The restaurant appeared to be clean and for a week night there was a decent crowd. I was pleasantly greeted by the hostess and my server was also very friendly. I typically have to be in a mood for a seafood boil but I had eaten at the same restaurant 3 days straight and wanted something different. I played it safe and did the snow crab and shrimp boil in a garlic butter sauce that was very tasty. The corn and sausage were also good. I washed it down with a cold Stella. Overall I have no complaints and would eat here again.

My boyfriend and I weren't really into the King Cajun Seafood Special Sauce. I usually go for house special sauces since they're usually good, but this one just didn't hit the spot. We ordered the hot spice level, but it wasn't spicy at all, and the sauce had this creamy taste--maybe they added flour or cornstarch to thicken it? I prefer my seafood boil sauce to be zesty and spicy. We ended up ordering a side of Cajun garlic butter sauce instead, and that was way better in my opinion. I also wish I had asked for a side of lemon slices (my bad), it would've made the flavors pop more with some extra zest and tang. One thing I really liked about the restaurant was that their seafood sizes were enormous! The shrimp and crawfish were jumbo-sized, and the Dungeness crab was packed with meat. Oh, and a heads up, when we ordered extra corn, we thought it would be three cut pieces, but I think it was actually three whole corn cut into thirds. So yeah, no need to order extra corn unless you really love it. We ended up leaving with a whole bag of corn. I guess that will be my lunch and dinner for tomorrow.

They were having a Crab Cake and Fries special, I got that and then added two pieces of fish to my order. The owner, Denise, provided vinegar, tartar sauce, and cocktail sauce. The crab cakes were good, but there's nothing like biting into their fish and getting that distinctive crunch! I splashed some vinegar on my chips, and they were so tasty. I love this place... and I'm already thinking about going back again soon to get some of their great fried clams!

I don't say this lightly...this is the real deal…read more I'm originally from South Florida, and I've spent time in Jamaica, so I'm very picky when it comes to Caribbean food. I've had a lot of "close enough" over the years...but this? This is authentic. This is the kind of food that makes you pause midbite and just nod. Dalia's isn't your typical restaurant, and that's part of what makes it so special. It's set inside what feels like a home, and when you walk in, that's exactly the experience...you're not just a customer, you feel like a guest. It's warm, personal, and genuinely welcoming in a way you just don't find in most places anymore. And I have to say...everything is spotless. You can tell she takes pride not just in her food, but in the space she's inviting you into. And she carries that same care into the food. I've been here multiple times, and what impresses me most is the consistency. You know how some places wow you the first time, then slowly fall off? Not here. Every single visit, the food has been just as good as the last. That alone is rare. Now let's talk about the oxtail... Fall-off-the-bone tender, rich, deeply seasoned...but perfectly balanced. Not overly spicy, not bland...just enough heat to remind you you're eating proper Jamaican food. And unlike a lot of places, you actually get meat here. Generous, satisfying portions that feel like someone cooked this for you on purpose. The rice (and yes, it's seasoned beautifully...more like a classic Caribbean rice than traditional peas and rice) is the perfect base, especially when you ask for a little extra of that brown sauce over the top. Trust me on that. The cabbage has a nice little kick to it, cooked just right...not soggy, not raw. The plantains? Sweet, caramelized, exactly what you want them to be. And I have to mention the mac & cheese because it surprised me in the best way. Creamy, with a perfect cheese pull, but not heavy or overwhelming. It's balanced...comforting without being too much. One of the things that really stood out to me is the quality of the meat. I actually asked her about it, and she sources locally from a farm...which explains a lot. You can taste the difference. Also, pro tip: call ahead. Her food is fresh and made with care, and she does sell out. I usually let her know what day I'm coming and what I want, and she's always incredibly accommodating and kind about it. The first time I came, she even gave me a sample plate with a little bit of everything...and there wasn't a single thing on that plate I wouldn't order again. This place isn't just a restaurant...it's an experience. It feels like sitting in someone's home, being fed with pride, skill, and love. Honestly? It's a hidden gem, and places like this are getting harder to find. I'll be back again...and again.

This place specializes in seafood. Apparently they have a oyster bar that opens at 3 o'clock. We did not do that. We ordered off the menu. An open face chicken Parm sandwich and shrimp pesto over penne pasta. Both meals were absolutely wonderful. They weren't too much and they weren't skimpy either. Just right for in the middle of the day. The french fries are out of this world. They taste just like my mom used to make when we were kids. That's because they were made out of fresh potatoes like my mom used. They served bread with it also and they were rolls. I believe they were homemade. They had a real nice light sweet taste to them. They also as one of the soups of the day had New England clam chowder that my husband thought was excellent. The place is decorated beautifully. There's lots of room. It's good for just two people to come and eat or if you have an event rehearsal dinner or a little family get together there's plenty of room and it appears they even have an extra outside entrance for events in the side room. The waitress was wonderful. That the menu as you can see from the pictures I posted is really diverse. A lot of different items that you won't see anywhere. For instance there was roast fried green peppers in Oil with bread. I wanted to try that, but I went towards the Parmesan instead. They got a couple different greens dishes too. There's sandwiches Rubens and hamburgers and buffalo chicken sandwiches. And I didn't see any of the salads go near us however they have the regular salads like we find in western Pennsylvania with the french fries and steak on them. The bar looks really nice. They had a beer on tap and had a white selection again. I posted the picture with it. I would come back again when we're passing through it's a must go to place.

Around 12:45 PM,…read morewhile I was sitting in the waiting area waiting for my food, I looked toward the cash register and saw a medium-sized baby roach crawling across the wall in broad daylight. When I first pointed it out to the staff, they initially tried to ignore what I was saying. After a moment, they turned around, looked, and finally acknowledged that the roach was there. Instead of treating it like an urgent issue, I was met with excuse after excuse. I was told they had just moved into the location, that they were only on the third phase of spray treatment, and that they were working on the problem. Regardless of the reason, customers should not be seeing roaches crawling around while waiting for their food. By that point, I was already uncomfortable because I had been watching what was happening behind the counter. I noticed some employees handling food without gloves, while another employee wearing gloves repeatedly scratched their nose with those same gloves and continued working without changing them. That is not the level of cleanliness or food handling customers expect when ordering a meal. Between seeing a roach in the dining area, the questionable food-handling practices, and the number of excuses that were offered instead of genuine concern, I completely lost my appetite. Although they refunded my money, that doesn't change the experience I had. Cleanliness and sanitation should never be optional in a restaurant. Based on what I personally witnessed today, management has serious cleanliness issues that need to be addressed immediately. I sincerely hope they take the necessary steps to improve their pest control, food safety practices, and overall sanitation before more customers have a similar experience.
