Dr. Pena's is the best. She's experienced and friendly. The office is modern and clean.

During my husband's recent visit to this dental office, he felt uncomfortable with the way one of the dental assistants Yaritza Ortiz interacted with him. In his opinion, the behavior came across as overly flirtatious, and it didn't feel appropriate for a professional healthcare setting. He went in expecting a comfortable and professional experience, but left feeling uneasy because of the interaction. They will keep you waiting for hours, and they will ruin your teeth. Hygienist has horrible attitude, and the dentist is incompetent with how to do proper dental work. These people ruined my teeth. read more

I went it for emergency visit on day before Christmas because I had bad pain. They just did a cleaning and told me it was a wisdom tooth which I already knew. I asked them to prescribe me something for the pain because it was teririble. Iguess they were just so eager to get off that they never prescribed me with anything. Waste of my time and had so much pain over the weekend because they were closed until Monday. Do better. read more

They are thief's. I paid them $400 dollars cash and the they gave me a receipt that said $50 dollars. And they threw out my mouth mold that I had left there for my appointment. How do they get away with this. They probably do that to all the patients that pay cash. My suggestion is pay with credit cards so it's on record. Or Don't go there !!!! read more

Horrible the wait time is always almost 2 hours she inserted 3 teeth and all 3 teeth had to be pulled within 6 months will never return not to mention the front desk help is horrible always have an attitude! read more

This place is too slow, they make you punctual but they take more than 3 hours to do the cleaning this is too stressful like if you have all day to lose alone in this place and I have had to wait up to 5 hours for them to attend to me Not good . read more

I love this office . especially Dr . Pena she been my dental over 15years . all my children been going to her since they were young. now my grandsons are going to her. The office is very professional. She is very gentle. Her work is excellent I would recommend anyone to go to her. Hope Dr.peña sees this as i'm currently under her insurance but my name is Luiz Guevara and I legitimately for the love of god hate this office for many reasons * overstaffed to the point she books in too many people she can't tend to unless they wait 2+ hrs in the waiting room *one simple procedure for a tooth implant is taking wayyyy longer than it should and at this point i'd rather not even do it anymore. *Dr.Pene is like a sighting of god because you'll see her for a brief moment before she vanishes and someone else who has little to no experience tends to you. *if you're not hispanic you might as well kill yourself for even stepping in because you'll get looked at different as if you murdered someone. .....god I really hate this place in hempstead. read more

My father spent money at this location. He needed someone who can speak the language. Unfortunately, the problem just got worse.... The practice collected all the money that was paid out of pocket and they did a horrible job. Now I have to pay for my father again and he is beyond upset at for the way that it looks. I'm only giving one star in order to be able to leave a review... the fact is they deserve 0 stars. We booked an appointment and traveled two hours to get there. Once there one of the ladies at the front desk was super dismissive and curt. After they informed us that we had to call our insurance company to have the dentist authorized, which we did, and filling out paperwork we waited for around 1 hour. My mother was allowed in the dentist's office only to be there for all of 5 minutes. The dentist never touched her. My mom tried to explain that she wanted to truly take advantage of the visit since she lives so far and if she could please start working on her that day; the doctor refused stating we needed to call the insurance company to let them know she was now her dentist (mind you... we'd already done that and she knew it). Bottom line... these people have no respect for their patients time and treated us as if we were ignorants. On top of it they're getting paid for a visit in which they did nothing but waste our time. read more

The whole staff and Docs are horrible! They make you wait like 2-3 hours in the waiting room and like 30 min once they bring you to the room. You ask them questions and no one cares to answer. Don't go here it's a waste of a day! read more

Dr. Pena is Creme de la creme when it comes dentist. She took care of my 78 year old mother's tooth extraction and dental implants. Dr. Pena was very supportive and thorough when explaining the process. My mother is smiling a lot more with confidence. Dr. Pena is truly a professional and has a naturally lovely personality. They are ridiculous. The front staff is extremely RUDE! Starting with the lady with blond hair. Super dismissive. It like the double book appointment slots. Which I'm sure that is exactly what they are doing, Bc they have you waiting more than 1 hr after your SAID SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT. When you go and ask to see what's going on there response is always "we are so busy today" okay granted, I get that. But why schedule an appointment come 15 mins early like they always ask and suggest you do and still have to be waiting longer than 1 hr to then get called in and put into a patient room and have to wait some more. They are running the front reception HORRIBLY!! And it has been like that for years ! You try to explain to them you have other appointments elsewhere you have scheduled and they don't care they think we have all day to be waiting like sitting ducks. It' upsetting to see and even more upsetting bc I'm sure they hear the whole waiting room complaining about being there for over an hour waiting and it's only 11:22AM and people been here since it opened at 8:30 AM. So I'm sure it will only get worse. Also sad to see this is a spanish run business and they treat there own ppl so rudely , you would think they are for their own community to help, but that's not the case. Bring your lunch and a snack. Waiting time is ridiculous. I was called up 30 mins after my appointment time for check-in. When I asked how long I would have to wait I got attitude. She told me to be patient because there were a couple of people ahead of me. More like 6 or more people. I was going to have to wait 1.5 to 2 hours to be seen by the dentist. It's not the first time this happens. Will be the last. The service they provide is Not worth the wait!! read more

If I can give them 0 Stars I would. Most incompetent people I have ever dealt with. They have no idea how to run an office correctly. I received a bill in the mail from a visit from two years ago stating that I had a balance. No one ever contacted me when I try contacting them a month ago in regards to the bill I left a message I left my phone number with one of the employees and no one ever got back to me that I had to call back again to try and rectify it what was going on. Today I called to pay I called back today to pay because I had reached an agreement with a lady named Michelle that I can pay five dollars a month. I spoke to a gentleman who told me his name was Alberto and he said that the doctor doesn't deal with billing and I need to pay everything in full. I told him that I was told something completely differentAnd that I can only afford the five dollars a month he said he was going to call me back or that I should call back whenever I had the money to pay but the doctor will send me to collections if I don't pay but I am on the phone with him trying to pay what I could and he then told me well then the doctor can speak to you when she has a minute their stories are never straight. They go back and forth on what they say they're going to do. I then received a phone call from another gentleman saying that they were going to write off the balance and send me an email and apologized for any miscommunication. Then I received another phone call from someone else saying that I need to pay the full amount. I did not want to deal with them anymore so I paid it in full because I could not take dealing to stupidity. It wasn't about the money it was about the principle. They are incompetent because they don't know how to deal with this situation. If your employees don't know how to handle someone, have them contact someone else in charge to deal with this and not play telephone. They are lucky that I don't live in New York anymore. Dr. Pena you should be ashamed on how you have trained to your employees. To your response.. I just moved to another state. I NEVER received a bill from you. Not one phone call. Nothing. You "fit my needs" after realizing that your staff messed up in the first place. Train employees better and own up to your mistake as a business owner. read more

So nice! Everyone here is so friendly! It is a very modern office and they seem to have the latest and greatest equipment. Dr. Pena is totally cool. She is also very humble as she has pretty extensive training yet is very down-to-earth. The office is clean and bright and there is plenty of parking. Highly recommend! read more

The Wait is horrible. The front desk lady has an attitude and isn't understanding. They take forever to call you inside and when you get inside the wait is even longer the what you waited outside. This office is very unprofessional, I had to take my kids since it was one of the places the insurance will accept but due to the unprofessional system they carry I definitely looked for a different Dentis office, I would suggest you to first take a look at the place, research and review this place before wasting your time and money, they always behind schedule with 2 or 3 hrs late, when you speak to the person in-charge or even owner which also are very unprofessionals they have a habit of always giving a lame excuse, "they always seem to have emergency patients and that why they always behind schedule", so what happen when you have an appointment and you arrive there before time? .. i would understand 1 time but not all the time!! some of the staff members don't even know what they do and are NOT professional at all!! They try to do x-ray to my wife when she was pregnant, there answered was that she will be cover !?!? we had to ask the doctor to make sure that is the correct procedure and then they realized they were making the mistake!! Wish I could give zero star. The worst dentist I ever seen. Customer service unfriendly. Waiting time in waiting room 30 min - 1 hour. Then after called, another waiting time on treatment room 30 min - 2 hours. How many hours I wasted already with them. I saw on appointment list, 3-4 people had the same appointment time. So greedy, till my last 2 appointment never seen by her but another dentist whom assisted her. Even when the substitute dentist told me I don't need to make another appointment, still not a few words from my primary dentist since she told me that she's going to check my insurance for another treatment approval . Worst thing, she did something not necessary just to collect all my insurance cover and I ended up paying too much copay to another dentist since had no more money in my insurance plus made my teeth got worst after her treatment. read more
