Did 1 star because I can't do zero stars. I've loved Advanced DDS, but ever since Dr.Raskin sold the practice it's been the worse ever. Front desk staff is good, Wendy is the BEST. Office manager and the billing department not so much. I've been waiting for over a month for a refund which they submitted on 5/29 here we are 6/27 still no refund. I've been waiting for 2 weeks for the office manager to call me back I've called back twice and still no office manager call back, Joanna the billing manager was in contract with me guaranteed me an answer by yesterday 1pm still nothing. They seem to always want to home patients money u til the patient actually ask for it and then make them wait for their refund as long as they want to make you wait. If you are looking to loan your money to a corporation who doesn't care about you go to Advanced DDS, if you want a dental office that cares about its patients go somewhere else. read more

Very disappointing in the way I was treated as a long time patient for 30 years. Dr Raskin, after his retirement, I had waited 2 months for a cleaning appointment, then the day before my appointment they decided to call me and said if I didn't get an x-ray (which is my prerogative and my money - due to no dental insurance) they told me that cannot take me!!! So either do what they say or they will not treat you?! WOW!! Mr. Raskin always respected my situation when needed. So sorry that these people, whoever is running it now, needs to stop looking for money out of patient's pockets that can't afford it at times and turning them away. This review is for the pediatric dental services. I had a great experience yesterday when I brought my 3 year old here to fix his cavities. They got so bad to the point that our original pediatric dentist couldn't fix them in his primary care office. He told us we needed to go somewhere that will be able to put him under general anesthesia as he is too young and finicky to be able to just have nitrous oxide. So I researched several places and this one came up with great reviews for Dr Sybil. Ultimately, we liked her and had the procedure done. We received a call from the anesthesiologist the night before to review everything and went in at 8am to begin- luckily it was too early for him to eat breakfast and he had to be NPO anyway. Dr Sybil and the rest of the team reassured us and reviewed everything before they began. My husband took our child in, they put a mask on and he was out in less than a minute. Then we waited in a small meeting room while they did his dental work. Around 11am, Dr Sybil came out to tell us everything went well, that they were waiting for him to wake up and that they will get us before he really wakes up so he wouldn't be too scared. Grateful to Dr Sybil, Dr Rivero (anesthesia) and Nancy (paramedic) for their awesome job. And thanks to the staff for checking on us and offering refreshments! Just had the ZOOM Whitening treatment done. I could not be happier with the results. The whole procedure took about an hour. My tech Flor was wonderful. She really took her time to ensure I would not experience any sensitivity. Which I did not. All the people in this office are wonderful. I had a great experience with Dr. D'Orlando (aka Dr. D) at Advanced DDS. I needed some extensive repair work done. I was very anxious about the process. I was immediately put at ease by Dr. D's comforting manner. He made sure I was numbed up to my eyeballs before he started any work, so I can honestly say the worst part of the procedure was the noise from the drill. (*Note to self: Quick fix, bring earbuds next time.) They have a lot of upgraded equipment, but their services are expensive as well. Some dentists are better than others, but everyone seems generally good. My only qualm here was the way the crown was fit to my mouth. I dont think shaving the natural tooth opposite of the one that is being worked on is more effective than shaving down the crown itself. You can make another crown but I won't get my natural tooth back. Anyways, it was a little rushed and they didn't make a size adjustment on the crown after placement. Glad they make things in-house. They charge a lot of money and I sometimes think that a lot of recommendations are made to make a profit from patients. Anyways, would recommend. read more

This office made a very professional impression at the onset of scheduling an appointment. My 8 yr old was referred here due to her phobia of dentist care. Let me tell you, Moe and Dr. Sybil placed my daughter at ease immediately and made her unfortunate tooth extraction the best possible experience. As a stubborn guy I waited until I was in pain to get dental help. After phoning up a number of other offices one Saturday morning I came across Advanced DDS and thank god I did. Isabel answered the phone and was extremely helpful, kind and willing to hear my cries and immediately scheduled an appointment within the hour. When I arrived, I was treated with open arms, kind greetings and smiles all around. Isabel, who I had spoke to on the phone welcomed me and took me on a tour of the office. Wow! This place is gorgeous. Beautiful and vibrant glass plate photos lined the halls and she showed me around and went through all the services they offered. I was a bit scared when roaming the halls, because of how upscale this office was and I kept asking myself, "How can I afford this?". Isabel sat me down and explained how they do things and that they always explain the price and add-ons of extra options or procedures. This definitely put me at ease. I went in to see the doctor on time (I showed up early). She was gentle. Best dental experience I ever had. Defiantly the easiest and least anxiety driven. They told me what the price of each little procedure or what treatment i would want done. My issue was only minor but the help and services they provided eased up so much more of the mental pain also. Advanced DDS will treat you like an A-List celebrity and you will not regret it. After I was done I didn't want to leave I felt so safe there. They have been trying to scam me in paying a bill that they lied and told me my insurance covers. have been a patient of advanced DDS for a number of years and have really always been relatively unhappy with most of my experiences . They always made me feel like a money grab . There priority was how much could they bill you . I have had very painful cleanings I also had a filing where the clipped my cheek very bad and my face blew up. So no video work calls for a week. When I complained with numerous calls I got an oh well. They did not even offer anything for the pain and the embarrassment I felt after. The breaker is I had tooth pain last week I called the office and explained emergency visit needed. I got the let me see with the doctor . No call back or anything. I will be leaving Advanced DDS as a patient for many years. Although the dentists and hygenists are top notch, the services they provided are really for OUT OF POCKET INSURANCE. To repeat, no matter what they tell you, Advanced DDS is an out of network provider. Therefore they will always tell you they "accept" insurance but in reality they don't. Their prices are ridiculously overpriced. For example a periodontal cleaning plus exam is $313! Way too much money. There are much better dentists and on top of that IN NETWORK providers which charge way less do treatment. On top of that my mom had implants done by Dr. Raskin and I was never given my referral bonus even after several months. Her process was painful and she wished she went with her other dentist. She had to go back several times and even months now after it she wishes she didn't go through it. I had treatment for a gun graft. and yes the sedation dentistry is great but look out, the dentists there try to upsell you on services you don't need. I can't tell you how many times Dr. D'Orlando would keep telling me over and over again how I need to do this, that and the other thing. No you don't need braces (I had them already), you don't need constant money grabbing care when you are in good shape. He did a cavity filling for me and it turned out to be unnecessary really (it was so tiny that he barely could see it. He drilled a hole bigger just so he could fill it). He sees me for 2 minutes and always has his ego being self-congratulatory about a gum graft he did five plus years ago. Like give me a break man. I take good care of my teeth. He goes on and on about gum recession. Nah it's good my teeth and gums are in a great shape. Stop being a cars salesman. By the way you don't need to get an oral cancer screening unless you smoke and use chewing tobacco. Don't let them try to upsell you on this - again it's to make a profit. The billing department is atrocious. Jeff is rude and hostile and makes excuses when you are owed a refund. The front desk are incredibly incompetent. Due yourselves a favor - shop around and don't give this dentist any more money. You can do better elsewhere and i for one will be going somewhere else. Sedation density is offered elsewhere. Implants are offered elsewhere. Root canals, etc. you don't have to be ripped off to be treated well. I for one am done with this place. By the way, they send annoying emails begging for "positive" reviews for "sweepstakes contests." That's why you see them here. I do not ever recommend. read more

I'm not just a baby. I'm a BIG baby. But when I lost a crown and a few fillings I knew I had to put on my big-girl pants and call the dentist. My previous dental experiences have always been painful, bordering on traumatic. But I had seen commercials on TV for Advanced DDS so I decided to give them a try. And I am so glad I did! As soon as I walked into the office, I felt welcomed and reassured. All their safety measures for dealing with Covid-19 were in place. I was taken for my appointment right on time. (Seriously!! How often does that happen?!) and was lead in to meet Dr. Policastro and her assistant, Neha. Both of them were immediately reassuring. We spoke about my level of anxiety and how best to cope with it. With their patience being a key factor, we decided to proceed without Nitrous Oxide. Turns out, I didn't need it at all.  Dr. Policastro took time to explain the entire procedure to me before she started. (I hate surprises, don't you?) She went slowly, and with every step explained exactly what she was doing in real time. Within the first few minutes, my anxiety vanished. There was literally no pain involved. I am thrilled with the results, both cosmetically and technically. Even with the extensive work done, my "bite" feels natural and is very comfortable. Dr. Policastro and Neha could not have done a better job!  I highly recommend Advanced DDS for your dental needs. So disappointing, I've been coming here for years because of the service. Yesterday my temporary filling fell off for a tooth that's in the process of getting a crown for the root canal that was done. I got there at 9am after doing a 7:30p-8am shift (also going back for two more night shifts). Along with my $200+ copy they had the nerve to charge me $35 for PPE that the dentist wore. UNACCEPTABLE, I work in the hospital and I doubt we are charging for PPE!!! Smh read more

I recently went to Dr.Raskin for a cleaning and night guard. I have been a patient for many many years. Although hesitant at first about Covid, when I arrived at the office I was blown away by the Covid protection technology in the office. Dr. Raskin and his entire staff are not only extraordinary in their knowledge and skills but Dr. Raskin has gone above board in making sure his patients are safe. I was completely relaxed during my cleaning with Michelle and Dr. D did an amazing job on my night guard. This office is not only state of the art, but provides incredible care for its patients. BEWARE they are thieves! Called 3 times and was told they are in network and that my dental work is covered at 100%. Afterwards get a bill for almost $400 and the story changes. Now they are NOT in network and the insurance has a maximum they pay and so I'm responsible for anything insurance doesn't pay. They KNOW thats the case since they work with insurances everyday. They just want your money and so they tell you anything to get you in the office and then charge astronomically high prices for everything. They're thieves! read more

After changing dentists many times I am so glad that I found Advanced DDS. I was of course apprehensive when I came in for the first time but that quickly passed with the friendliness and professionalism of their staff. I was given a tour and really was made to feel so comfortable especially with the cleanliness of their facility. The hygienist Michelle has been so gentle and thorough each time I have seen her. Dr D has been my dentist and is amazingly caring and comforting - not white knuckling anymore. I had a question about insurance and Jessica helped me. I have never encountered a medical biller like her. She knew how to submit my claims so that I receive the most reimbursement and was so courteous. Absolutely NOT the place for people with fear of dentist!! I haven't been to dentist in 15 yrs. due to my extreme fear. I cracked my tooth on a Tuesday and began researching places. This place raves about how great they are for patients with fear so i gave it a try. I was even willing to wait 4 days to be seen because I thought it was a good fit. The team reached out at least 5 times by email n text before my visit to have me fill out paperwork, give instructions etc. I asked questions about the process , my insurance and was assured Id be fine They told me to arrive at 12:30 for a 1pm appt. becuz i was a new patient. i took a day off from work and had to sych myself up over 3 nights of no sleep for the appointment due to my fear. I entered the office exactly at 12:30 only to be told your very early. I was immediately asked for ID and insurance and handed a print out before even being seen that showed I owed $300. I asked why and was told my insurance is out of net and therefore i need to pay up front. I don't know about u but $300 isn't something i have laying around. I need to budget and plan for an expense of that size. I asked why noone thought to tell me this in all of the convos we had leading up to my appt? I also asked why it was $300 when Im just getting looked at n possibly xrays? They said thats what it costs.. i see adds all the time for over 1/2 even a 1.3 of that price for evaluation. My thing is that you know im a fearful patient and I spoke with u several times b4 the appt and I took vacation day from work to be here. There has to be some compromise you can offerr but no I'm told all she can do is reschedule me???!! This office needs to do better and not boast they specialize in fearful patients when what they do is play on your fears figuring you will just pay the outlandish fees in the moment of surprise... read more

I can't say enough about my experience here!! From Isabelle who navigated my check in, to Dr. D'Orlando and his team, the welcoming feel of the staff and the environment is simply phenomenal!! As a fearful patient, it is difficult to seek out dental care however I always feel comfortable at Advanced DDS. The office and the staff are accommodating and not intimidating, at all (and there's always the option of sedation). The office space is modern and very much like a "medical boutique". They consider the little things, like a hook for purses and bags, and lavender hot towels at the end of the service. I am so thankful for Dr. D'Orlando!!! read more

FULL DISCLOSURE: I actually went to high school with Dr. Raskin and after seeing his ads on television, I decided to give them a call and arrange an appointment. I have seen a handful of dentists over the years adn have not really been totally satisfied and felt it was time for a change. The entire process, from my initial phone call to the appointment and the follow up was a truly unique and positive experience. Not only did they txt me to remind me for follow ups but when you get to the office there is virtually no paperwork, just about everything is done on a computer. The first thing that impressed me was the staff. After speaking with reception I was invited to a tour of the office. At first I thought "why do I need a tour of a dental office?" But after taking a tour with Haley I now understand. This one of the most complete, professional and state-of-the-art dentist office I have ever seen. From their in-house dental lab, 3D imaging and even an in-house water treatment system, they have thought of everything. I was truly impresssed. read more

I feel so fortunate to have found advanced DDS. They go above and beyond my expectations everytime. They're A++++ 100% of the time whether its for a cleaning or crown. Love Dr. Raskin, Roxanna, the entire crew! Im so happy to have found my forever dentist. They are pricey, but I'd rather pay more toward something like my oral care & feel confident that the right job is getting done. I take my daughter here even though she has 100% paid coverage elsewhere. Advanced DDS now has a new childrens membership plan which is so affordable, i feel its less expensive than other dentist's out of pocket charges for childrens cleanings.
