We arrived at 7:40 p.m. and received our drinks at 7:51 p.m. While an 11-minute wait isn't excessive, it felt slow given how lightly occupied the restaurant was. We ordered the Wild West Shrimp as an appetizer, and it arrived about 12 minutes later. As always, it was flavorful, fresh, and had just the right amount of heat. Once we had nearly finished the appetizer, our server came back to take our entrée order, which felt well-timed. As a steak lover, I ordered the Outlaw Ribeye cooked medium rare. Our entrées arrived at 8:25 p.m., another longer-than-expected wait considering the light crowd. On a Tuesday after Labor Day, I anticipated quicker service. The steak itself did not disappoint. It was cooked perfectly to a medium rare with a nice warm red center and was seasoned very well. The quality and flavor were excellent. I couldn't finish it, but that had more to do with filling up on the salad and appetizer than with the steak itself. I've tried steaks at all of the major chain restaurants in the area, and in my opinion, LongHorn consistently offers the best combination of flavor and value. While the Outlaw Ribeye covered the plate nicely, it wasn't as thick as the steaks you'll find at a high-end steakhouse. Even so, it was satisfying and well worth ordering. Overall, I would recommend LongHorn Steakhouse to anyone craving a quality steak without paying steakhouse prices. Just don't expect a quick dining experience, even on a slow night.
