I recently had an issue this last week. when I called to make an appointment the receptionist that answered was very, very rude, and rushed me off the phone. When I had questions regarding my situation she didn't want to be bothered and rushed me off the phone. When I arrived to my appointment she greeted me with an attitude and in the welcome sentence she jumped to say you have no insurance and we'll discuss payment after your visit. As if I didn't already know that and always pay in full the time of my visit. I left needing to see an oral surgeon. as I was leaving I asked for a referral. I was told I didn't need one. When I arrived the following day to my oral surgeon appt. they asked for my referral that I didn't have. I called Raios office (110 E. Main St Huntington) The same girl answered the phone. I told her the situation. She was so rude again. Told me she was emailing the referral to me, I asked her not to as I was already in the chair. She snapped and said "what's the difference if I send it to you and you send it to them" and slammed the phone on me. I immediatelytried calling back as did the receptionist at the other office and no one answered. It's hours later and I still don't receive the email. I do not appreciate being treated that way. As I have spent a lot of money in the past. Out-of-pocket full payment upfront. I travel 45 minutes to see them because I trust the doctors. And I value their opinion and as of right now they have never directed me the wrong way. I've had a wonderful experience with the other receptionist there, Stacy. She has taken great care of me and my family. But as for this other receptionist, the way she treated me was disgusting. It had me second-guessing if it's worth the 45 minute drive to see a doctor. I'm sure I find a doctor much closer Dr to me. I don't deserve to be treated that way and I will not be treated that way. As a business owner myself , I would not put up with my workers treating my customers this way.

They said that there was a waiting period for minor work until 12.1.2024 then for major service 6.1.2025 for Anthem. This did not make sense to me so I immediately contacted my HR person at my job via teams. Before my HR person got back to me they changed their tune by saying they just called my insurance and said there is no waiting period and the previous person they spoke too at Anthem gave them that info. My wife's insurance required a 150 copay for what i needed done so I paid it. I go to the back they did not check my pressure which is standard and wanted to administer anesthesia without telling me what they plan on doing step by step until I asked. They numbed me up at least 3 times but I was not getting to the point where they can do the work. This was god intervening. I told them I was not comfortable with this unprofesionalism and level of care and left. The anesthesia wore off 15 minutes later. I reached out to the state certification board to make a complaint let them know about my experience. This place need to be shut down.

Rosalia is a fabulous dental hygienist; kind, gentle, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. My cleaning and X-rays were quick, but thorough. Dr. Barsky is equally kind and genuinely cares about your dental and overall health. I was not sold any additional toothpastes or mouth care, which I very much appreciate, coming from dentists in Manhattan that are just looking for a buck. Vicky the office manager was equally fantastic, she was so friendly and accommodating. Overall a 10/10 experience. The director didn't know what he was looking at to tell us what was going on with our kids teeth, but didn't know how to even read the exam. He had to call somebody and he was just repeating what they were saying and what they were seeing on the exam, he wasn't even looking at the correct exam for my daughter. He was looking at her last visit, he was disrespectful to My Baby by pointing at her asking me if there's anyway I can quiet her down and offered to give a lollipop after her teeth were just brushed, somebody make it make sense! Do not go to this dentist office. It's promoting that it is a family dentist environment but they took forever to just see us. They were 45 minutes late after our scheduled appointment. We were 20 minutes early. The whole appointment took over two hours and then he wants to know why a one year-old was crying while we are just sitting in the room waiting and he disrespected our family by the way he spoke to us, saying that he could not work and explain everything while the baby was crying, it's a family dentist, marketing to children!
