Excellent old school style DIY apple picking that doesn't try and nickel and dime you on every gosh darn thing. Sure, there was no little farm stand with pies and snacks when I went and I was a bit disappointed at that, but it had everything else I needed -- apple pickers, wagons and wooden tubs and a whole lot of apples! We went kinda late in the season but there was still plenty to choose from. Not too crowded and ever charming. They also have a hayride that takes you to an even more remote corn maze and then drives through a whole pumpkin patch. It was cheap and fun and reminded me of childhood, isn't that the point? Would definitely come back here next season!

    So delicious!

We look forward to apple picking every year, so I have lots of experience. There is NONE better than Longmeadow Farm. The selection, prices, and staff are awesome. (I'm writing this review between bites of a delicious, just-picked apple.) Longmeadow brings out the best in everyone -- and I do mean everyone, because they have quite a diverse group of apple aficionados -- seems to be enjoying themselves and the wonderful surrounding.

Cute apple picking! My daughter loved using the complimentary wagon and bucket. They sell jams and spreads as well. We picked 12 apples for $10. Appears to be cash only. Lots of mud after rain so wear waterproof boots!

I came the second week of September for apple and raspberry picking. Rows are well labeled for the apple varieties and prices are good!

It was such a beautiful night, my parents and I came and we each got our own pizza. Pizza came out in maybe 15 minutes, we sat and waited and just chilled. It was a beautiful night. I am so appreciative that Windy Brow has a vegan cheese option, so I could be included! I got the Margherita pizza and subbed vegan cheese. The crust and dough were incredible - so fluffy, perfectly crispy, amazing thick crust. The vegan cheese was also great, and the sauce too. Just a perfect pizza. My dad got a regular Margherita and loved it, and my mom got the fungi pizza with mushrooms and was raving about it. My boyfriend got the pig and fig and (of course) loved it as well. We all raved to each other about how amazing everything was. For a farm to do something like this when they don't need to, shows that they love what they do! You can really feel the love in the pizza. We then got ice cream after since the ice cream stand was still open. I got the vegan dark chocolate sea salt (literally incredible, perfect consistency, I love hard ice cream so this was amazing), my boyfriend got Madagascar vanilla and said it was a perfect classic vanilla, my dad said the cherry vanilla was the best he's ever had, and my mom who doesn't love ice cream got the lemon blueberry butter cake and was raving about it. Phenomenal job!!!!! So appreciative to live near a spot like this. Blessings!

This is a pick your own vegetable farm and orchard located in Blairstown, NJ. It's a ride to get…read morethere but once your there the area is really nice......beautiful country and very quiet. The farm itself is basically just a barn with a small store and fields of pick your own produce. In season now we're peaches, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, beans, and blueberries. The peach orchard was especially nice and had plenty of perfect fruit to pick. The apples were not in season yet and I'm sure this farm is a lot busier in the fall with apples and pumpkins to pick. We did smell the apple cider donuts baking and they smelled great (we bought a bag and they were VERY good). The prices were very reasonable and I spent under $30 for a lot of fruits/vegetables. The girl at the register was helpful and pointed us in the direction we needed to go. Be prepared to get your exercise as it is spread out a bit. All in all I will definitely come back here next summer.

We also picked some pumpkins and amazing corn and kale. They have a small store with apple cider, donuts, etc where you check out. Prices were great. They have a tractor that pulls a wagon to the different fields to help you get around. Everyone who worked there was super friendly and helpful. Tip: try to snag a wagon near the entrance so you can carry all your stuff!

They have several food trucks with lots of different choices. They have a nice farmer's market that is nicely decorated and has plenty of items for sale. They have a great selection of pies too. Also, there is an ice cream stand next to the market opened daily, all ice cream is homemade and fresh! Their hot apple cider and cinnamon donut was a great treat! Since finding Ort Farms is not too far from us, we'll be back next year once the crops are back in season.

I found out about Ort Farms from a billboard I saw driving down 17. I wanted to find a farm that…read morehad a pumpkin patch but still had apple picking, and Ort Farms had both - so it was perfect! It was about an hour drive from me, so it wasn't too bad. We came on the last Sunday of September, so the pumpkin patch and hayrides were already open (I believe they open mid-September) but they still had some late varieties of apples. They had some veggies available for picking too - tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants. You just need to purchase a bag and you can use it for both. Admission was about $15 per adult, which you have to purchase online. Kids 3 and under are free. We did the 9:30 time slot but didn't get there until 10, which didn't seem to be an issue. It's definitely best to go early so you can avoid as much of the crowd as possible. We spent almost three hours there and it was crowded by the time we left. The good thing about going in September is that most people don't want to go until October, so you get to avoid that mess. But the bad thing is that it's still probably really hot and if you're picking fruits/veggies in hot weather, it's not the most fun. By the time we were done picking apples and veggies, we were all hot and tired by the time we got to the pumpkin patch. So I'd suggest doing all of your photo ops at the pumpkin patch first and then doing all the manual labor. They have a few food trucks in one area and the apple cider slush was nice and refreshing after picking fruit. They also have a farm store with your usual suspects - pies, apple cider donuts, pre-made salads/sandwiches, etc., but we didn't buy anything. I think I found our new go-to farm. It's nice that you can kill two birds with one stone. I saw they have U-cut Christmas trees in December so I'm interested to see if they're doing any Christmas events - I wouldn't mind making the drive back.
