I've been putting off getting my wisdom teeth pulled for a couple of years now. A friend recommended this place to me and I am so grateful that she did! They were wonderful from start to finish! The receptionists were lovely and efficient. Dr. Fleischman was amazing. He was kind and explained everything to me. I didn't really want to be put to sleep and he assured me I would be fine with just numbing. He extracted three wisdom teeth in what felt like 5 minutes (some were impacted), and it was TOTALLY fine, I felt nothing. I was shocked! Every one from the receptionists to the nurses were kind and efficient. Throughout my recovery I had a couple of standard issues (pain meds made me nauseous, ringing in the ears/headaches) When I called the office the receptionists were so kind and helpful, they even called me back a few hours later to check in on me. This is not always the case, and I really appreciated how communicative and kind they were. When I went back for my follow-up appointment I was in and out of the office in 5 minutes. My oral surgeon has been Dr. Jason Kneller. So most of my kudos are for him, but the entire staff (in Massapequa as well as Plainview) is cordial, friendly, competent and accommodating. Both offices are comfortable, very contemporary and ultra-clean. I don't think I've ever been to any medical office that is more spic & span than the Leading Edge office in Massapequa. (Ditto for the Plainview office -- except the Massapequa office covers a lot more square area, I'm pretty sure). Dr. Kneller has worked on new implants for me and, a few years ago, my wife. We both agree: he's the best! Very friendly and easy-going but also meticulous and thorough, knowledgeable and down to earth, not a big ego guy! A true pro who's a tribute to his profession! Dr. Kneller was my doctor for 3 wisdom teeth extractions. I went in very nervous on the day of my procedure and that all went away when Dr. Kneller reassured me that all was going to go great, which it did. I use Geller Dental Group, and they partner with Massapequa Oral and Implant Surgery. First, Geller Dental Group is great. They said I needed a tooth removed due to bone loss (getting older sucks, but, the alternative is worse). Geller Dental group had to reschedule as the surgeon from Massapequa Oral and Implant Surgery had a stomach virus, and this was early in the morning. Robin from Dr. Geller's office was able to arrange for me to see an alternate surgeon from Massapequa Oral and Implant Surgery, so, no.1, kudos to Robin and Dr. Geller's office. I was assigned to Dr. Bacigalupo. He was great. He first looked, and said the tooth could not be saved. I get sick from sweet air, and because of sleep apnea, I am not a great candidate for anesthesia, so Novocain was the only choice. Dr. Bacigalupo also did the bone graft in anticipation of a dental implant, which will be done in August. No one is a fan of dentistry, but, I strive to keep my teeth healthy as that is one of the most important things you can do for yourself. The extraction was done with a feeling of some pressure, but, thankfully, no pain. Of course, I was swollen and sore after the surgery, which was to be expected, and 3 days after, I still have some discomfort that is aided by prescription strength Ibuprofen, which has kept the discomfort under control . What I was most impressed about is that evening, Dr. Bacigalupo called me to see how I was feeling, and the day after, his assistant from the office called to check in to see how I felt. That is great bedside manner, and the team from Massapequa Oral and Dental Implant are to be commended. I would give them 10 stars if such a rating existed. read more

My husband needed two implants, and we were referred to Dr. Jurman. How lucky! The office is very modern, the staff is friendly and very professional. And Dr. Jurman could not be nicer! He explained every detail, and answered all our questions. He made sure we were comfortable before making the next appointment. On the second visit, all fees were explained, and financing options were offered. The extraction and implants were relatively painless (opted for just Novacaine). I had extreme apprehension about coming in to get my extraction. While the reviews for the office staff were high, the reviews for the oral surgeon that I was being assigned to were not. I want to start out by saying that whatever has been posted about Dr. Rosenberg is absolutely not even a close reflection of the experience that I had in her care. She came in with a warm personality from the jump, reviewed and discussed what my referring doctor put in his notes, confirmed it again with me, and then proceeded to examine me as well. Her demeanor was patient, kind, and caring throughout my time in the office, and she even began to discuss my options going forward. The office staff here is AMAZING, and it was one of the best dental experiences that I have ever had. Everyone from the front desk to the assistants were so helpful and welcoming. Had an extraction done here in mid September, '21. These guys are great and made me feel at ease. The procedure, aided by Novocaine and a little Sweet Air was painless and took about 20 minutes. I had Dr. Jason Kneller, a fantastic young man and great personality. He explained everything he was going to do and then explained post operative procedures. I was duly impressed. My wisdom teeth were impacted. I woke up and it looked like I had a golf ball in my cheek. I needed to see an oral surgeon right away so I went to Massapequa Oral and Implant Surgery. I was in so much pain, but the staff made me feel better from the second I walked in. Cathy C. was the nurse assisting the doctor and she was amazing. She kept checking to make sure I was ok. I also had to get anesthesia and I was very nervous. Cathy C. was there when I went under and there when I woke back up. She made me feel very comfortable the entire time. Went there to get a tooth pulled, not only were they rough as hell they left me in pain and when I told them they said they would give a prescription for the pain. Called the office 3 times, first they said they would have it called in, nothing 2nd and 3rd no one could get a hold of any doctors. Obviously they don't care about you after they get their money! read more

I brought my 10 year old son here today. First of all, the facility is so clean! The front desk person was very friendly and checked us in quickly. We waited about 15 minutes and my son was seen by the doctor, who was amazing. He made my son feel comfortable and explained the procedure(extraction) to both of us, which relaxed my son. When the extraction was over, they were kind and comforting to my little man, as this was his first dental procedure and he did not know what to expect. A staff member helped me get my son in my car and everything. I would highly recommend this place. read more

Service is great but I hated waiting . Long wait time ! Doctors are nice but waiting room just doesn't cut it for people . Should be a bit organized when scheduling different appointments . This entire office is great. I ended up here as an emergency on a Saturday when another oral surgeon in Massapequa didn't like my insurance. (Empire Blue Cross....really??) Dr. Jurman and Dr. Kneller were both phenomenal. Not only did they squeeze me in immediately on that same day when I explained my pain, but everything about the way the office was run was just efficient, friendly and quick. Even all of the staff there are great from Sam at the front desk, Lucresha in billing, to every other one of the girls that assist the Drs. They made me feel comfortable and even worked with me on the fees, (which were a lot less than other places.) I've since had to go back several times since my first experience with them a year or 2 ago because I've had other teeth pulled that I needed out and also a sinus lift. Every single time I've been in there it's always been smooth and positive. I've never had to wait more than a couple minutes and the staff all remembered me and asked how I was. Each conversation I've had with all the Drs there were also great because they never rushed me, answered all my hypochondriac questions and, most importantly, never let me feel any pain. They even have this cryogen-like spray that they use before they use any needles so you feel nothing at all. It's amazing. I don't hope to spend a lot more time in any oral surgeon's office, but if I do, it's definitely going to continue being here! read more

the oral surgeons are great. 5 for them. the front desk staff are horrible. corona has had people like my husband more anxious and they gave us no directions about how to come to the office. do we call or come in? can my wife come? i'm getting anesthesia how will u contact my wife when i'm done?." when we asked she looked at me like i was insane that I even asked question. they then took their time checking him in so that he got passed by another girl who came after for a room to get started. they have been nothing but rude today and i wish they liked their jobs. my poor husband is now waiting for his procedure that was supposed to be 30 mins ago and he has been in pain for a week waiting for this appt. read more

My child has 4 impacted wisdom teeth and has been in pain for months. Trying to find an oral surgery office that takes her insurance is hard so I was thrilled to find that they did. My daughter was born with brain damage, CP & Spastic Diplegia. She doesn't understand a lot of life's dilemmas and is non compliant most days. We had to reschedule a couple of consult appointments. When we did finally make it to the consult, the dentist told me the pain wasn't coming from her mouth because he looked in it and didn't see any infection.... Moran! Clearly the X-ray showed she needed them out. After him telling me he had to extract 5 teeth (which I of coarse said no to, just the wisdom teeth) they set up a surgical appointment for 730am. Which is insane but they said it's the only time they could do it. Honestly that made no sense to me because they're oral surgeons & that's what they do all damn day! Meanwhile it takes us at least an hour of not longer to get there. Subsequently with traffic we missed the appointment time. (I don't control the traffic on the SS) I've called and tried to bag them for another appointment & they refused to see her. SADIST! Then they tried to send me a bill. Honestly my poor daughter is is severe pain and I have to wonder with the multi million dollar practice they have, did us missing the appointment have an impact on them or maybe they could of understood that my child has problems. Maybe they just didn't want to see her because she's Disabled. Perhaps people like them should be blessed with a disability to help enlighten them and learn compassion. My child, with her 50 IQ has more compassion then that whole office put together. read more

Not sure why there are no reviews. I guess nobody reviews oral surgeons on Yelp. I have a friend that works here and she was able to get me an emergency appointment this morning. Despite all that, the care I received here was phenomenal. Thr paperwork wasn't too much like other places, the X Ray was quick, they put me in a room right away and did their necessary tests, I told them I wanted the tooth pulled. Before I knew it I was getting the anaesthesia and I woke up not too much later pain free. Been pain free all day and I am so thankful for the staff here. Absolutely 5 stars all around. read more

Had two wisdom teeth extrscted. Upon entering the office, you are met with a clean modern environment. The office personnel are friendly and knowledgeable. Today I saw Dr Tracey Rosenberg at Massapequa Oral for a consult. I must say that I had the worst visit ever!!! First off she was complaining to her assistant about a meeting that she was late for during my visit which I thought was very rude. When she asked to see my x-rays on my phone she grabbed the phone out of my hand before I could pull up the pictures and proceeded to email it to the office without even asking me permission to do so. When we started to discuss my options she was abrupt, arrogant and downright nasty! Obviously I knew she was rushing me out of there. Basically I left the office in tears! When I got home I called my daughter and told her what had happened at my visit and she said that she had the same experience when she saw Dr Rosenberg. My sister is a dental hygienist and has heard several patients complain about her. I will NEVER make an appointment with her ever again. read more

I had a horrific and awful experience with this office. I had 3 wisdom teeth out. I experience severe discomfort and pain for extended amount of time. I went back to follow up multiple times because the pain wasn't getting better. Each time they said I was just healing slowly. Finally, 5 weeks after the removal I went back AGAIN because I was still in severe pain and my gums were swollen. Turned out I had an infection that needed a procedure to remove the clot and scrap the inside of the socket to the bone. It was an awful procedure and very uncomfortable. Another round of antibiotics and multiple follow up visits in order to treat this infection. They scheduled my post op appt for first thing this morning at 8:45, only when I got there the secretary told me the doctors aren't coming in until 10:00 and I must have been wrongly scheduled. This means I had reschedule and get ANOTHER babysitter for later in the day and lose an entire day to his office's negligence. Terrible terrible experience. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more
