I have been a waiter and restaurant manager for majority of my working life and I keep giving this place a chance because: 1. I love pizza 2. I live in Lockhart 3. I support local But holy hell - either I'm in the wrong place at the wrong time every time I opt to eat here or there's a hex against my family because the last 7 times I've either dined in, carried out or ordered thru Favor has had me wondering why I keep spending money here. I've been continuously charged for things I never received, sat waiting for my carryout order while I could literally see it behind the counter getting cold, and waited almost two hours for food on an extremely slow night. Most recently, I ordered a specialty chicken pizza and nothing else for delivery, which came out to $40, and it arrived almost two hours later with no chicken on it. I'm just really hungry and having worked in restaurants all my life, I'm obviously understanding when things happen, I always tip phat and I keep giving this place a chance, only to be blowing cash for a bad experience 8 out of 10 times. I've never given a Yelp review before, but damn y'all, something ain't right. Currently thinking about opening a pizza place in Lockhart right about now. read more

Loop & Lil's is not your average pizza spot. However, if you enjoy a more fancy type of pizza, this is a great place to go. We do enjoy their salads, and hubby and I do enjoy their pizza. Our kiddo, not so much. Kiddos can be picky tho! The service is hit or miss. We have experienced decent service, and we have also experienced not the best of service. I will also say that the inside can be quite noisy, so be aware of that. Not that it's a bad thing, but I understand some don't want the "loudness" while out dining. Quite honestly, the only thing that I think could improve would be the service. More attentiveness to the guests with refills, and bringing the check. And also the amount of time to have ones order taken. Seems maybe there are regulars in there all the time and have noticed workers talking away while guests are waiting for their orders to be taken, drinks to be refilled, and food to be brought out. The city had a fireworks show this evening for the holiday. What better thing to grab to eat after fireworks than pizza!!! We stopped at this local place to have a few slices. The bartenders and most of the waitresses were friendly and all smiles. They have a nice sized bar and plenty of seating. The pizza itself was also very good. The crust was crispy and the toppings tasted great. They don't put a lot of sauce in the pizza. That's my only knock on it. Overall I'd give the slices a 6.4 out of 10. Loop N Lil's Pizza, Bad Experience in Front of the Children Last week, James (4-year-old son) and I went to Loop N' Lils pizza in Lockhart and had an excellent time. Excellent service. Excellent food. Tonight, I took Helena (10) and James (4) to Loop N' Lil's. After maybe 7 minutes, I looked up to see if someone might take our order. I see a manager, Felicia (spelling?) walk out of a door carrying a bucket looking angry. She slammed down the bucket. In front of my children, she told me we had to leave and I was no longer welcome there. She said the last time I was there, I stuck a camera in her face. You had one simple job. It's supposed to be your specialty. Pizza is literally in your name. We ordered The Mary Margaret, to go. Your menu says it includes basil, fresh mozzarella, roma tomatoes, olive oil and Italian herbs (the rest of the world will recognize this as a "margherita" pizza). We ordered this in store, so there's was no phone or internet error for you to blame. We patiently waited 45 minutes for the pizza. Yes, we probably should have checked it before we left, but we weren't clued in that you were incapable of making a very simple, classic pizza. Note the photo. No basil, no Italian spices. On a weekend trip to Lockhart, I stopped by Loop & Lil's Pizza for a late dinner on a Saturday night. While Lockhart considers themselves the BBQ capital of Texas, they have a great dining scene overall. Loop & Lil's is one of the most popular restaurants in town located in the historic downtown area. While they have some bar seating and a few tables on their front patio, I opted to sit at a booth. I first took a look at their interesting cocktail menu and ordered a concoction to start out with. From there, I looked over the food menu which has a lot of interesting specialty pizzas. With that being said, I was in the mood for a pepperoni pizza so that's what I went with. While the pizzas aren't cheap, they're large. I ate four out of the eight slices and I was full. Plenty of leftovers! The pizza was great too. It had just the right amount of grease, my kind of pizza. Service was friendly. If you're looking for some good food in Lockhart outside of the 'cue, this spot should be toward the top of your list. read more

This place is very fortunate that there aren't other pizza places in Lockhart because this place would struggle for their own reasons. The food aka the pizza is either good or really bad,overall food is hit or miss and not consistent. Service is okay at times but when it's not good it's bad. The thing that makes this place so desirable is one the bar and two the atmosphere for the overall restaurant. Only complaint I have is how vocal the owner is about his political views and if you aren't on his side in that conversation depending on the topic he'll kick you out for talking about right leaning political views. Service was slow, printer broke so took over 45mins for garlic bread. Which came out at the same time as the pizza. Alfredo sauce had no flavor and was the consistency of glue. My mom and I stopped here for lunch and it was a delightful surprise! We ordered a whole Old Orchard Salad and the Paul & Me Sandwich. The salad was much bigger than expected! We will both be able to eat salad twice, so even if you're sharing, maybe consider a half. On to the sandwich....this may be the best bread I've had in a long time! The whole sandwich was perfect, but the bread makes it! Just the right amount crunchy exterior and soft baked interior. The meatballs are flavorful, just know you want be a garlic lover if you're eating them. Finally a perfect amount of sauce to keep the flavor profile while not being too saucy. We shared both things and feel just happily full. Service was also great. It was quick and everyone we interacted with was friendly and appeared to want to be there. In the heart of the little town of Lockhart, there is a gourmet pizza parlour whose menu includes specialty pizzas, customizable build-your-own pizzas, calzones, sandwiches, stromboli, salad and several rotating Texas beers on tap. It's a quaint little place, one you wouldn't expect to find in a town that size. The service is always good at Loop & Lil's, and so are the pizzas. I visited this little pizza place at least half a dozen times already since moving south of Austin and every pizza we ordered was always great, whether we built it ourselves or chose from the existing menu. The ingredients are always fresh, the wait is very reasonable, and the staff is always friendly. I read some reviews mentioning the pizzas being greasy, but I never personally had that experience. Perhaps some ingredients are more likely to produce such results? We go heavy on the cheese and veggies, but avoid the meat. That might be a factor at play. Loop & Lil's calls itself the "best slice in town" - in my opinion, they're one of the best slices in the Austin metropolitan area, among my top 5 favorite pizza parlours in Texas. Loop & Lil's Pizza 107 N Main St Kyle, TX 78640 Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the service my family and I received at your restaurant on 5-23-24. Our party of 22 was not only refused seating but also treated with a lack of consideration that was both disappointing and unacceptable. Upon arrival, we were informed by both the manager and the hostess that we would not be seated. When we inquired about waiting for a table, this option was also denied without any explanation. Despite our request for the manager to reach out to the owner to verify this policy, we were met with refusal. We found it difficult to understand why, in a situation where there were nine empty tables and no other waiting patrons, our party could not be accommodated. Furthermore, while attempting to find an alternative dining option, we observed six other families leaving the restaurant, because they concluded their meal.This indicates a significant loss of business, which seems counterintuitive for any establishment, especially when there is ample seating available. When I insisted on speaking with someone in charge, the manager, Claudia, reiterated that turning away business is your standard practice. This response was both baffling and disheartening, particularly in an industry that thrives on customer satisfaction and patronage. This experience has left a negative impression, not only on my family but also on our extended network of friends and acquaintances. I am deeply disappointed that a restaurant of your reputation would exhibit such disregard for its customers. I understand that you were not available because you were out celebrating a graduation. I hope you had a wonderful time. It was our night to celebrate our two graduates and they chose your establishments only to be treated as such I hope you take this feedback seriously and review your policies and customer service practices. I'm a loop and Lil's devotee. Everyone from Tara at the bar to the awesome wait staff makes you feel welcome. We get the Save the Brock pizza almost every time we go. We went to a show next door and popped in to get one piece of every dessert on the menu. The salads are delicious. Their pizzas are 16 inch hand tossed with a good selection. I got a half and half of Smokehouse and Brock and they were both delicious. The Smokehouse BBQ flavor combination was unique but blended very well. The brick was your basic manly meat pizza but nothing basic about the flavor. This place used to be a favorite go to for my friends and family. However it has really gone downhill. The ambiance is great but the service had become horrid. I will not go back. Here is my personal experience. You judge. The kitchen staff were yelling at each other so loudly we could hear them at the front of the restaurant, the entire other end of the building 100 feet away! They were yelling "who prepped this sh!t" and various other negative things about the food that involved more cuss words. Our wait was quite long at this point. I had to go to the bathroom and one has to pass the kitchen to use the facilities. As I returned to my table I stopped in the hallway next to the 8 foot wide opening to look in the kitchen , mind you I was at no time inside the doorway, where the yelling was going on. Lots of cuss words going back and forth between the staff. A waitress came to the back. She stood in front of me. Stomped her foot, and regally pointed to the seating area and said you need to go sit down. I said I'm curious what the problem is. (I was Not on the threshold nor was I in the kitchen). I again asked "what happened to make things sh!itty like that guy was yelling" as I indicated the most vocal of the kitchen staff, the guy who was wielding the big paddle. She shook her head and wiggled her hand as it was pointing towards the tables and said loudly "you aren't allowed in the kitchen". She also started making a really sour face at me with her lips made small and her lower chin jutting out. All the while holding her arm out and shaking her finger down the hallway and breathing rapidly. It would have been comical if she were three years old. But this was a grown woman. (Now I was pissed at this point. I didn't want to eat food staff was calling shitty. I wanted to know why it was shitty, had it been on the floor, or not refrigerated? Or were the kitchen staff just mad at each other?) So, at this point I looked all around the doorway frame and then at the floor slowly. Then at her, I copied her in a way, but I pointed slowly around the door jam, then pointed at the floor and wiggled my finger at the threshold and said, I'm NOT IN the kitchen, but I AM curious about why the food I'm about to eat is shitty. Can you tell me? I'm not sure I want to eat it. At that point she turned red and started shaking. So I said, not yelled just spoke clearly and calmly, "cancel our order" and walked to my table. They saw how angry I was . I told my table, we are leaving "NOW!" And without questioning me , my whole group walked out. Never been back. Won't go back, We used to eat there once very two weeks. I won't eat food the staff themselves considers sh!tty. And if it wasn't actually sh!tty. The staff certainly is. From the kitchen crew to the waitress. They have HUGE problems there. Constantly bad attitudes reflect on management. I know as I been an employee and a manager in good work places and bad. That place needs a top down overhaul. read more

Our fav. pizza is the save the brock, and their salads are always well worth a try. I have honestly never had anything bad here. Wait staff has always been super helpful! the only time they weren't, the waitress forbid me to leave a tip which I felt bad because I knew they were slammed.
