The last time I was there, my tech let me sit with foils on my nails for 30+ minutes while he took a break. This was especially frustrating, given that I had limited time. He previously told me that the color I chose might appear slightly different, and that if I did not like it, he would add some gel polish to balance it out. He finished up, and did not ask if I liked the end result -- just said "thank you" and quickly brought me up to the counter. While the end result looked fine, the color was wildly different than what I chose, and I was bothered by the way he treated me. If I had more time, I would've said something. Between that and it being impossible now to make an appointment over the phone, I have a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. I've seen some very entitled clients who ask their tech for multiple color changes, but I really don't think I should have to speak up about something as blatant as this.

The lady who performed my pedicure was so kind and attentive. From the minute I sat down, she was focused on me and didn't seem rushed. Her work was extremely clean--one of the best gel pedicures I've had. They also offer a paraffin wax pedicure, which I'd never experienced and decided to try out. It felt wonderful. I probably wouldn't get it every time I get a pedicure, but it would be a nice treat every once in a while. Their location is convenient, although the shopping center they're in is back off the road a smidge and the shop is tucked in the corner. But they're worth finding! I will definitely be back.

It was a small, clean, friendly business. I was so happy I stopped here. My daughter and I got a mani-pedi and could not be happier. Not only did they make me feel comfortable, the nail tech who did my 8 year old daughter's nails was so patient with her and walked her through all the steps. Awful experience! I used to live in Birmingham so I, along with my family, have been here several…read moretimes. I've never had an experience like this before. My mom and I got manis (gel for me, powder for my mom) and pedis on a Friday. During the pedicure the technician dug so much around my big toe that I bled. Well that happens sometimes but when I told her to stop, it was fine as is, she laughed. I realized there was a language barrier so a colleague had to translate for her. Again, this happens sometimes and that's fine as well. My concern is that I brought several things to her attention and we were unable to communicate. Another example, I have very sensitive skin and asked that she not use the scrub or oil because of this and that I brought my own. She began using BOTH while my mom and I had to yell to get her to stop or for the colleague to translate. Besides these health oversights by what I took to be licensed professionals, the job the technician did was AWFUL. My toe polish was so outside of the cuticles, the polish was lumpy and uneven. I got the same color on my gel manicure and after 2 days it was already peeling and chipping. I had to go to my grandmother's funeral with it like that, which was the whole reason I was there for the service anyway. I went back a few days later thinking it was the polish and tech because my mom's looked fine with powder. I explained the situation and they told me to start peeling it off myself while the new technician finished with another customer -_- but I obliged. I chose a different polish and was satisfied enough with the results so as I'm attempting to tip the tech, she says it's $25. Excuse me?! The first go round already cost $75 and it was a hack job. The only reason I went back was to fix THEIR bad work. She told me to speak with the front desk and he said that since I chose a different technician and a different polish, it should've been $35 but they can do it for $15. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? If you have techs with varying skill levels the prices should reflect that. FURTHER if you can't stand behind the products you use, why are you using them?!! Any other shop I've ever been to over the DECADES of getting my nails done will fix their own mistakes FREE OF CHARGE. That's because they can actually guarantee their work will hold up. It was courtesy that I was going to even tip AGAIN at all! I should also mention that while I was in there another customer was there for the THIRD time getting her nails fixed for a similar issue!! Terrible work, terrible service, will not be returning.

I moved to a mail station where again I waited about 20 minutes. The nail tech did a good job of giving me SNS nails. My nails were not too thick. This is the kind of place you would go if you have time to just relax and not be rushed. No one's rushing around and the atmosphere is very calm.

I came in to get my acrylic nails removed because they take walk ins and had reasonable pricing for…read morethat service. While I was there, they put my hands in sandwich bags filled with acetone and cotton balls to remove said nails causing my eczema to flare up. When asked if they could wrap my nails one by one instead, the nail tech did not respond and just letting my hands in and out of the bags as she filed off the nails. I left with the service I requested but now my hands are so raw and red from eczema that they have blistered. I do not anticipate coming back as the techs were not very helpful or accommodating for my needs. I also felt very rushed through the process since I was only coming in for a removal and not getting my nails redone. While I was sitting there, I overheard other conversations with costumers that were unhappy with their services - being overcharged because Nail World II could not color match and the customer requested her nail length to be long, while another requested a different nail color after the first layer had been applied and was met with a lot of pushback from the techs rather than seeking a solution with the customer.
