We have a No Soliciting sign that is hard to miss and we've been bothered by two different sales people. Both acknowledged that they saw the sign yet still chose to interrupt our busy day. This is rude, inconsiderate, and illegal. I almost wonder if they are being coached to ignore these signs (?). Either way, we have the incidents recorded and will report them to the City and County if it happens again. If we ever do decide to have dairy delivery, it most certainly will not be with Longmont Dairy. read more

Even though I have the perfect photo to attach to this review, I'll spare you... We unfortunately left our milk out in the cooler for well over 5 days not remembering that we ordered. When we finally realized our mistake let's just say the aftermath was horrifying in every way. Apparently we aren't the first to do this - and please know longmont dairy WILL come and pick up your cooler and whisk it away to handle no questions asked and won't shame you in the process. I unfortunately didn't know this and duct taped it shut and put it out for the trash man. Next time I'll know - but praying there isn't a next time and this is a PSA for anyone else as forgetful as us! read more

They hand deliver the items in a cooler with ice. Their app is also very user friendly and it sends reminders on your next delivery in case you want to skip service or change/edit your items. Discovered Longmont dairy and their delivery service because a young man had come to my door with samples of their milk, then let me have a small bottle for free. After that I couldn't stop thinking about how good the milk was (especially the strawberry). It took a year or so but then we finally signed up. One thing I love is that they wash and re-use the bottles so just like in the old days of the milk man, you set the bottles out and they put out new ones and take the used ones to be cleaned and re-used. So much better for the environment! And although the bottles sometimes are scraped up on the outside I've never had any issues with anything being unclean so they're sanitized very well! They have so many other things other than milk like bread, lemonade, cold brew coffee, coffee creamer, and meal kits. They even carry a few things you could get at the store like cheeses and sour cream! They do have a 3 item requirement for delivery, but it's understandable considering driving all over to deliver single items probably wouldn't be cost effective. Their cold brew has completely changed my mornings and I definitely can't see myself going back to store-bought milk ever again! read more

I signed up for service with Longmont Dairy when I moved into my home a few years ago. I like to make my own yogurt, and they are the one home delivery service with milk that is NOT ultra-pasteurized, which makes it better for yogurt making. (It is pasteurized, though--that's a good thing.) I love weekly dairy delivery. It's convenient, and it reduces a lot of waste by coming in reusable glass bottles. It's more expensive than the grocery store, but I am glad to pay for the quality, convenience, and lack of plastic jugs. We occasionally get chocolate milk, root beer milk, lemonade, or specialty cheeses from Haystack Mountain as a treat. The New Orleans cold brew is really good! We also buy cream or butter or other items as needed for the convenience of delivery. During the early days of the pandemic and the shutdown, they continued as an essential service and I was so glad I was already a customer. It was nice to have a reliable source of milk and cheese. We were able to get eggs occasionally, too, though they had a big increase in demand some things had limited availability. When there was an issue with our standard order, they called me to offer an alternate product. Great product, great customer service. read more

Once every week, my family gets to wake up to a delivery of fresh milk, cream and other goodies straight from Longmont Dairy Farm. Our coffee tastes just a bit better with that fresh cream. The cream can also be made into homemade butter and buttermilk that can't be rivaled by anything found in grocery stores. Dairy drinks and our orange juice comes in glass bottles, which are picked up the following week and presumably reused. Not only do we get to support a Colorado farm, we also get to reduce the amount of waste that goes into our landfills. No more plastic jugs or waxy milk cartons for us! We're also grateful that we've been getting some eggs from Longmont Farms, especially since those can be hard to come by in these times. We have been using Longmont Dairy farm for more than 10 years. We usually use it for milk and cream but they also deliver a few other products like eggs, yogurt, .. Their milk products are high quality and comes in glass bottles. I really like that they don't use plastic. They deliver once a week. You select your standing weekly order online. This is what comes in your milk box every week by default. But you can conveniently adjust the order online if you want to add or remove items. You can also put the delivery on hold if you are out of town. I wish they were certified organic. This is why I am rating 4 stars and not 5 stars. But we decided to support local products over non local organic products. I strongly recommend Longmont dairy farm. read more

We started getting their products every week seven years ago, and have been consistently happy with the products. The regular milk is high quality, as are their flavored milks. I love chocolate, and my daughter asks for the strawberry milk for every special occasion. Their orange juice, lemonade and raspberry lemonades are delicious too! We just had a ring at the door and, there was a Longmont sales rep. Nice guy, not pushy, offered to give us a sample of their milk to see if we're interested in having a delivery service set up. I had a couple minutes, so why not! He brought out a few favorites; egg nog (really good!), vanilla protein milk (tasty, reminded me of Carnation Instant when I was a kid), chocolate milk (smooth chocolate for sure) and whole milk. Overall, quite good and you can tell the difference in the freshness, comparing it to the grocery store options. Be warned though, LOTS of sugar in all the flavored items, which we try to avoid. My 2 teens though, loved and drank all the protein and chocolate milk! We opted to go for a delivery order, grab a couple freebies and give it a try. Price wise, milk is the same as our usual Organic from Costco, so didn't hit the wallet badly. The rest of the items, though mostly quality choices, will be a bit pricey compared to a Costco run, but better than the grocery store down the street. So far, good product, nice rep and very easy ordering process. Don't know if we'll stay with them, as nothing is listed as organic or non GMO and we do our best to buy that way. But nice to work with a local farm and have a bit of fresh milk dropped at the door! read more

Be advised: Most of the time, things go well, but when they don't you should know that this company has one of the rudest, least helpful customer service departments out there. The way they speak to their customers is absolutely unreal in this day and age and in the market that this business is serving - So hope for the best, and don't expect anyone will be helpful you if anything goes wrong with your delivery or your billing. You will be told that your problem is your fault, or that you are lying; sometimes both of those things. I've been a customer of Longmont Dairy for several years, but that's all coming to an end this month. For a long time, everything was great, deliveries came on time and statements were error-free - we had no problems at all. Then we moved and our route changed and things weren't as perfect. Didn't get a delivery? Be prepared to be told you canceled service that day, even when you didn't... Don't expect to actually have a delivery made the next day, or your order to be fulfilled, and certainly don't expect any logical reasoning - like, obviously, you wouldn't be calling them about your missing items if you'd actually skipped service on that date right? When said undelivered items show up on your invoice weeks later, be prepared to be told you actually did get your delivery and that you are simply a liar trying to get free stuff. Remind them you spoke to someone on the phone and they told you that it wasn't delivered at all because you'd canceled it, and get called a liar again. Good times. Left a message on voicemail and didn't get a response? Be prepared to be called a liar (and told you didn't leave a message) when you call back a couple of days later to follow up - "We always respond to all of our messages the same day, you didn't leave one." Don't expect an apology or any kind of good faith resolution, because it isn't in their repertoire. They dig in when they are wrong, and hold on tight. Business must be terrific at Longmont Dairy because they have customers to spare. There are plenty of sources for quality fresh dairy. I think to shop at Whole Foods from now on - it's just as fresh, has a better price point, and comes without the nasty so-called "customer service" representative experience. --------------------------- ETA: Clearly a cultural issue "We do not have a public voicemail for our customers to leave messages, so we wouldn't have received anything in that regard" ... apparently, I'm still lying about that. Unbelievable... Thanks for the affirmation that I've made the right choice - that took the rating from 2 stars to 1 and undid any nostalgic goodwill I had left. Perhaps you should call your own business number some time and see where you call ends up from your customers POV when it is not answered instead of digging in deeper. read more
