Let's talk about it. This was my third visit in a short timeframe, and once again, I kicked things off with the white cheddar stuffed mushrooms. Were they as good as the first time? Not quite -- but definitely better than my last visit. Creamy, savory, and packed with flavor, they still hit the spot. The spicy chicken bites? On point as always. I'd give the appetizers a strong 8.5 out of 10. Now, moving on to the entrée: I asked for my steak medium, but it came out medium rare. I still ate it, but it wasn't what I ordered. The sides didn't help much either -- the broccoli was bland, and the Caesar salad was just okay. Altogether, the entrée course was underwhelming. I'd rate it around a 6.5 out of 10. But the real star of the night? Dessert. The molten lava cake was pure perfection. Warm, rich, and indulgent with that gooey center and cold ice cream on top -- this was a 10 out of 10 no question. Easily the best part of the meal. As for the service... that's where things fell short. I waited what felt like forever just to get water, and even longer for my second Jack and Coke. It wasn't a busy night, so I assumed the bartender had already made the drink and it was just sitting somewhere, getting watered down. Eventually, my server came back and realized the drink had never made it to the table. She mentioned that the bartender doesn't add ice -- she usually adds it herself before bringing it over. Longhorn steakhouse is a good place to have a good steak still at a good price. Their meat is good quality, they cook it to the right temperature and the seasoning is not overpowering. You get 2 sides and it is very satisfying. You get bread that is baked in house and has good taste. They have a good assortment of appetizers and salads that are very fresh. The service is good. The waiters are pleasant and willing to help. The ambiance is Texan and accommodating comfortable seating. Nice place, I will be there often. read more

Came here recently for a little work function. And I must say the food here is very good. To start off I had the shrimp and lobster chowder. It was very delicious. And for me I had the lemon and garlic chicken which was also good. Where it missed for me was the service. Granted it was only 8 of us not even a super large group. After the introduction with the waitress; she was missing in action. It wasn't super busy inside the restaurant too. About a week ago, (Friday, September 27, 2024) I had called the restaurant to check if they take reservations since a group of 14 would be coming for dinner that night (around 7). I must say I am not one to write reviews, let alone bad ones, but what I saw a week later (Friday, October 4) made me upset to say the least. Anyways, on the morning of 9/27 I called the restaurant to find out the reservation situation. A nice gentleman answered the phone. After consulting with the morning manager he let me know that they don't take reservations and to call ahead (around 6:15) to check the wait time and to give everyone a heads up that a party of 14 would be coming in. Perfect! No problems there. *later that night* At 6:15 I called again and an annoyed woman working the hostess stand (I assume the hostess) answered the phone. I let her know that I had called earlier in the day and the morning staff let me know to call ahead for for a party of 14 at 7. She put me on a brief hold to get the manager. A female manager sounded like she couldn't be bothered with my party. With an irritated tone she told me: -they don't have tables to accommodate a large group like that - we were going to be split between 2 tables - we would have 2 separate servers - there would be no separate checks and everything would be on 1 check. (That I found strange because if you are going to give me 2 servers, why are you going make them use 1 card to open the checks over and over again when someone wanted something) ANYWAYS.. after all that, i said thank you and the peeved manager just hung up on me. My partner heard this conversation as I had the phone on speaker, and told me he was calling my the Olive Garden next door. They truely live up to their name of "when your here, your family", because they accepted us quickly. One big table, separate checks and all. But im not here to talk about why Olive Garden constantly has a line out the door and why the parking lot behind LongHorn is mostly empty (probably due to interactions like that tbh). A WEEK LATER- Friday, October 4 I still had a craving for LongHorn. And funny enough around 6:30 I went with my family. Imagine my face when I saw the restaurant was empty *gasp!* [Now I understand how forecasting works and that 1 Friday isn't going to be the same as the next. But that just seemed like someone didn't want our business nor to bother with us if the restaurant was as vacant the past week.] Not only that, I saw a table near the bathrooms that sat 14 people! Well it was for 12, but you could've added 2 tables to the ends. These tables were NOT bolted down and could've easily been moved. It seemed as the LongHorn staff, and quite frankly, that manager didn't want our business. Which is sad honestly because normally my friends and I ALWAYS go to Olive Garden. And I, like a fool, suggested we go next door for a change. Heck it was my birthday and I used that as a reason to try something new. Between the 3 separate checks that we were, we spent almost $700- that's money that could've gone to your restaurant, to your servers. Instead you gave me and my friends a reason to not even bother going to you guys for special events. Just left this establishment, it's 7:38 pm. I arrived at 6:00 pm for dinner with my family. We're a party of 3. There were a few other tables with people dinning inside, restaurant was not full by any means. We ordered sodas and an appetizer, along with our main entrées all at once. Drinks and appetizers came out fast. Our entrees, however, took a good 45 minutes before they reached our table. Upon cutting our steak, the outside had a good sear, the inside was completely raw. We ordered medium well. We sent the steaks back only to be told they the kitchen put them back on the grill. The steaks already had a good sear to them, recooking that same steak was going to burn the outside. We asked to be charged for the drinks and appetizer and left. A manager never approached us. Hialeah is not known for great customer service but tonight Longhorns went a long way to change that! we had a wonderful dinner with a very attentive waiter. we had taken food for my mom at home. but in all the comottion of leaving, we forgot our bag and didn't notice until 15 minutes later when we got home. we called back to see if the meals we had in the bags by chance had not been thrown away. the waiter kindly checked for us and unfortunately it had been- to be expected after 15 minutes.But the amazing manager, Alexandra, came on and immediately offered to make it better which she did. She was extremely professional and kind and as a result, we are now lifelong Longhorns fans and patrons. Went to the this location in a Thursday night, wait time was about ten minutes. The host and waiter was really nice. I don't know what was happening in the kitchen because there wasn't any plates available when the waiter brought the bread out. Then I hear my mom say " there is something wrong with my steak" sure enough! I had smelled something but thought it was fish or something passing by. Nope. Her steak , a filet, tasted sour. It was foul. We called the waiter and sent it back. You could smell it. Manager came and asked, literally like he didn't know what we wanted, what do you want me to do? So I said, "well its not edible, it needs to be replaced" so they made her a new one. She got a new one, when everyone was almost done eating. They didn't even offer us a discount. I've been a LongHorn fan for quite some time frequently the Ocala location every time I'm up in that area; Ocala isn't a big town so to find a good eat that's consistent isn't' easy at all. Longhorn does it well up there. When I signed up for their frequent coupons since my birthday was around the corner, they sent me some nice deals that included a free appetizer and a $3.00 discount off an entree. The free appetizer was set to expire today so I took the drive to Hialeah which was closer to me. For those of you who aren't familiar with Hialeah, it's a place that makes mostly up of Cuban descendants, so if you somehow end up anywhere in the vicinity of this town, be prepared to speak only Spanish and nothing more. No retail store in this town requires their workers to speak English at all; instead, if you're a gringo that speaks no Spanish, good luck finding a job! When I walked in today around 12:30pm, the place wasn't busy at all, with about 3 tables total and no one at the bar; mostly were small families and maybe 1 table of your typical white collar workers that were clearly white males aged 40s. The restaurant is quite large, bigger than the one in Ocala with a beautiful Texas influenced build out and theme correct county music, ("We Are Tonight" Billy Currington) playing in the background. If you had no idea what town you were in, you'd swear you were in Texas someplace, but step outside after lunch and the humidity smacks you upside your head, and now you're all of a sudden immersed on W. 49th Street with people selling everything from tamales to seasonal fruits in between car lanes. 5/5 The lunch came with a complimentary loaf of bread that came piping hot with a small ramekin of soft serve butter. It seemed as if it came directly out from the oven and to my table in just seconds. Awesome! 5/5 Wild Shrimp $10.49 was small 90-110 sized shrimp that were battered and fried tossed in butter, garlic and 3 different types of peppers and had a nice mild kick. The shrimp were nice and hot and also crunchy despite the shrimp being tossed in butter with a great flavorful taste. Since I received this appetizer for free for just joining their mailing list, it was a way to bring me in and take advantage of it. In all honestly, the value isn't there for this price if you needed to pay for it since the shrimp size is so small but for a complimentary app, it gets a 5 out of 5. This free appetizer needed to accompany an adult entree in order to get it for free. I think it's worth more on the $8 range especially for this sized shrimp. 5/5 Flo's Fillet $15.99 (Reg. $18.99) was ordered rare with a side of broccoli. I received a deal for 4 days to get a $3.00 discount and although I'm usually a ribeye guy, with the free app that needed to have an adult entree accompany the check, I didn't want to over order so I was getting a deal on the fillet, PLUS a free shrimp app to boot. The fillet came out absolutely perfectly rare full of flavor, tender cool red center the first time without needing to send it back; it was super tender inside and maybe lacking a little salt which was fine with me. I usually like a little more salt on my meats, but this was a great deal with the 3 bucks off. 5/5 Chocolate Stampede $9.49 was one incredible dessert that could be shared between 4 people; it says for 2 but with nearly 2500 calories, 2 people would walk out 2 pounds heavier! The chocolate cake was soft in some layers and more firmer in others; it came with 2 scoops of vanilla bean ice cream laced with more chocolate syrup and was just the perfect amount of chocolate goodness with some whipped cream in the center. This is one dessert I'd order again. 5/5 Service here was probably the best I've experienced lately at any restaurant; our server Tynesha was absolutely the sweetest young lady I've experienced anywhere at any place in so so long with the prettiest smile to add to her personality. She is another reason I'd go to this location and give my money to because the feeling she gave you when she came with the food, or came to service the table left you warm and fuzzy all over. I don't know how long she's worked here but this is another amazing unexpected gem when I walked into this location; what a great find and an overall fantastic place to enjoy a meal in the middle of Hialeah. Oye...I will be back soon and I know I won't be looking for any Cubanitas...cause my heart belongs to my Tynesha. Bravo for the manager who did check up on us during our meal, and to the management who is firing on all cylinders the time we went. I am a celiac and asked for the gluten free menu, our waiter went to ask the manager and he came back with his voice in a thread, saying they did not had a gluten free menu, I was shocked and asked again for a allergens adapted menu, he continue saying his manager had told him they did not have one. I asked for a minute, found the gluten free menu online and with it on my phone, I placed my order to our waiter. The manager nonchalantly deliver our entrees. When In Hialeah, this is my preferred chain restaurant to dine at. This Longhorn consistently provides good food and service. My husband and I are usually greeted and sat fairly quickly by the hostess for lunch or dinner on the several occasions we have frequented this location. We always opt to sit in a booth because they're comfy and have a lot of room. For this particular visit, I had the Napa chicken which was savory. I'm a fan of artichoke and sun-dried tomatoes, which added even more flavor to the dish. For sides I had a mixed green salad that pairs well with their white balsamic vinaigrette, and their new au gratin cauliflower side. I just stared to get on the cauliflower bandwagon and this is a perfect dish if you're testing the waters with cauliflower and aren't a fan just yet. My husband had the renegade sirloin with the au gratin cauliflower. He agreed that the cauliflower was delicious and cheesy. For his second side he had the shrimp and lobster chowder that was really creamy. We were pleased with our meals as always. read more

A steak pun is a rare medium well done. That being said, two weekends ago, I took my little cousin to Longhorn Steakhouse. It was about time, too, considering I had been telling him I would take him out since last year. Anyway, this is the first time I've gone to this particular location and the second time overall I've gone to any location. I now remember why I come here as often as I do. It's good food, just not great food. Little cousin ordered a prime rib steak, well done, with two sides of French fries. From what he told me, he loved the steak and he even got to take leftovers home. These French fries, though, made one die of thirst easily. After taking a bite of them, I kept drinking water as if my life depended it. I thought it was just me, but little cousin didn't take the majority of his French fries home stating the same reason. As for me, I had a New York strip steak, well done, with two sides of broccoli. I swear, I think we gave some of the easiest orders of mankind to our waiters. Yes, we had two. Apparently, our main waiter was training another waiter. Both were quite attentive and polite. One even took a photo of my little cousin and I, but I digress. My steak was properly cooked and seasoned. I love meat, yes, but I was surprised by how juicy and tender the steak was. I am also surprised I had leftovers. I normally eat like a beast. Then again, we did have to wait for the steaks for awhile, so my little cousin and I went to war with the complimentary bread. Goodness, that was delicious; I salivate just thinking about it, and well, I probably shouldn't be writing this before lunch time. Delicious burgers and overall great experience. If you're feeling merry, this is the restaurant that you'll stop at. My girlfriend doesn't skip a chance to order her chicken tenders (albeit ever so minimizing in size). I always mix it up with either steak or a burger. I love it when a new business opens in my hometown - especially if it's going to serve me a minimum of "good" BBQ. A few months ago I mentioned this restaurant in the "coming soon" thread, and was excited to checking it out. I even forced myself to have only a half sandwich at lunch to be able to check out various dishes. When I arrived it seemed like half of Hialeah was there for opening night. There appeared to be some empty tables and booths while there was a long line out. However, I was able to find a seat at the corner of the bar and I started off with their house-cut chips and seamless blend of ranch dressing and BBQ sauce. Slightly greasy to the touch, the taste was bar food perfection. Next up was a half rack of rib, its sweeter BBQ marinade balanced nicely with the smokier sauce for the fries. Although the sweet and creamy key line pie was very much worth it, I am knocking off a half star since they were out of the caramel apple gold rush. The description on the menu made me look forward to it. I guess that means I will have to go again and hopefully update my review :) Even with a ginormous opening night crowd, staff was on point and my bartender was pleasant and on point. I come here for drinks and may be dinner afterwork. Staff is always courteous and attentive to their guests. Manager is not too busy to pour me a beer which is a great sign that leadership here walks the talk. Your stuffed mushrooms is out of this world good. Never take them off the menu! Steaks are always perfectly cooked, sides are generous and delicious! I love coming here after a long week of work and i get to relax with a nice big beer (please bring more locally brewed beer) and big o steak! On my recent visit we got Olivia to take care of us at the bar. She was a most gracious host. Acknowledged me right away, offered the menu and a drink, and throughout our visit she was attentive, friendly and always smiling. Not just to us, but to everyone sitting at the bar.
