Our ticket showed the name Cindy. If she was the one who greeted us at the drive-thru to complete our two orders, then 10 stars for her!! Whoever it was that day provided excellent customer service and made us feel valued as a customer. We love LJS and don't have many in the area, so this is one of the locations we drive over to when we are craving fish -n- chips. For a nostalgic purposes, I decided to go through the drive-thru to see if anything had changed. I have the fish and chicken platter, and I don't remember the chicken ever being this good. Everything else tasted exactly how I remembered it from 45 years ago, even the hush puppies. I have to comment on the friendly ladies working in the drive-thru. It's always nice to be greeted by cheerful people when ordering food, they genuinely made my day a little brighter. But then again, how much atmosphere do you expect in a fast food place? They were fully staffed up for the reopen, so the service was prompt. They have added a few new menu items since the last time we visited....probably 20 years ago. The fish was as oily as I remember, but the flavor was good. We also had clam strips, crab cakes, chicken strips, and waffle fries. All would've been better if they had been a little hotter, but overall it was a good effort for a crazy crowded grand re-opening. We might be back....
