and got what he wanted, I won't be asking Lopez Tree Service for any bids. read more

I thought I could wait to get my very tall Queen palm trimmed again, but it started dropping seed pods and other debris. So I checked out Yelp, called Mr. Lopez, and that solved my problem! He gave me the quickest estimate at a fair price and had the work performed the next day! I will definitely recommend him to my friends! He's a very nice, professional man, and his crew did a great job! read more

I would NEVER hire this company again. Not trustworthy at all. Worth doing additional research before hiring people that will be at your home. read more

I needed to hava a 70 year old Maple removed from my front lawn as well as removing 2 city trees in front of my home. They contacted the City of LA and discovered that I could not remove the trees so I got a permit to trim the trees. They knew the rules governing trimming the city trees in front of my house and they did a great job removing the Maple. read more

SHOUT OUT for Lopez Tree Service. We intend to make things easier on the trees during this drought season this year, by putting down natural leaf and tree mulch. Besides retaining water, natural tree mulch suppresses weeds and feeds the earth (plant food!). Arturo dropped a generous 16 feet of beautiful leaf and tree mulch this morning. (We definitely have our work cut out for us.) THANKS FOR BEING A GOOD NEIGHBOR ARTURO! read more

They just did a big job for me, cleaning up some storm damage. They removed three trees, one of which also needed the stump removed. They also trimmed a couple more trees. There prices were reasonable (so much so, that another arborist looked at my job and said it was too big for him. I told him what Arturo had quoted and he said "take it, that is a great price") Because of all the work after the storm, and because he needed a certain piece of equipment, it took a few weeks before he could start the job, but he stayed in touch. They showed up when the promised, and did a wonderful clean up job. Thank you! read more

Research this company and very glad I choose them to cut down a tree this week. Very professional and timely performed the work. I left it open for when they could come and cut the tree down in front yard with direct street access. That worked great as they were able to work it in this week instead of in two months like another popular Pasadena tree service company. The price was very reasonable. I definitely recommend Lopez Tree Service and I will use them again in the future. read more

Great service, clean up and communication. Extremely professional and nice crew. Will definitely use again. We used them for routine tree trimming and removal of a larger tree and smaller tree. read more

When I purchased my home in Pasadena it came with 2 Oak trees and a Deodar. The trees had been ignored for 20 years. There was dead wood and one had dried Ivy branches through out. I quoted others but Lopez had the best price. Arturo and his dad explained what needed to be done now and in the future to maintain healthy trees. Now that the work is completed (I'm very happy with the results) I have chose Lopez Tree Service to be my arborist of choice going forward. read more

I have just bought a house and am in need of some tree trimming service and I found Lopez Trees on yelp and saw his reviews and decided to call to make an apt. i called last thursday, played phone tag with Jose (not sure that is his name actually) he was very polite and nice, i asked if he had time to stop by saturday, which was 11/01/14, he said he was busy however he was going to double check and call me back Saturday to confirm whether he could make it or not, he never did call me back or since. I find very unprofessional that i have not gotten a call since we last spoke. this is review is just in regards to the appointment, not the service which i cannot speak about. read more

I used Lopez Tree Service several years ago to cut down my Chinese Elm in the front and also to trim my two pittosporum trees in the back. He is an arborist and knows his stuff (I didn't even know what kind of trees they were before he told me). His guys know exactly how to trim a tree, he even explained everything to me about how to do it for the health of the tree, but I don't remember the details. I just called him again to cut down my palm in the back and asked him if I could keep the mulch. He told me palms don't make good mulch, but that he would drop off a load of mulch for free in my driveway!!! They do incredible work, and he always gives a fair price. They cleaned up everything both times. I'm really grateful to have someone I know who is very good at what they do and always fair with the price. I don't have to ever look anywhere else for tree service. read more

I chose Lopez Tree Service because of the great reviews on Yelp and wasn't disappointed. Arturo is really serious about customer service and that really counts! He returned my phone call within an hour, came out for to give me an estimate, and did the work beautifully a few days later. I'm totally happy and would highly recommend him. read more

Emailed at 1pm for possiblilities of free mulch. Email was returned in 10 minutes by Arturo. 4 hours later two dump trucks full of beautiful free mulch arrived in my drive way. Absolutely amazing, as was the crew that arrived. So happy after trying unsuccesfully for weeks for afordable mulch. This company beats all my expectations, tomorrow will be so much fun in the garden. read more

Arturo was very responsive and I found him to be honest with him not recommending work that would have made him more $. He communicated clearly, responded to all questions, and showed up when he said he would. He serviced two trees the same week the quote was requested and perfomed exactly what he communicated. I had orginally called for tree service because it had been too long and I was concerned about branches and the roof. Arturo cleaned up the trees at a very fair price and eliminated my tree worries. I would highly recommend him. read more

I hired Lopez Tree Service to trim 5 large overgrown trees and remove 5. Arturo Lopez walked through my yard to evaluate the job, provided a competitive quote, and did a fantastic job timing and reshaping my trees. Tree removal was well done. I plan to bring Arturo back in about 18 months to keep the trees in good shape. Arturo was great to work with and stands behind his work. He keeps his promises and cares about "a job well done". I highly recommend Lopez Tree Service. read more

The Lopez team is outstanding. They provided excellent service, trimming multiple large trees and hedges on our property. Arturo Jr. handled the quote and scheduling, while Arturo Sr. managed the actual trimming job and contributed his professional arborist expertise to yield a superb result along with their experienced and courteous team. They are much more reasonably priced than the larger services we have used in the past, with at least as good performance - - - make that better! They are simply the best. read more
