After having my first day off in a while, I decided to get some stuff done. I've been wanting to try out eyelash extensions for the longest time but finally stumbled upon this little gem. I called around 11am to see if I could get in today and they immediately took me in as I was driving over. When you first get there, it's a little tricky. It's located in an Asian shopping center. Parking is a little tricky but I didn't have any problems. I saw a sign for Longmi Lashes, warning, if you see it on the second floor, that's not where you go for your appointment. That's where Daniel holds his classes. I made that mistake and ran into the owner himself. Such a sweetheart and eagerly gave me the right directions to the office space he has. If you look around the shopping plaza, there's a boba place in the front, right next door is where you go! As I walked over, I was greeted by Lauren who was waiting for me. Allowed me to use the restroom and told me to wet my lashes. She worked wonders on my lashes. Let me tell you! I went for a Classic look, but she made them slightly fuller and let me tell you, it was amazing. I fell asleep for the hour and I woke up looking like a new woman! Pricing of my set was $120 & I don't regret any bit of it. Totally worth it. She did an amazing job and I will most definitely be back for my next fill. read more

Dishonesty!!! Misleading!!! They gave my husband the run around leading him to think we would get an exchange--let alone a refund. In the end they said they can't do anything because we didn't purchase from them. They told us to go to where we purchased it, so we did! But the guy we purchased the glue (Beauty Zone Supply) says they're not responsible because they didn't make the glue and the company (Daniel Phu) is responsible for refunds and exchanges. Either way, both parties refused to give us an exchange for a newer bottle with a valid receipt! Their eyelash glue claimed to stay on 3-4 weeks. But my clients came back 2 to 3 days later saying the lashes fall rapidly. So I thought of having my technician do a set of eyelashes on me using their glue. And no sweat, within a few days I saw false lashes on my face! We never had that happened before using our other brand of glue done by the same technician. Daniel Phu eyelash adhesive was $95 not including tax. We didn't want a refund, we just wanted an exchange because we believe we got a bad bottle. But, regardless these people did not care for our frustration and just brushed it off like it was none of their business!!! Well FYI, it is their business because the guy's name is marketed and if they don't care about their customers then their business will go down hill soon! They may have used the best glue on the celebrities, but who knows if the glues they sell for customers are adequate! In the end, $95+ are flushed down the drain. read more

Just visited Sophia. I have searched for many places to do my lashes and in some way or another have found something wrong that made me unhappy for two weeks until I got them redone. I decided to try this place out because 1, they have so many locations so they must be doing something right, and 2, I was recommended to come here by another person who got their lashes done. I was all ready to be disappointed and was pleasantly surprised as I left today. I had a full set with volume done and I love them! They are even, long and she did exactly what I asked her to do. She was meticulous and detailed. When you walk in it's not some glamorous lobby, although there are pictures of Daniel the owner with celebrities along the wall to occupy your time. And they do take you to a single room without a lot of decorations, but that's not why you go to a lash artist right? You won't be disappointed! I highly recommend you come here. I purchased a starter kit from this company in April at a hair show. Today I finally had a chance to use this kit for the first time and I noticed the entire adhesive glue bottle had dried up. I called the company and told them the glue has a expiration date of 11-2014. Basically, the customer service department refused to send me a replacement bottle and claimed they told buyers that the glue is only good for 6 months on new or opened bottle. Even though the bottle was still within the 6 month period, they still don't have the decency to replace the glue or refund my money. This was a huge disappointment as I spent $126 for the kit and I can't even use it because I don't have the proper glue. I am disgusted how they handled this situation. Sham on your company!!!! Long Mi Lashes carries loose single lashes, tray single lashes, V lashes and volume lashes in many different lengths, thicknesses and curvatures. With so many thicknesses to choose from, ranging from .07, .10, .12, .15, .18, .20 etc., I am able to create different looks for all my clients and their aesthetic tastes. I especially like the Vita Primer which helps clean and dissolve mascara, oily residues from lashes and are able to make the lashes attach for much longer. Long Mi glue is another one of my favorite products. I like this glue because it dries very fast, which helps prevent the lashes from clumping together. Using proper application techniques, the lashes will last for a very long time. How long the lashes stay on greatly depends on the technician's techniques and how well clients take care of their lashes on a daily basis. Because the glue dries very fast, it is important that the technician takes good care of the glue after each use. The tip must be wiped clean before placing the cap back onto the glue bottle. To prevent the glue from drying out prematurely, proper storage protocol must be followed. (Hot temperature should be avoided.) The glue must be kept in a refrigerator in between long uses. In order for the glue to last up to its maximum expiration date, it is imperative that the glue must be kept in a cool place or else it may dry out prematurely. Many factors can affect the quality and longevity of the glue. Manufacturing expiration date is only suggestive. Longevity of the glue is depended on you. I got the Groupon here and I went with my coworker. We wanted two people at once so making an appointment was not as smooth as probably just for one person, but it was still easy. The staff is extremely sweet and friendly so I'm not sure what the comments are about people being rude. I had my lashes done by Hien and my coworker by Mai. Hien was really very thorough since it was my first time getting extensions and asked me questions I never even considered about my eyelashes such as length, curl, etc... She took the time to apply and show me an example of what she meant. She made sure I was comfortable the entire time and was extremely sweet. Overall the process took about 2 hours. She gave me detailed instructions about the care and was given a take-home sheet of the care. We even got bottled water! Overall I would really recommend getting your lashes done here. I stumbled upon this gem on "accident," I believe it was more fate than anything. I had a previous appointment in a beauty salon to get my eyelashes done, that was already sketchy to be quite honest, but the technician pushed my appointment down for 15 mins because she was running late. While waiting, I see a grand opening sign, I go in the spa and immediately am greeted by a warm friendly lady called Gemma. As I was discussing why I was in lake forest when I live in Tustin, she recommends me to actually give them a try. A bit hesitant given the fact that I already had a previous appointment I decided to give Longmi a chance. BEST decision I've made. Two stars because I do like there products especially the quality of the eyelashes. But it's not consistent, because sometimes you get a bad batch n you can't return them. Bad batch is when the eyelashes is too sticky to the pad where it's hard to remove the hair n the sticky adhesive comes off with it. Also when the hair is stuck to several lashes so it's hard to pick one lash at a time. Also there sizes seem is inconsistent, size 10 looks like size 9, size 11 look like size 10. 15 c+ turns out to be 15 c. So on n so on. When they had there anniversary sale I placed a big order on the gel pads. Instead of giving me the new better quality patent gel pads for the eyes, they sold me there old batch before letting me know. I had to return it the following day n there explanation is that they have so much orders that they had to get rid of the old pads. Yes I was able to exchange it for the new ones, but it's pretty bad business to not informing the customers what your getting. I rather pay regular price for what I want n been use to getting. You shouldn't use your anniversary promo sale to get rid of your old inventory. By the way do place your order on line, since they won't let you place your order at the store for same day pick up. Another embarrassing moment that I had encounter is Daniel yelling at his employee n telling her she was stupid in front of me. Oh my that was pretty awkward n rude. I do not recommend this place to anyone. They removed my previous lashes replaced them with next to nothing lashes.
