Niki enthusiastically provided information and details of each wine as she poured. I appreciated her honest insights and opinions of Willamette Valley wines and of various types of wines in general. She really made the tasting experience both fun and educational. The relaxed atmosphere of this place was perfect for sipping wine. I ended up leaving with a bottle of 2021 Tualatin Estate Pinot Noir which was my favorite of the ones I sampled.

While I've already ordered a few, my shipment came the day before I left for Oregon and with this varietal coming from the Milton-Freewater AVA, I had to get it now! It was everything and more. Yum! Back to the tasting room... The vibe is chill and there's enough room in here for a few different sized parties. They have some great wine! And cool trinkets, oils and such. I could not take my eyes off the stunning view. Sunset was just stunning. They have a great selection of wines. We opted for bottle services, Pinot Rośe being one of the selections and it paired very well with the stunning view. We bought few bottles to bring home. You can see some wild life while watching the sunset and they are harmless. Staff here are awesome and extremely friendly. So glad we found this vineyard and it was worth the 45min drive from Portland.

My wife and I saw a two-piece band setting up for their performance through the window, and decided to pop in for a glass (or two) and some live entertainment. We were warmly welcomed into this classy (seeminly family run) little space, ordered a chardonnay (I didn't catch the name), Rose of Tempranillo (which my wife liked so much, she ordered one for herself afterward), and the Gewurstraminer (which ended up being my favorite). All the while, we were engaged and entertained by the two members of the band, who were amused by our toddler's sons utter fascination with them and their music. Big thanks to both of them, and the owners of Pinot Vista, for allowing and taking pleasure in our son's wanderings and exploration! He was enraptured! Such a relaxing environment, couple with some wonderful wine, beautiful music, and spending time with family without any responsibilities or expectations, is the perfect way to spend a Saturday evening, and I can't imagine many better places in McMinnville than here at Pinot Vista! We will definitely be back, the next time we find ourselves in town.

I ordered a flight tasting and my husband had a single glass of the Merlot. My flight was 6 wines a mix of wine/red. Tasting waived with the purchase of two bottles. We also ordered the Mediterranean charcuterie board-delicious! Really enjoyed the wine bought a red and white and our time spent there. I learned their winery is in WA along the Columbia River. The one I liked best was marked down from a high price to a not quite as high price. There was a tasting fee which is waived with a $100+ purchase. One friend bought a glass of Cabernet (not being tasted) instead of tasting and was happy with it.

It seemed his goal was to just give a "set piece." To move me in and out as fast as possible, even though the winery was rather unoccupied that day. He did warm up a bit when I ordered an extra bottle for the three of us to share, but when the other couple agreed to split the cost, he didn't split it (it was fully on my bill). The Sparkling Rose was really really good. I came from the midwest for a month, hoping to learn a lot from each winery (and I emailed each winery months ahead of time, expressing my goals), and I visited 15+ wineries in that time. This was the second most disappointing, and the most expensive. There are so many better options--go elsewhere. This was one of 5 wineries that I didn't join their club. I left feeling like I was surplus grapes, the third cluster that is cut off during flowering.
