This is a laid back tasting room with some delicious wine to choose from. This place was recommended to us from a friend and so my family stopped here on the way to the Oregon coast. We had a great time here, and while most the family does not drink a lot of wine, there was something for everyone here. The owner, David, greeted us as we walked in and sat us at the large table in this small tasting room. He sat with us for most of the tasting, describing the wines in detail, telling us the history, describing how the land around Oregon varies and how it impacts the wine. It was really interesting and he so helpful and open to answering all of our questions. You can tell how knowledgeable and passionate he is about his wines and he made our experience really unique. The wines themselves were great, and we left purchasing 2 bottles of the 5 wines we tried. While they have a variety of wines, their white wines, especially the Sauvignon Blanc and the Pinot Blanc, were phenomenal and I highly recommend. The tastings are really reasonably priced at $25 and their bottles were also well priced. The tasting room itself is very laid back and casual. It is decorated and feels as if you are just sitting in a relatives living room enjoying a glass of wine, so if you are looking for the instagram shot of a glass of wine over a vineyard during a sunset, this is not the place, but if you enjoy kicking back and enjoying solid wine in a more laid back setting with folks who care about their wines, then look no further! read more

Fox Farm Vineyards - Wine Bars Near Me - Dundee, Oregon

This is an adorable winery with excellent small batch wine. David has a passion for what he does and you can tell. A friend and I visited before we stopped by some local farms and we had our dogs with us. We did a tasting flight while the dogs played in the yard and snoozed. The wine was fantastic. I am not a big wine drinker and most tastings I walk away liking maybe only 1 but I loved 4 of the 5 we tasted and the other was good, just not my preference. They also had a taco truck on site for some lunch which was delicious. David walked us through each wine, explaining about the soils and climate in surrounding valleys and gave some good local recommendations for other wines as well. Would definitely visit again! read more

What a cool spot for a wine tasting in willamette! The wines are very reasonably priced and really good! The place is super cool with a lot of history! You also get to choose what music you want to listen to! :) Great wine, amazing service, insane prices for the wine you get! This is a must stop in willamette valley. read more

By far, this has been my favorite winery that I've every been to. David is the reason why. He's the owner and honestly he is delightful. He's from Vermont, not that it matters. The way that he talks about the wine is beautiful. It feels like having a conversation with an old family friend. Like he makes me want to be a member here & I'm not even from here. Oh and I tasted 6 wines & I'm not mad at any of them. They've been delicious. He makes small batch wine. He said his entire operation is about 5 acres. Most important to me is his passion & love for what he's doing. read more

Fox Farm Vineyards - 2018 reserve pinor noir - Wine Bars Near Me - Dundee, Oregon

Not much atmosphere but good wine and a comfortable place to enjoy good wine. David is honest and is a good conversationalist and very willing to give recommendations for other wineries or restaurants. We had the 2017 Pinot Noir and all of us enjoyed it. It was light but not to light. read more

We had a delightful tasting in the backyard of FoxFarms. As of July, they were doing some indoor tastings with a few spaced out tables but the fresh air under the bright sun was preferable. The wines were all great, and Fox Farm wine typically has similar labels but don't write off the ones that are different or related! One of the best was the Main et Coeur, but I'm also thinking of Kitsune. They are outstanding, and their labels help them stand out for good reason! Next time I return I want to play on their piano! read more

David answered our phone! He said they were open and could take our group of 6! He asked if we want him to go a little nerd on us or a lot of nerd. We said bring on the wine info. He was funny, knowledgeable, and kind. His wine is awesome, especially the '22 Pinot Gris & the '18 Dundee Hills Reserve Pinot Noir. We bought both in bottles! We also got to pick our background music. Lastly, he sold us truffle mushrooms! Amazing aroma! This place was a hit! The wine prices are right, too! read more

Fox Farm Vineyards - Syrah! - Wine Bars Near Me - Dundee, Oregon

Best winery on the Oregon Coast! Yelp could not find the Depoe Bay tasting room, but let me tell you it's the best tasting room, hands down, that I have found anywhere on the Oregon coast. First off the wines are great. Better yet, there is more to choose from than just Pinot Noir. Both Pinots are great but there is also a Grenache and a Syrah! Then for fun, an extra table red! ALL for a $5 tasting fee! It is right down town Depoe Bay. So before or after, you can also go across the street and spot a whale or two from the sidewalk! Whether you are in Lincoln City or Newport, it's worth the drive for some good wine and a great view, read more

Fox Farm Vineyards - Wine Bars Near Me - Dundee, Oregon

First of the service was great, Daniel was friendly and helped with finding great places to eat nearby. We came through Harvest Host where you come in with a travel trailer to stay overnight. It says Fox Farm Vineyard but there is no Vineyard in sight! There is a small area behind a dated building with no curb appeal nor any landscaping. Their entry is full of dust from traffic, the back yard is unkept as well with no ambiance. Behind the camp spot is a train track. It worked for a quick overnight stay but, no, we will not be coming back here again, there are many better options available. read more

The perfect little taproom! This place is right off the main road. It doesn't look like much but the owner makes it. David was very friendly, offering us recommendations during our trip and even offering to take a photo of us outside. He's very knowledgeable about wine. This place is also open a bit later than everywhere else in Dundee. read more

We enjoyed a relaxing thanksgiving afternoon tasting their wines and enjoying a glass of the favorites. The owner welcomed us upon arrival and we received a delightful lesson on his wines. We loved the Ghost Hill rose he was showcasing, since he'd run out of his own rose. The first Pinot noir (the Weber) was divine and that was my choice for a glass to enjoy. I loved the Grenache as well. Such a delicious wine with delicious flavor. The tasting room is charming on the inside, with a welcoming back patio perfect for the warmer months! Highly recommended! Well worth the visit! read more

Stopped in for a tasting on a Tuesday afternoon. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming - a group was playing cards in the front table. David was knowledgeable and walked me through all of the wines on the tasting menu cracking jokes and making me feel right at home. His winemaking style (the same across all pinots he produces) really allows the terroir to shine. The best wine in my opinion is the Reserve from the Weber vineyard - incidentally it's also the most expensive, but still a bargain compared to others I tasted that day. I had to limit myself in purchasing to fly home with just 1 case of wine total (it's too hot to ground ship to TX right now) so I only bought 2 bottles. Tasting fees waived with 2 bottle purchase. They are open late (until 7 I think) which is unique for the area. read more

Fox Farms was the most pleasant wine tasting experience me and my girlfriend have ever had. It was very personal and he even let us pick the music that was playing inside. We told him the kind of wine we liked and some things we wanted to try and he gave us amazing recommendations. We went home with a bottle from fox farms and a memorable experience. read more

We visited several wineries in Oregon over the past few years and Fox Farm Vineyards has now taken the lead as my favorite. We recently stopped by to pick up a few bottles at the recommendation of local family, but we arrived before the posted open hours. However, after peeking inside the open door, David invited us in for a tasting. We loved the comfortable, unpretentious space, the educational information and most importantly the best wines in the area. The tasting is truly just a splash, but enough to know we wanted to bring some home. The tasting is worth it at only $15 which is waived with the purchase of two bottles. We ended up bringing home a couple bottles each of the pino gris, the pino noir reserve and the rose, Kitsune. If I was a local, this would be my wine bar to stop in for a glass and relaxed conversation. The light fruity pino gris is perfectly refreshing for day drinking. The Kitsune is so good, we polished off both bottles with the family the same night. The pino noir is the perfect accompaniment to our charcuterie board. Maybe I love these wines even more because I cannot get them just anywhere. Cannot wait to return to the area and stock up again though. read more

My wife and I escaped Portland for a weekend away. We filled our time with wine tastings from all around but this was by far our favorite. We stopped into the tasting room at Depoe Bay...and we walked out lovers of these wines. Literally everything we tasted was great. It was hard not to buy all the wines. Also the man in charge of the tastings was great. He knew tons about the wines and he has super friendly. He helped make the whole experience a delight. I can't wait to check out the Dundee locations!!! read more

Run thru a flight for 30 bucks for two people, but you'll get great first hand serving and knowledge of the process and backgrounds. Smaller location focuses on meeting the needs of smaller tastings and elegance. Nice layout. Very clean. You won't really see this particular wine on the shelves anywhere because they have most their sales in Cali and Vegas. Pinot Noir is some of the best I've ever tasted. read more

Can't say enough positive things about Fox Farm. The staff is always so welcoming and educational, the wines are truly amazing and the wine club is affordable, should you choose to join. Definitely stop in here. read more

We've been members of Fox Farm's wine club for ~5 years and I can't say enough good things about this winery. The wines are delicious and reasonably-priced but my favorite part is the owner and staff. David (owner) is just an all-around great person and his love of wine really shows. Ian, one of the tasting room attendants/sommeliers, is also wonderful. Their tastings usually include a few wines from other local wineries, which makes the experience even more fun. My only complaint is that we live kind of far from Fox Farm so we can't make it to all their club pick up parties. Guess we have to move! read more

Amazingly awesome wines for a great value! Quite a variety of wines from all over the willamette valley! Owner and staff super friendly!

David, the proprietor, as he says, is knowledgeable and truly loves his craft. And it shows in his wine. The Pinots were in turn, complex, bright, smoky. As good and better then what we tasted in Burgundy France last year. The winery does not show on my Wine Tour App. First fail since I started using it, as our lives would have been that much sadder if we had missed this gem. read more

To start off, I don't usually write reviews and this is my first yelp review. But, in light of my experience while at Fox Farm I felt very compelled. Me and group of local friends and colleagues decided to meet at Fox Farm recently to enjoy some wine and conversation. When we arrive we were pleasantly greeted by a very nice, personable lady (I believe Julie is her name). But unfortunately, after we were seated the situation went sour. Our server David seemed to have a negative, condescending attitude towards our group and the other staff member Julie. As a group we immediately considered leaving. However, we decided to stay due to our experience with Julie. Thank you Julie. Regarding the wine, I thought the selection of Pinot Noir was quite good. Therefore, for this experience I gave one star to the Pinot Noir and one big star to Julie. read more

I personally love the flavors of Fox Farm wines. I first tasted them at the Dundee Annual Wine Tasting event a few weeks ago and then chose to sign up to be a member at Fox Farm Vineyards. I now find myself taking the 25 minute drive here, on a regular basis, to get my membership priced favorite, the 2015 Grenache. read more

Our favorite winery in Dundee. David was so knowledgeable and friendly. He asked us what we were looking for from, "tell me everything" to "pour the damn wine." He was a very visual teacher (we opted for the "tell us everything" option) and used props to explain the willamette, (pronounced like 'damnit') valley, made jokes in good humor throughout the night, and sold us our favorite wines of the evening. When we come back to Dundee, Fox Farms will be at the top of our list. Thank you for such a great experience, David! Reasonably priced, accurate descriptions, and out of this world flavor! read more

The wine was quality, the location and outdoor area were nice and comfortable and the staff was very knowledgeable and gave us personal attention and service. Would have been a much better experience were it not for the demeanor of the owner. He was defensive and a bit condescending to us and to staff. One of his staff broke a glass while working and he made a spectacle of it which was quite uncomfortable and his treatment of the woman working was not acceptable, especially in front of guests. Maybe he was having a rough day. read more

Enjoyed the visit to fox farms and the tasting. Very relaxed and nice to have the owner pour, chat and educate. Loved it.

David is great! Not only were the wines amazing and very flavorful but David was exceptional at explaining the wines and then making it relatable to us so it was easy to understand why the wines were different. The area has a wonderful back patio with a lovely doggo to make anyone smile. I would recommend this place to my friends and plan a visit upon my return. read more
