Great place for fresh fruit and produce. They also carry local honey and flowers. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. The displays are done nicely with room to move around everything so that you can look and see all the treasures they have. read more

Excellent experience with family picking strawberries. Staff very nice and helpful. Beautiful flowers still available and great fresh grown vegetables. We always love going this time of the year and during the fall for apple picking and getting our pumpkins. They might be pricey compared to grocery stores, but definitely worth the price since freshly grown on there facility. read more

Came here for strawberry picking, and it was a fun activity that will require you to squat and put some effort in. The strawberries were not yet ripe and really tiny (maybe it was the row they gave us, but it seems to have been foraged already). But I think it was a nice activity to do if you're in the area. Prices were 2.99 a lb, and you can purchase a container or carton. We went on a Saturday around 10am and there was few groups already. Around 11, it got very packed. read more

Meh, not as good as remembered it from our last visit maybe five years ago. I do get it that part of issue is that when we went last week it's an odd time of the year when not a whole lot of produce is either ready for PYO or is fresh/in season. PYO strawberries were done for the year and what they had left was five bucks a quart which is a bit rich for my blood especially when they're small and according to other customers I heard talking about this years crop, bitter. The majority of what was fresh was from out of the area or out of state. I get that they need product to fill their shelves but in terms of prices it would be far more fiscally prudent to hit a nearby grocery store like Giant or Shop Rite as the selection is better as are the prices. I'm a buy local when it makes sense but not just for the sake of doing it. We did buy a two pound container of local raw honey as the price on that was actually reasonable compared to other area/regional farm stands but other than that we left empty-handed. Maybe a different time of the year when things like melons, apples, corn or pumpkins are available would have yielded better results but this place is a bit far for us geographically as we only stop in sometimes on the way home from Hickory Run State Park. But even if it were closer I wasn't impressed enough to want to return as I've got a bunch of places in Berks & Lancaster counties that I would stop at first before coming back here. read more

I normally love this place but they have mask required policy and the way it is enforced I do not feel safe. The cashier by the open part of the checkout area has no mask. The majority of the employees in the employee area open to the public are not wearing masks and most of the ones that do have masks they are around their chins. I counted seven customers with no masks and no one says anything! My wife and I have been customers for over 10 years and we just left. read more

Great orchard for fresh herbs! After we caught a few trout in a nearby lake, we wanted to bbq the fish in aluminum foil with some lemon and fresh herbs. While driving back home, we noticed this orchard so we stumbled in. They have a greenhouse with an excellent selection of herbs which smelled absolutely flavorful. We purchased a few pots of dill, parsley, cilantro -- and the fish came out delicious. The herbs definitely made the dish much more enjoyable. They also sell various fruits, plants, seeds, honey, etc. The staff is super nice. read more

Always have super fresh produce, fun candy, dairy, and even baked goods. They add fun stuff for holidays such as scarecrow and photo ops for Halloween. It was our first time Strawberry Picking and Heckman's Orchard did not disappoint. When we got there, our containers were weighed and kept track of; then we were assigned a row to pick. Very organized which I loved and it didn't require us looking for ripe strawberries. We ended up picking 41 pounds which were eaten, frozen and jam will be made out of some eventually sometime this summer. Price was great, especially for us Brooklyn peeps who are charged crazy amounts of money for berries at the Farmer's Market. Can't beat it this season which was $1.50 per pound if you picked more than 20 pounds. I also asked about their pesticide use and was told it was minimal and only to keep the critters away. Hopefully :), because the strawberries were delicious and we did not bother to wash them. We were also able to bring our little dog (I called and asked in advance), if she stayed in her carrier which she did. This will definitely be an annual tradition. read more

Love love love this place!!! So glad they are back open again!! Friendly, helpful, always fresh produce, variety of jams, jellies, preserves, dressings, dairy products, baked goods, etc... We came in here cradling a tiny baby poodle and were promptly told in a very rough manner "I CAN'T HAVE THE DOG IN HERE!". Ok. Fine that's great. Gave the dog to one of the other people who are with us who had to stand outside, and whom otherwise might have bought more from your so-so open-air store. It's not like the dog was walking around. She was being carried. As we started to look around we noticed a lot of rules posted everywhere in a not-so-polite manner, such as "Don't pile up your purchases on the counter" Ok. So I guess I will just lug this fifty pound bag of effing potatoes around. You know? There is a better way to talk to people other than your pirate-like ways. Maybe if you were at least a teeny bit friendly. You know who you are, lady. Rude rule-makers. Will not be back. read more

I am from Philadelphia and I am use to "Jersey Corn" up until today. Heckman's corn was the best I have ever tasted. I always go there for my apples in the fall. They have always be helpful and friendly. The do no disappoint. read more

They must be catering to the New York invaders. The idea of a farm market used to be to get fresh vegetables at a reasonable price. The prices here are crazy. They're as high or in some cases higher than a grocery store. So we now just bypass Heckman and drive another 10 minutes to the Shoprite or Weiss on 209 where we can pick up everything we need at once. read more
