The experience went smoothly until a couple of days later when my face started to swell. I went back to Dr. Hasday's office and was given a stronger antibiotic to combat the infection that was beginning. Another couple of days and the swelling didn't go down, in fact, the swelling began to spread. Went back to Dr. Hasday, his exact words were that he "was not worried at all" and to wait for the antibiotics to take affect. Two more days later, I went back to his office for the third time. I was told to go to the hospital immediately as it seemed that the infection was spreading down my neck and up my face. I ended up spending FIVE DAYS in the hospital. And that's not even the worst part of the story! Dr. Hasday, while attentive when the implant failed and while I was in the hospital, soon began to ask for payment! Payment for a failed implant that left his patient in the hospital for FIVE DAYS! I thought that there must be a mistake and he assured me that he had to seek payment from me because it could show fault on his part if he didn't! Ultimately, he did return some of the money that I had already paid. Then it was time to re-attempt the implant. The negotiations were on again! I stupidly paid, again, to have the implant done with his office. SECOND IMPLANT ALSO FAILED! So, thousands of dollars spent, 5 days in the hospital, one terrifying infection, one infection/implant removal surgery and still no implant. I recognize that some of what happened was out of Dr. Hasday's hands. However, how he comported himself during one of the worst times of my life, is all him. This is a doctor that does not care about you. Trust me. By the way, I am still receiving calls from his office for payment.

This current office, as was the last one, is always immaculate. It feels good to walk into a clean and tidy business. With the pandemic looming, he has taken even more stringent measures. Temperature checks, hand sanitizer and more protective gear is the rule of thumb here. He and his staff have always been professional and treat my family and I with respect. While I would submit that it's not fun to go to the dentist, seeing Henry is the best dental experience I could hope for. He's smart, funny, kind, and a talented professional, always injecting humor and personality into my visit. (Speaking of injecting, he's perfected this cheek-shaking method of giving you novocaine, so it's pretty painless) You have the impression that he totally knows what he's doing, and has seen-this-done-that with every other patient before. I'll also get e-mailed reminders for appointments. (Once, as a joke, he e-mailed my mom one of my x-rays and joked with her that he was holding me for ransom in his office.) The service is exceptional, my mom has been in his chair quickly and at ungodly hours when she's had a problem. The same goes for the hygenist, Cheryl, who has been cleaning me up for years, with competance and professionalism. She used to let me pick the flavor of the cleaning toothpaste (I always liked cherry, thank you very much), but unfortunately she's curtailed that since I've gotten older now. Besides Henry being a great dentist and Cheryl a great hygienist they care for their patients. I…read morerecently had a toothache and although Henry was on vacation, Cheryl told me to come to the office so she could exam it. She took an x-ray and saw that there was an abscess under a crown that needed to be taken care of right away. She contacted Henry, sent him the x-ray and he recommended several endodontists to do a root canal. Cheryl then proceeded to call to see who was available and to help make arrangements for me to see the specialist. That's going above and beyond. They are truly caring professionals!
