I would not recommend based on my office experience. I was referred to Long Island Endodontics by my dentist, with whom I have been a patient for years. Long Island Endodontics charges $275 for a consultation without x-rays. If you choose to have the procedure performed at that office, the consultation fee is applied towards your bill. I did not receive a receipt for the $275. It was a mistake on my part not to ask for one. The invoice for this visit was sent to my place of employment, which I find to be very unprofessional. I was billed $627.00 for x-rays. Patients should be informed that their x-rays are on the high end. My dental insurance only covered $87.00 and I can understand why. The individual responsible for billing is unprofessional in communication, both verbally and through email. My visit to this office is costing $550 with no dental work being performed. The kicker! They have pursued legal action against me for the $275. I did inform my dentist about my unfortunate experience with this office. I was provided me a new referral and had a much better experience. The total cost for my root canal (two visits), crown and x-rays, was less than $250.00. read more

Dr. Berry is amazing! I was completely terrified the night before my root canal and could not sleep. It was completely painless. Dr. Berry was so gentle that I actually fell asleep during the procedure I was so exhausted. BEST DENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER! I have a severe fear of having dental work done with a very low pain tolerance. I can honestly say I felt absolutely nothing! Terrible experience I will never forget! Extremely unprofessional. I was seen by dr Wendy Rosen. My initial visit we went over ALL of my dental issues. She took a 3D scan that cost me 250 dollars on site and then referred me to another dentist for an entire different tooth. After that I didn't hear back from her. I had to call the office over and over again to get an answer from her....finally she fessed up and told me that she didn't want to work on the tooth because It was too complicated. I asked for my money back and she told me she would set it up and then I never heard from her again. Really great experience here, as great as root canals can be anyway. First, Dr. Berry has a great personality- funny in a quirky way, doesn't talk down to you, and kind of nonchalant in his delivery while remaining professional; I appreciate this quality because if you sound TOO serious with me, I get extra nervous. I need the levity or else I'm gonna bolt and live with the pain forever. The front desk was awesome- very sweet, inviting lady. When I walked in, I got a smile. That goes a long way with me. No paperwork to fill out; you get a tablet. I didn't have much of a wait before I was seated in a room, had an X-ray taken of the troublemaking tooth, and Dr. Berry came in to see what's up. Then I got the scan thing so they could get a better image. Yep, last endodontist probably missed a canal so, Dr. Berry gave me three options. I chose Door Number One, then he said, "Wanna do it now?" Hell yea! Less chance of my chicken self backing out. You can tell a place is super nice when they numb your gums with topical before they stick you with the needle. Many thanks. Didn't feel a thing after that. He and the hygienist (Lisa?) probably thought I was an idiot, or deaf, because when I'm in the chair, I zone out completely so if they asked any questions I think I was delayed in answering; but they do check up on you to make sure you're alive and well throughout the process! They send you away with a baggy of Tylenol and Advil, thorough instructions, what to expect, and a pat on the head (one of those is not true). Bonus points: I declined the Rx pain meds that were offered because I thought meh, I've had four root canals, two implants, and teeth knocked out of my head by force. I'm a pro at pain in my face. Yeah, well, trouble making tooth proved me wrong at precisely 3:42 am. I feebly emailed their system in shame asking for the meds I declined; by 0830 I had a missed call by Dr. Berry himself and a Rx on the way. Dr. Berry and staff are very professional, friendly and thorough. I needed a root canal and my dentist whom I trust very much recommended me to see Dr. Berry. I have just moved to New York from across the country and I needed a root canal as soon as possible. I was in a lot of pain and stress from the recent move and wanted to have an easy procedure and recovery. A coworker of mine suggested Dr. Berry and it was the best experience I could have asked for. The hours of the dental office made it easy for me to schedule an appointment after work and I did not have to worry about taking time off. At the office Dr. Berry did everything he could to put me at ease, the numbing process was easy and the procedure was as good as could be expected. I was not in pain and Dr. Berry would talk to me to help distract me. When the procedure was finished they gave me detailed instructions on how to take care of it and instructed me on the pain medication and I was allowed to leave. I have been to many medical practices in my 28 years of life and I have to say Long Island Endodontics deserves one of the best reviews I have ever given. I have been to 3 different Endodontist in NY and Dr Berry knows more then 10 doctors combined. He has amazing bed side manor listens to your concerns and gives you and gives you an honest opinion. Long Island Endodontics is upfront, honest, and kind. I am a bit of a nut when it comes to anything medical and the doctor and staff did not hesitate to answer all my questions and keep me calm on my multiple phone calls. I have never had a doctor call me the next day and getting a call from Dr Berry reassured me how great of a practice he leads. No one else would do my re-treatment for a root canal because they said it was too complex and Dr Berry didn't even flinch. You need to go to practice you can trust with these procedures because they are risky so I can say with confidence there is no one better in NY State. They make so miserable, enjoyable. My dentist diagnosed my need for a root canal. I went to L.I. Endodontics and was treated by Dr. Barry Goodman. Can you say PAINLESS?? Seriously, from start to finish, even on day 2 (after the novacaine wore off ...) there was not a hint of discomfort or pain, I only took OTC pain relievers on a schedule. Speaking of novacaine, Dr. Goodman is a magician with that hyperemic needle, I didn't feel a thing... The front desk is staffed by Jessie, she's warm, professional, and so calm (unlike me...). Nancy was my very skilled, very personable tech (she has a lovely singing voice too!). All in all, what would have been a bummer (having a root canal while on vacation), was turned into a minor inconvenience thanks to L. I. Endodontics. I went to this dentist office June 2021 to repair a route canal recommended by my primary dentist so I was very adamant about how much my dental insurance covered because I've have nightmares with different dentist offices so I asked multiple time so there staff told me on numerous occasions that I only needed to pay $75 and my insurance would cover the rest I even wrote it down on there dental forms that I will only pay $75 because that's what I was told by dr Craig berrys staff . So 8 months later this office tried to billed me for I don't even know what so I called and told them look I paid what there staff told me it was which was $75 and I told them I'm not paying one penny more . So on May 31 2022 they took it upon themselves to charge me another $75 without my authorization because I guess they had my debit card information and then when I contacted about this charge they told me they were allowed to do this because of the forms I signed which is BS because it doesn't say that so please no one go to this crook it's bad enough they get a lot of money from our insurances but then they want more straight out of our pockets they probably do this all the time and no one notice especially there older senior customers I'm very upset is there one honest dentist around if so please let me know thank you . read more

Very disappointed... My insurance covered almost all of the procedures I needed through Long Island Endodontics or so I thought. However, I was conveniently told that I needed a 3D x-ray​ which was not covered at the ridiculous cost of $200.00. I could not afford a cost this high, that is why I sought out an office where my insurance was accepted. I probably should have said no but I didn't. He said my tooth needed to be pulled and I would need an implant. We shall see when I talk to my own dentist. The positives were that the office was clean and very modern. Dr Berry is a wonderful Endodontist. He is so warm and caring. I went to him because a dentist I went to took xrays and said I need to go get a root canal. Dr Berry looked at the xrays my dentist sent to him. He then took an additional X-ray. He wanted to see a closer up 3 d view to make sure that I needed the root canal. (I wasn't having any pain ) He has a state of the art piece of equipment that was able to show him a lot more detail on the area. It turned out because of the situation im my root canal and tooth that I didn't need the root canal therapy at this time. He is very thorough and honest and extremely knowledgeable. I hope to not have to need any root canal therapy in the future. If I do, I will 100% go back to Dr. Berry ! read more

Need a root canal? I hope this will save you time & pain. It took me FOREVER to find this amazing Dentist. I have a friend who works for another dental office and I pleaded with her and told her I really need to get this work done right the first time. I called her up in pain. She finally whispered in my ear and said, Dr. Santopolo. She told me that I wouldn't find anyone better. SHE WAS RIGHT!! Dr. Santopolo is VERY good at what he does and he does the BEST root canals. No one compares to him and I know, I've been to lots of bad dentists and I've paid the price for it in many ways. He removed a crown. I wished I would have found him long ago. There was no pain at all and very little afterwards and he saved one tooth by doing a root canal. The staff is pleasant, every one I interacted with. The best endo I've experienced or heard of from friends/family. But if that's not enough, he possesses a quality that no one has anymore: CARING AND GREAT BEDSIDE MANNER. From the moment you meet him, he's warm and friendly and will let you know it's going to be okay. Nobody does that anymore BUT THEY SHOULD! I can't ever see going to any other dentist for these kinds of projects. I'm so glad I found him. After having some terrible past experiences, it's SO nice to know it can be done right AND done well. I was having terrible tooth pain over the weekend and got in touch with Dr. Barry on a Saturday night. He immediately got back to me and came in on a Sunday morning specially to give me a root canal (even though I'm not a regular patient of his). Dr. Berry is definitely knowledgable and experienced in the field. I had a root canal done by another doctor (improperly) about 8 years ago, and had to get it retreated. I ended up needing an apicoectomy which lasted about 2 to 3 hours. Throughout the entire procedure Dr. Berry was very caring and made sure that I was as comfortable as I could be. Would highly recommend Dr Berry to anyone that needs a root canal specialist. I was told by my dentist that my tooth needed a complicated root canal and he even suggested I pull the tooth. Amazing I swear I'm the worst patient and I was crying.... Dr.Berry was amazing amazing amazing! Gave me numbing jelly before the needles and I didn't feel anything! Root canal what root canal...
