They literally towed my car away. Tried to blame the business I parked at but the employees let me know they didn't call to tow any vehicles that they stay there patrolling the area towing anyones car! I understand that it is private property but by California law they are only allowed to tow after an hour which I wasn't there for more than 58 minutes ! Great thing about today's technology I have all of my time stamps showing ! As well as the phone calls I made after which are all within the 1 hr mark of me exiting my vehicle and walking away! So again this was an UNLAWFUL tow and I will be taking them to small court claims and if anyone else was towed tonight by them send me a PM and we will take them down! I would leave ZERO stars if I could, because these sheisters don't deserve any. Why you ask? My car, needing towing to the dealership, was set to be towed with LB Towing taking charge for Toyota. Being at work, my 70 year old mother took charge of facilitating this. LB towing not only showed up HOURS after postponing their arrival time, they had the audacity to steal items from my trunk. An expensive flashlight and some other items, including an unopened package of sparkling water. Not only did they engage in theft, they scratched the hell out of my car - the roof of my trunk is positively littered with scratch marks ... like they placed the typical tow lights and then opened the truck to root through it and steal. So many issues. The address is for a completely different building (shown in my pictures). You stand at the gate and ring the doorbell and NO ONE answers. You can even call the number. NO ONE answers. I thought I was at the wrong location (I was on freeman) so I drove around and ended up coming back. I say in the car redialing and my friend screamed through the gate and someone finally came out. Then he just stood at the door. Lol We told them their phones aren't working. He said they were. I stood in front of him and called the number and their phone didn't ring. There was no accountability for anything. Just "you can talk to the owners". I only had to deal with them because my car was towed from my residence (which is a fight itself) and for them to charge a daily storage fee and their phones don't work??? I could have picked up the car last night but NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE and I left a voicemail and no one called me back. But you're open 24 hours??? No explanation of charges. I would give ZERO stars if I had the choice. They were contracted through a 3rd party vendor after I filed an insurance claim to tow my vehicle 3 miles from my house to a body shop during regular business hours. Instead of towing my car to the shop they decided to take my car to their storage lot where they kept it for 2 additional days so they could get the storage fees from my insurance company. On top of all of that they went through all of my belongings inside the car and stole personal items as well as my wallet that I left inside by mistake. My stolen credit card was then used at a local store multiple times. I have involved the police and Just want to warn others to stay away! read more

The tow truck drivers aren't properly trained: Jason spouted out 22658 subsection (h) but failed to comply with sub section (b) of the law as well as the first paragraph where it states that the rules of a community area must be displayed in clear and plain sight prior to even being able to hook up to a vehicle and tow it. It is also very unprofessional as well to not furnish the proper written documentation explaining prices, procedures, and policies of their company and its policies when asked to by a car to the owner requesting them which is also covered in 22658 requiring the responder to do so. My hope is that Long Beach Towing will provide some better training and furnish the drivers who are impounding vehicles to not bullying currently and using false pretenses to change Long Beach Towing's ways before one of their responders gets arrested and their tow truck removed from the premises by a competing tow company. read more

They schedule a tow truck and it said 95 mins and after 95 mins they never came so i called back and they said that it was never put in but i got a text message confirming it. I requested a 21 mile tow, the ladies on the phone said I would only be covered for the first 15 miles and would have to pay the remainder totaling an additional $60. Upon asking why I would be charged they quickly told me to "find another provider" and hung up. I called back to ask a couple more questions, AND THEY HUNG UP ON ME AGAIN! A quick call to AllState confirmed that I should be covered for the full amount and NOT have to pay any extra money! My benefits are more than enough to cover the total cost of the tow. Horrible man wouldn't release my car even though I made it in time without him leaving the parking lot. I was bawling my eyes out and he said there was nothing he could do, that police were notified. But there were two cars parked in the same area yet they were not getting towed?! How is it my car was the only one getting towed and apparently I was the only one reported? He made me pay $200 and claimed I would have pay over $400 at the lot. It would have cost him $0 for him to be a decent human being and to let go of my car. Sal Hasrup came out tonight and helped me with my 2018 Honda Accord and he was so super friendly!!! He gave me recommendations on which tire I should look for to avoid any issues I should have in the future. He even noticed that all the tires were loose which is possibly a factory defect. He didn't need to go the extra mile. He could have changed the tire and left but he didn't. He made conversation and told me a little about his night with his wife at church which helped get my mind off of being so upset over getting this flat. It's so nice to meet good people. Your drivers can not town when there is no proper signage even on private property in the city of Long Beach. Having your drivers then meet someone on the side of street with their car on the truck, take cash and teel us "try to take us to small claims" and o only a cash transaction that has fees of (195 for tow, 75 for extra labor, 97 for gate fee, 55 for storage) I'm not even sure that car even make it anywhere but a few blocks away while the driver had breakfast. He refused to give me his insurance information, but advised me I could call their office for it. When I called their office for it, they hung up on me. I contacted my roadside assistance program with Nissan and got a text message referencing this company at 4:24pm with and ETA of 5:05pm. At 4:51pm I received an automated call stating the tow truck was on its way and would arrive in 15 minutes. At 5:10pm I called the company the company to get the status of the tow truck and the lady was very rude. She asked me what address I provided and I informed her that the person from Nissan found the address to Costco (where I was) themselves I don't know the what address they gave. She said so you don't know where you are? I said of course I know where I am but that wasn't your original question. I gave her the cross streets and she asked me to hold. She came back on the phone then told me the driver is running late and should arrive in 20-25 minutes. I called Nissan 5:24pm and the representative called the towing company herself. I was on hold for 6 minutes and the representative informed me the company told her that they were five miles away and would be here in 20-25 minutes. That was the situation 20 minutes ago! The driver arrived at about 5:40pm and was really nice. I am just irritated because what is the purpose of having my phone number on record for updates if I don't even get text from the contracted company? read more

Ive had 2 different experiences here, one on the weekend and one during the week. I reserved a uhaul van and came and picked it no problem. Darla helped extend my reservation time and get the equipment i needed. She was very thorough. The next day i decided to extend the rental again. So I came back with the truck, and only one mgr was working. She was more focused on her tow truck drivers and hurried me out. I ended up keeping the van for the extra day. I wish I could give this "business" negative stars. They are the worst! I'd bet money that their dispatcher, Melissa, is one of Satan's minions. She's 100% pure evil concentrate. Melissa shouldn't be dealing with other breathing beings for a living, that's fairly certain. She should be employed somewhere with no contact to the outside world; assembling zippers or something. With the lousy attitudes of Melissa and the shady driver, I would suggest you find another means of towing your vehicle, even if that means tying the car to your back and carrying it yourself. The 1 star goes to the friendly truck driver. I had to get my car towed 2 days in a row due to engine problems. The first evening was by Long Beach Towing & Storage.This place is very expensive. They charge a "hook up" fee which apparantly goes towards connecting your vehicle to the truck bed. My insurance covers $75 worth of towing costs which apparantly, in this case, ended up being the hook up fee + 2 miles. They then charge $10 a mile after that. I paid $95 to go 11 miles. At first I thought that was normal until the next day i needed to get towed 9 miles, and paid nothing! The insurance coverage of $75 covered the entire 9 miles plus any "hook up" charges they may have had. When i called Long Beach Towing just to verify the charges, the man that answered the phone would barely let me speak. he kept cutting me off asking questions rather than let me explain my issue. Eventually he took my phone number to call me back to answer my questions, and 36 hours later I am yet to hear anything back. read more

It is 11:35am. I have called back so many times. Each time 15 mins more. Then they told me they sent the wrong truck. Then they said they were on the opposite side of the 405 fwy and said 1-2 mins. I got my keys locked in the trunk of my car and needed to have my car towed to the dealer (so they could get my car out of security mode) so VW said these guys would be come at 3:45 (45 minute wait). At 4 pm when they still weren't at my location so I called VW back and they said that LB Towing and Storage was calling to cancel the service because they couldn't get someone to my location (Lakewood Mall). I was set up with this horrible company through USAA Insurance. I received an automated text message stating the ETA for this company would be in one hour. I then received a follow automated phone call 15 minutes later indicating the arrival time would be in 45 minutes. After waiting another hour I called the tow company directly and was told it would be an additional hour. When I informed the receptionist I had already been waiting over an hour since I got the first ETA she got extremely rude and hung up the phone. I called back and asked if she had hung up on me she confirmed that she had. I of course hung up on her and made other arrangements to have the car transferred. I have made an official complaint with the company that dispatches for USAA and can only hope that they will lose the contract. They took FOREVER to arrive, then they tried to DOUBLE CHARGE me on the tow (they claimed that the tow driver had to wait because we weren't on the scene when he arrived, but is a lie because we were waiting for an hour and half and were there when he arrived), then after I got them to remove the second fraudulent tow charge, I was getting ready to pay all of the remaining storage fees and such... and I noticed that they were charging me another $140 for the original tow, but I showed them that I had ALREADY PAID the initial tow charge (I had the receipt!!!) and in response to me showing them definitive proof that I was being overcharged $140... they just CHANGED THE FEES I WAS BEING CHARGED to remove the $140 and ADD $200! I had an issue with my keyless entry, and called Toyota Care to get my car towed to a local dealership. Foxtrot, from Long Beach Towing, showed up about 15-20 minutes earlier than the quoted ETA. He got my car open and fixed the issue without having to tow me to a dealership (on a Sunday) within minutes. I was completely blown away by the level of service I received. Having your vehicle break down and needing a tow is a drag for anyone. Having your vehicle break down, on a holiday weekend, in the rain, in the middle of a busy street, and having your dog with you, and needing a tow, could have really sucked but thanks to LB Tow and specifically Junior, our potentially epic and really sucky evening wasn't so bad after all. After having a somewhat frustrating talk with the road service operator at Better World, and then looking on Yelp to see how LB Towing & Storage rated, we weren't expecting stellar service. The Better World guy said it would be 55 minutes, and this was after my husband's 15 minute conversation where he had to repeat himself several times to the BW guy. Ugh. Junior from LB Tow showed up pretty quickly - within 30 minutes, actually. He was quick and friendly and even allowed us to bring our dog in the cab of his truck with us and hold him on our laps. Whew. I had been texting friends to see if someone could come pick me up and bring my dog and I home, because I was sure we would not have been able to bring our dog with us in the tow truck -- and I was not about to let him ride in our vehicle on the flat bed. Our little neurotic canine child would have surely vetoed all car rides from there on out! Anyway, it's a shame so many people have had negative experiences with LB Towing and Storage. Our experience last night was the best possible towing experience: the driver arrived before the estimated time, was quick, was very helpful and friendly, his truck was clean and tidy, and he was kind enough to allow our dog up there with us.
