This is a laid back tasting room with some delicious wine to choose from. This place was recommended to us from a friend and so my family stopped here on the way to the Oregon coast. We had a great time here, and while most the family does not drink a lot of wine, there was something for everyone here. The owner, David, greeted us as we walked in and sat us at the large table in this small tasting room. He sat with us for most of the tasting, describing the wines in detail, telling us the history, describing how the land around Oregon varies and how it impacts the wine. It was really interesting and he so helpful and open to answering all of our questions. You can tell how knowledgeable and passionate he is about his wines and he made our experience really unique. The wines themselves were great, and we left purchasing 2 bottles of the 5 wines we tried. While they have a variety of wines, their white wines, especially the Sauvignon Blanc and the Pinot Blanc, were phenomenal and I highly recommend. The tastings are really reasonably priced at $25 and their bottles were also well priced. The tasting room itself is very laid back and casual. It is decorated and feels as if you are just sitting in a relatives living room enjoying a glass of wine, so if you are looking for the instagram shot of a glass of wine over a vineyard during a sunset, this is not the place, but if you enjoy kicking back and enjoying solid wine in a more laid back setting with folks who care about their wines, then look no further! read more

This is an adorable winery with excellent small batch wine. David has a passion for what he does and you can tell. A friend and I visited before we stopped by some local farms and we had our dogs with us. We did a tasting flight while the dogs played in the yard and snoozed. The wine was fantastic. I am not a big wine drinker and most tastings I walk away liking maybe only 1 but I loved 4 of the 5 we tasted and the other was good, just not my preference. They also had a taco truck on site for some lunch which was delicious. David walked us through each wine, explaining about the soils and climate in surrounding valleys and gave some good local recommendations for other wines as well. By far, this has been my favorite winery that I've every been to. David is the reason why. He's the owner and honestly he is delightful. He's from Vermont, not that it matters. The way that he talks about the wine is beautiful. It feels like having a conversation with an old family friend. Like he makes me want to be a member here & I'm not even from here. We had a delightful tasting in the backyard of FoxFarms. As of July, they were doing some indoor tastings with a few spaced out tables but the fresh air under the bright sun was preferable. The wines were all great, and Fox Farm wine typically has similar labels but don't write off the ones that are different or related! One of the best was the Main et Coeur, but I'm also thinking of Kitsune. They are outstanding, and their labels help them stand out for good reason! First of the service was great, Daniel was friendly and helped with finding great places to eat nearby. We came through Harvest Host where you come in with a travel trailer to stay overnight. It says Fox Farm Vineyard but there is no Vineyard in sight! There is a small area behind a dated building with no curb appeal nor any landscaping. Their entry is full of dust from traffic, the back yard is unkept as well with no ambiance. Behind the camp spot is a train track. Best winery on the Oregon Coast! Yelp could not find the Depoe Bay tasting room, but let me tell you it's the best tasting room, hands down, that I have found anywhere on the Oregon coast. We enjoyed a relaxing thanksgiving afternoon tasting their wines and enjoying a glass of the favorites. The owner welcomed us upon arrival and we received a delightful lesson on his wines. We loved the Ghost Hill rose he was showcasing, since he'd run out of his own rose. The first Pinot noir (the Weber) was divine and that was my choice for a glass to enjoy. Stopped in for a tasting on a Tuesday afternoon. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming - a group was playing cards in the front table. David was knowledgeable and walked me through all of the wines on the tasting menu cracking jokes and making me feel right at home. His winemaking style (the same across all pinots he produces) really allows the terroir to shine. The best wine in my opinion is the Reserve from the Weber vineyard - incidentally it's also the most expensive, but still a bargain compared to others I tasted that day. I had to limit myself in purchasing to fly home with just 1 case of wine total (it's too hot to ground ship to TX right now) so I only bought 2 bottles. Tasting fees waived with 2 bottle purchase. We visited several wineries in Oregon over the past few years and Fox Farm Vineyards has now taken the lead as my favorite. We recently stopped by to pick up a few bottles at the recommendation of local family, but we arrived before the posted open hours. However, after peeking inside the open door, David invited us in for a tasting. We loved the comfortable, unpretentious space, the educational information and most importantly the best wines in the area. The tasting is truly just a splash, but enough to know we wanted to bring some home. The tasting is worth it at only $15 which is waived with the purchase of two bottles. We ended up bringing home a couple bottles each of the pino gris, the pino noir reserve and the rose, Kitsune. If I was a local, this would be my wine bar to stop in for a glass and relaxed conversation. The light fruity pino gris is perfectly refreshing for day drinking. The Kitsune is so good, we polished off both bottles with the family the same night. The pino noir is the perfect accompaniment to our charcuterie board. Maybe I love these wines even more because I cannot get them just anywhere. Cannot wait to return to the area and stock up again though. read more

Smaller location focuses on meeting the needs of smaller tastings and elegance. Nice layout. Very clean. We've been members of Fox Farm's wine club for ~5 years and I can't say enough good things about this winery. The wines are delicious and reasonably-priced but my favorite part is the owner and staff. David (owner) is just an all-around great person and his love of wine really shows. Ian, one of the tasting room attendants/sommeliers, is also wonderful. Their tastings usually include a few wines from other local wineries, which makes the experience even more fun. My only complaint is that we live kind of far from Fox Farm so we can't make it to all their club pick up parties. Guess we have to move! read more

To start off, I don't usually write reviews and this is my first yelp review. But, in light of my experience while at Fox Farm I felt very compelled. Me and group of local friends and colleagues decided to meet at Fox Farm recently to enjoy some wine and conversation. When we arrive we were pleasantly greeted by a very nice, personable lady (I believe Julie is her name). But unfortunately, after we were seated the situation went sour. Our server David seemed to have a negative, condescending attitude towards our group and the other staff member Julie. As a group we immediately considered leaving. However, we decided to stay due to our experience with Julie. Thank you Julie. Regarding the wine, I thought the selection of Pinot Noir was quite good. Therefore, for this experience I gave one star to the Pinot Noir and one big star to Julie. read more

Our favorite winery in Dundee. David was so knowledgeable and friendly. He asked us what we were looking for from, "tell me everything" to "pour the damn wine." He was a very visual teacher (we opted for the "tell us everything" option) and used props to explain the willamette, (pronounced like 'damnit') valley, made jokes in good humor throughout the night, and sold us our favorite wines of the evening. The wine was quality, the location and outdoor area were nice and comfortable and the staff was very knowledgeable and gave us personal attention and service. Would have been a much better experience were it not for the demeanor of the owner. He was defensive and a bit condescending to us and to staff. One of his staff broke a glass while working and he made a spectacle of it which was quite uncomfortable and his treatment of the woman working was not acceptable, especially in front of guests.
