My partner and I got a chance to spend some time with his family today. We went to one of the local farms by the house to pick up some freshly picked corn and peaches from their orchard. It all began as a small family farm purchased in 1937 by the Fulmer family. Pennsylvania had approx 16,600 farms in the 500- to the 999-acre range. Sixteen of those are this farm in Northampton County. Needing to expand around 1998, they converted an old corn crib into a roadside stand. The farm has three major produce crops -- sweet corn, strawberries and pumpkins. We highly recommend this place for fresh produce as their prices are reasonable.

This was the perfect fall outing for our family of three. It's smaller than some of the other…read morepumpkin patches but less busy and noisy for a Sunday than some of the others. Our little one is too small for any of the activities or the play area so it was great just to walk around and snag a couple of cute photo ops. Bought some pumpkins and cute little munchkins from the Pumpkin Corral and then some pumpkin bread from the Pumpkin Cafe. It's $5 for a slide of pumpkin bread of $12 for the loaf so we went for a loaf! It was delish, not too sweet and great texture. They have lots of fun activities geared towards kids and even a trick or treat glow corn maze some nights.
