One of the problems I had was when you call to place an order, the staff are using something like a walkie-talkie, so you hear a lot of background noise and have difficulty hearing them. I was able to arrange delivery for an added cost. Originally it looked likeI was going to have to pick up the transitions separately because they would not be able to deliver them together, but they did manage to do that. Luckily, they always have a three day window for deliveries, because the delivery truck broke down and it was two days later that I got my delivery. They did not mention that the delivery would just be dumped on the street in front of the house, such that I would have to carry everything on myself! I was also a little annoyed that the top planks in the packaging were damaged. We had extra planks so it wasn't so bad. Therefore, I would strongly recommend going to the store and picking up your own flooring if possible. If it hadn't been for this, it would've been a five star review.

To date, I don't believe he has any ratings on google or Yelp less than 5. Also, he is A rated on BBB and the business is accredited. There is even one 5 star review on the BBB. So, he doesn't need to entice via coupons and we still chose him. We had our whole downstairs flooring done, kitchen cabinets, countertops and paint. Upstairs guest bathroom we had flooring, cabinets, removed tub and had walk-in shower installed and painting. You will ultimately not pay any less than a big box store, but what you are ultimately paying for is Khalil. He has degrees in remodeling and design and was always full of ideas and suggestions and that really helped. But the best thing about Floors and Beyond is the desire to make things right when inevitably things go wrong. We had a few snafus, the worst of which included ripping up of new tile that was already placed and reinstalling. There was no hesitation by Khalil to make that decision. You are dealing with the boss who has full authority and thankfully full of desire to make the customer happy. The issue we hear most about from others who are doing this type of work is the unreliability of sub-contractors. Except for federal holidays(we did our job during xmas/new years) and Sundays, a contractor was at our house every day. And every morning Khalil, before opening his shop, would stop by the house, followup, verify work done, and give any instructions to the sub-contractors for that day. We are now considering re-doing our upstairs flooring now that our downstairs was re-done and we aren't even considering anyone else.

This company failed to perform a proper moisture test and did not apply a moisture barrier sealant on the concrete slab prior to installation -- both of which are standard industry practices for slab foundations. We trusted their expertise and assumed any required preparation would be recommended, but it was not. As a result, our downstairs flooring has been completely ruined due to moisture intrusion coming directly from the slab. Instead of taking responsibility, the company is now attempting to shift the blame to us, claiming it's a foundation problem -- which it is not. Moisture levels in concrete naturally fluctuate with seasonal changes, and proper testing and barrier application would have prevented this issue entirely. We are extremely disappointed in both their workmanship and their refusal to stand behind their installation.
