To start off I am terrified of the dentist. Like I will have a full on anxiety attack in the midst of a procedure. Being that I avoided going to the dentist for quite sometime I ended up needing a root canal as I had an abscessed tooth with cellulitis and a lot lot of pain. Dr. Gottlieb was great. Seeing that I was very very anxious and screaming she calmed me down and made sure that everything was done perfectly. I am now two days post root canal and already feel 1000% better. Dr. Gottlieb is a true gem. She has a level of class and professionalism that is unparalleled and ensured a very high quality of work. I returned to east coat because a root canal that was preformed by them last year was giving me trouble. They took me right in and sat me down for a 3-D scan followed by a normal X-ray because the "doctor likes to have both" I was then told I need the tooth pulled to be done by my dentist not them. I went to check out and was told my fee was $345 for the 3D scan and office visit. I was NEVER told that the scan would be so much money BEFORE having the scan, I was shocked and then paid in full. A month later they charged my card and additional $47 with out telling me because that was only "an estimate" another thing I was never told, and insurance didn't pay for all of it. That is surprise billing at its finest and I am disgusted by their actions and will NEVER return to this office again. read more

I was sent in by my dentist for an emergency root canal. I was in extreme pain and I was so scared. Dr. Gottlieb and the dental nurse were so amazing and welcoming. The kind ladies at the front desk were also very sweet. I was super scared to get my first root canal, but the nurse made me feel so relaxed and comfortable as soon as I walked in (she also gave me a blanket cause it was super cold!). Dr. Gottlieb was very thorough about what a root canal was, what she would be doing, and how I would feel (what I was most nervous about). I was in and out within 40 minutes! She was very gentle, sweet and most importantly professional and knew what she was doing! Will go back to only this place if I need to! read more

After 2 years of tooth pain from a root canal and a bridge, and countless return visits to my regular dentist who could not find the problem, Dr Harris diagnosed the cause, presented a treatment plan and saved the tooth. I am beyond grateful, and so impressed with everything about Dr Harris and his stall. My appointment was painless, his assistant Dora was very competent and considerate, and the check in staff, Lauren and Lindsay were wonderful. East Coast Endodontics is the only place that I will EVER go to for any of my root canal needs! The receptionists are so sincere and welcoming, making you feel like you're at home; the dental assistants are so sweet and helpful; and Dr. Feldman & Dr Chugerman are the best at what they do. I was so anxious my first time there but being in the room for 5 minutes was all it took for them to assure me everything was going to be okay and it was more than okay. Clearly +++++ Professional relationships begins with the first phone call to any facility......this was a perfect start on a Friday morning the weekend of New Year's Eve during a holiday week when I was received in total comfort and friendly professional by Lynda the receptionist / office manager at the time. An accommodating appointment was scheduled on an emergency basis due to extreme acute molar pain. My General dentist of 25+ years directly referred me to this practice without any hesitation and my story proves why. I arrived at our scheduled time to be greeted by Lynda and simply fill out some basic medical past history forms in a very comfortable living room like waiting area that allowed for one to see into the facility displaying how open air, clean and modern everything looked. The waiting area had fresh healthy snacks and an assortment of beverages, if needed complimentary for both myself and my wife and small dog (yes, I said dog) , who waited for me during the procedure. I was immediately escorted into my operatory room by Helse who quickly made me feel at home with smiles and repeatedly asking me if there was anything I need to make me more comfortable. This was another positive human feeling that elevated my confidence again. Dr. Feldman, who I know personally was not in that day (yesterday) but he personally called me to assure me that Dr. Evan Chugerman was top notch. A quick review displayed that Dr. C as is Dr. F are graduates of The University of Pennsylvania Dental School which I personally know to be top notch, as I have attended many seminars at U. Penn Veterinary school together with week long courses in executive leadership at The Wharton School of Business at U. Penn. Dr. C walked into the room and greeted me with a friendly family like touch and started our encounter with saying "we will make you feel better", very reassuring at this point that I had severe pain for the past 24-48 hours. The diagnostics phase took place and Dr. Chugerman kindly gave me my options without any pressure and even allowed for me to consult with Dr. Larry Gottesman (my general dentist mentioned previously) via phone without any feeling of being 2nd guested, in fact (at this point in a first name basis), Evan even encouraged the phone call to simply add to my comfort and satisfaction. We all agreed to save the tooth and proceeded with the dental surgical procedure. Nitrous oxide gas was offered and gladly accepted along with several painless local injections. All the while Helse, the dental assistant being supportive to Evan and me simultaneously. Midway through the procedure I asked if my wife and 6lb Maltese, Lacey can pop in the see that I am fine and smiling. They escorted my wife, Karen and Lacey into the room and offered for them to sit down at the far end of the room. A few jokes canine went back and forth and the procedure continued. Dr. Evan asked me if I would like step by step explanations and my wife answered for me that I always like full details of everything, as she would know being married 40+ years. I assured my wife and Lacey that I feel nothing at all and cannot wait for dinner. Dr. Evan moved a sophisticated Zeiss high powered microscope into the surgical field to visualize the canal in a magnetized manner to double check the outcome of the procedure. I am home today with miminmal discomfort on antibiotics and Tylenol and can easily do anything I want included eat. I reveiewed all post-op procedures and follow-up appts and secretly took a healthy granola bar in my pocket for later that evening......lol.....shhhhhh along with a tea Snapple. PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY, CLEAN, STATE OF THE ART, MODERN, COURTESOUS, CARING, HIGH TECH, GREAT STAFF, AND I AM NOT GETTING PAID FOR THIS REVIEW!!!! Ok so first off, I am terrified of the dentist, I mean borderline, phobia. Anyways during one of the blizzards we just had, I had horrendous tooth pain. I was recommended by a dentist to just go straight here. They gave me an appointment immediately and my luck I needed to get a root canal. I can't tell you about pricing bc i never needed or had one. But for me it was well worth the price. My Doctor was Dr.Rebecca Gottlieb! I looooved her, she explained every detail and what would happen. When it came to the Novocain she accurately told me the pain and how long it would take, I obviously took the Nitrous, and I felt so calm. I had earphones and I listened to my own music with sunglasses so I could pass out and relax. Which i actually did! Not that i would ever want to get a root canal again but if i did, I would absolutely go again to this place and especially to Dr. Rebecca Gottlieb! read more
