"complimentary bread" for a table of 13.

Water took 20 minutes, one piece of bread for a table of 13, food was sub-par, and you might as well go to the grocery store to get alcohol because it would be faster.

Excellent customer service. The appetizers and entrees are so delicious! The Wild West Shrimp is my absolute favorite. The portion size is great for multiple ppl and it's very flavorful. I didn't care too much for the wings. The steak is always very delicious!!!!! The Texas margarita is my fav!

Where do I even start? The place was not giving clean. Tables sticky, crumbs still on the booth and floor. I was side eyeing my napkin like, should I be wiping things down myself? Then the food came out and whew, somebody got a little too happy with the salt shaker. I'm all for flavor, but this was a full on sodium situation. Now, shoutout to our server. She was the real MVP. Sweet, attentive, and honestly the only reason this isn't a one star review. She did her best to keep things positive, but everything else just missed the mark.

Was in Maryland and looking for a quick dinner and decided to try another chain steakhouse. Some people have said this was better than Texas Roadhouse so I came to see if they were right. Started off with some salad and wings which were both pretty standard as far as chain restaurants go. Their steak was definitely their strong suite - tender beef with a good fat ratio. Not the best steak I've had, but for a chain restaurant it is solid. My only complaint was this specific location had no bread and had very slow service. Came here for lunch and I can't remember the last time I've been to LongHorn restaurant. Our server was really friendly, greeted us right away. We did have to wait a little longer for our food but our waiter kept us informed and brought out the bread and drinks. When we received our food, it was delicious. Pleasantly surprised! The food was well seasoned and we didn't leave anything but crumbs when we left.

Server was awesome and the steaks were cooked perfectly. We ordered them medium and medium well. My margarita needed a shot, for my taste. Love ordered an old fashion and he said it was strong. He liked it though. Wasn't too busy in there. We stopped by on a Friday after work, around 5:30. Will definitely be back.

This Longhorn steakhouse is not too far from my home. I lived in the area for over three years and this is the first time that I visited. There is ample parking outside. The establishment is clean and the staff is friendly. We stopped in for dinner around 6 PM. We ordered the lobster combo with sides. We tried the broccoli, garden salad, baked sweet potato, and I had a glass of wine. All the items were made to order and delicious. I also ended up ordering the wild fried shrimp appetizer, which was also delicious. The service was a little bit slow, which is unusual because the establishment was not full. However, I still give it four stars and I will return.

My husband and I were in town for the Commanders game a few months ago. This spot is one of our go to places for dinner since it's only minutes from the hotel we typically occupy during game day weekends. This time we dined at the bar after waiting to be seated for 25 minutes. On this Saturday night, the place was packed and we had time to wait for seating. While keeping our eye out for bar seating as well, two bar seats became available while waiting for a table in the main area. Come to think about it, the seating isn't plentiful like back home (757) so all LongHorn's are not created equal. Nevertheless, it was worth the wait and we love the service and quality this restaurant provides. The service is always on point and I always order the same thing and they have not steered me wrong - knock on wood. I am a salmon girl and blackened it please. The cocktail, old fashioned is my go to - very good. I will get a glass of red wine from time to time, but LongHorn just gets it right and if they don't they try to get it right. This time my husband tried something different and he was pleased too. Plenty of parking, but do pack your patience because this place fills up fast. Have fun and enjoy life :)

I love how fresh the ingredients are on the salad and the ranch is always the best.

This is one of my favorite spots in the area. The salmon with a bourbon glaze is top tier and the size are always very complimentary. Also the honey butter brussel sprouts are literally five star!! My only issue is when you sit at the bar, if they're really busy it takes some time for them to get to you. But we had to wait about 10 minutes to have somebody acknowledge us which was not cool and I had to speak up in order to get them to acknowledge us. Still the great experience nonetheless.

During football season, I visited this Longhorns location after watching my Washington Commanders put the Tennessee Titans in their place. Tired as all get out, we ended up at Longhorns and sat at the bar to avoid waiting. The waiter wasn't a talker and he didn't have much personality, but he was polite, quick, and got our orders right. That's all I really ever hope for. The salad was bomb per usual. If you're a blue cheese lover like me, they never miss! I opted for a side of broccoli with my renegade steak while my husband ordered double potatoes with his ginormous steak. Pretty sure he lost 5 pounds while eating his food and I gained 3 just looking at mine...ugh. Anyhow, it was a great experience. Busy atmosphere, good music, delicious food and drinks. Perfect ending to a perfect day.

Bad customer service all around. I didn't expect much from this location to begin with due to its location, and just as expected, I was right! I have never had a server give out plastic utensils like the ones you see in the images to customers. Let alone in a so called steak house. To add more: we had go ask for utensils.

Caribbean barbecue in the Caribbean, Greek barbecue in Greece, and Korean barbecue in Korea. After fifty years of eating barbecue at the source, the best barbecue I have ever had is at The Rolling Rib Take 2 in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Yes. Maryland. I was surprised, too. The great barbecue capitals of the world may want to hold an emergency meeting. This place is worth the drive. Worth the flight. Worth the quest, the pilgrimage, and whatever negotiations you need to conduct with your spouse, your boss, or your conscience to get yourself through the door. If you live in the DC area, make the drive. You have run out of excuses. If you're visiting DC, put it on the itinerary alongside the Smithsonian and the Capitol. See the treasures of the nation. Then go eat one. If you aren't planning a trip to DC, change your plans. Some people travel the world to find themselves. I suggest traveling to Upper Marlboro to find dinner. The odds of satisfaction are considerably better. I know how this sounds. Every restaurant has somebody declaring it "the best ever." But I have spent half a century doing the fieldwork, across states, countries, and continents. I did not arrive at this conclusion lightly. I arrived hungry and left questioning fifty years of barbecue loyalties. Dare I say it's the best barbecue in the world? Yes. Yes, I do. And I have checked.

But now I seem to find it conveniently on 19th whenever I'm walking over there! Right now they're there on Mondays and Thursdays -- I recall searching for them on other days, but I didn't see them at the locations their website said they would be. But since it's been consistently coming to 19th Street, I have had the opportunity to have it twice, and I had the JerkBowl each time. The chicken comes off the bone so easily, and it is indeed JERKED! It's got a great taste, and the yellow rice it comes with compliments it very well. I will be trying their mac and cheese and greens in the near future, hopefully. I hope that they continue to get great business because this is food that should not be ignored! They seem to also actively become familiar with their regulars and they're super polite.

Located at 6120 Marlboro Pike., District Heights M.D. nestled between a tattoo parlor, and a couple other stores you'll find @luvplatesgrill with their beautifully designed black & orange signage!! This spot is momentarily take out only, they accept cash, and credit/debit, and they also have catering available. Their menu is concise, simple, and effective. They have sizable bowls like their DC Gumbo (with turkey sausage, and hormone free chicken $15), and their Homestyle Jerk Chicken (24 hour marinated wings smothered over red beans & rice $15). They also have some signature sandwiches like their "Jimmy Blue"(Maryland lump crab cake $20), and their "Fall off the Bone"(24 hour LuvRub-Ribs-w/BBQ sweet sauce $10). The sides include their World Famous Mac n Cheese (pictured-$8 reg. size), "Mamas Greens"(pictured-$8 reg. size), and their flavorful Red beans & Rice ($4 reg. size). On this trip I copped their Mac n Cheese, a Homestyle Jerk chicken sandwich (pictured-$6 on potato bread), and their 3 for $20 deal where I chose the Pan-seared Salmon ($3 extra), Mamas greens, and the 24 hr. Jerk chicken with the Red beans, and rice. So I started by dipping into the greens...FRESH, and seasoned to perfection!! I then took a bite out of the jerk chicken sandwich...I didn't want to stop!! It was glistening with flavor, a hint of bbq mixed with the jerk made for a tasty sandwich. Then I put a fork to the jerk wings, and watched the meat fall off the bone right into the red beans and rice. Spiced right, savory...it hit the spot. So I'm not a huge Salmon fan, but their pan seared fish with peppers, jerk sauce with a hint of bbq...made me a bigger fan!! Deliciousness!! Lastly I tackled that Mac n Cheese...I was leery via the price, and the "World Famous" title. When you go...GET IT...it's worth it. Customer service was phenomenal, they patiently explained their meals, and spotlighted the freshness of their food (which you can definitely taste). Parking is tricky, it's a very small lot they share. GO!! TRUST!! That's it.

Look, I'm from Dallas and there…read moreare some good soul food restaurants around, but it's been a minute since I've gone to any of them because you just get stuck in a rut when going out to eat sometimes. Coming back to MD for work however means I get to Uber eats on the company dime. No, I don't want McDonalds or Chipotle. Oh, look! Carolina Kitchen! My favorite item to get at any southern/soul food restaurant is always smothered pork chops with greens and mac and cheese. I was a little surprised at how expensive the plate was here but after ONE bite of the mac and cheese, I realized that it was well worth it. Best mac and cheese I've had. First, when my delivery driver dropped off my plate I was thinking to myself, Dang, this is heavy! I only ordered one plate but it felt like 2lbs of food. When I opened the container I was pleasantly surprised that it was packed! Two pork chops (sauce on side, thank you), huge servings of mac and cheese and greens and a cornbread. All fantastic. I can't speak on the other items, but I know what I ordered was straight fire. It was so good that I told a co-worker to check it out when I returned back to my home office so they can experience the awesomeness.

I've ordered from Carolina Kitchen many times, and the food itself is usually very good. This time…read moreI ordered a full rack of BBQ ribs, a pork chop dinner with black-eyed peas and potato salad, a veggie platter, and peach cobbler. This was actually my first time trying the ribs, and they were really good! I get the pork chops regularly, and they were good as always. Unfortunately, there were some major issues with my delivery order today. My peach cobbler was completely missing, along with one of the sides from my pork chop dinner. When you're paying for a full order, everything you paid for should actually make it into the bag. But my biggest issue was the veggie platter. Apparently, the veggie platter comes with only TWO sides. I was charged $21 for it, yet individual sides are $7 each. So I could have ordered those exact same two sides à la carte for $14 instead of paying $21 for a "veggie platter." At first, I assumed that for $21, maybe the veggie platter came with two larger portions. Nope! They were the same small sides that can be ordered individually for $7 each. To make matters worse, the photo for the veggie platter shows THREE sides. Charging customers $21 for two regular sides that cost $14 when purchased separately is not okay. There is literally a $7 upcharge for calling two individual sides a "veggie platter," with nothing additional being provided. There is no reasonable reason why a customer should be charged $21 for $14 worth of food. That isn't just a pricing issue--I find that practice unethical, and ownership really needs to address it. And even if the veggie platter included a THIRD small side, three individual sides at $7 each would still cost exactly $21! So even then, there would be absolutely no benefit to ordering a "veggie platter" instead of simply ordering three sides à la carte. I enjoy Carolina Kitchen's food and will give credit where it's due--the ribs were good, and the pork chops are consistently good. But between missing my peach cobbler, missing a side from my pork chop dinner, and being charged $21 for what amounts to $14 worth of sides, this order was extremely disappointing. Future customers: Do NOT order the veggie platter! Just order the sides individually. Two sides will cost you $14 instead of $21. Ownership: Just remove the "veggie platter" from the menu altogether. Two small sides cost $14 individually. Three small sides cost $21 individually. So even if you added a third side to the platter, it would STILL just equal the regular à la carte price of three sides. There is no value whatsoever in this being a separate $21 menu item. Just remove it!
