They serve only 3 Floyds beer(at least on tap.) It was quite crowded when we arrived but the bartender was right on it. He got us some menus right when we stationed ourselves by his section. Lots of big comfy booths are along the wall. A big big bar is center in the space and wraps around with tons of seating. We stopped here while waiting for Au Cheval. Would definitely go back for some 3 Floyds beer on tap! read more

This place is chill AF! Cool vibe & music. This is def an industry hangout & I like to go where the bar professionals hang cuz they know the spots. Pretty good bar food read more

The first "bar" bar on Randolph. I've been three times now with various types of people who all really enjoyed the space and the drink selection. If you have to wait 45 minutes to eat at G&G and want drinks first, go to Lone. If you want (a few) nightcaps after Dokku or Au Cheval, go to Lone. If you want somewhere to take a date for casual drinks in a place with a guaranteed atmosphere, go to Lone! Hell, the last time I went was after eating a four hour, 15 course dinner just to deflate... As for criticisms, some reviewers here may complain a bit about the price but you're not going there to drink Silver Bullets and whiskey cokes so manage your expectations appropriately people; this is a trendy new place with a great urban feel. Others compare it to places in Logan Square without thinking about the fact that it's on "hotspot" Randolph street and is the only place not relying on food to pay the bills. However, while I understand why they don't offer Miller, Coors or Bud products, they probably should add one light beer option with no hops for people who aren't big into heavy craft selections (cough cough, Narragansett.) In all, you really should check this place out today because it's only going to get busier with time for all the right reasons! Cheers. read more

Great place to grab a drink or to pass the time while waiting for your table at one of the great neighboring restaurants (Au Cheval, Girl & the Goat, etc). The bartenders are awesome and make great drinks. Their beer menu is pretty solid, too (it's written on the chalkboards on the walls). Definitely a great place to go with a bunch of friends read more

Lone Wolf - Yes, I did get the Rye N Gosling based solely on the name - Bars Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Lone Wolf is a great spot for delicious, well made drinks! Each time I've stopped by for a drink (or 5), I'm impressed at how many ingredients go into each cocktail. The bartenders take their time and really do create fantastic drinks. Prices are a little high, but you're in the hot spot of the West Loop so that's to be expected. Aside from drinks, the fried pickles are AMAZING. They're a little spicy, and packed with flavor- you gotta try them! read more

I came here yesterday right before the Taste of Randolph so my bf could get a beer while we waited for our friend. The staff was friendly and allowed us to sit outside and were very generous with the cold water which was so appreciated on such a hot day. I'm not the biggest beer person but wanted to write a review based on the staff's friendliness and willingness to not charge for water on such a hot day! read more

Came here for drinks, and it is such a cool bar! Ya it's a little divey, but I think that's the whole intention behind this place! The clientele is young hipster professionals I think. I tried a couple of the local beers and was impressed with the selection. Solid bar, would come back! read more

This joint seems like they ran out of money during the build out? I liked the facade and signage outside but once you're inside, this place is totally generic with absolutely no character, none!! Prices are totally out of line.. I asked waitress if they had "Alpha Klaus" and she said "In the bomber".. no mention of price.. bill comes and this 22 OUNCE Bottle of beer was $24??? FOH! Longman & Eagle charges $16 at a five star restaurant! Some good drafts at "Decent" prices and the place gets packed/ not sure why?? Service is horrid, our waitress was clearly lost in translation.. would definitely not come back hrrrrrr! Get Dat Did read more

I wanted to give 3-stars based on price, but I went to 4 based on quality. It looks like a dive from the outside, not inside. Its a dark-ish bar with nice cocktails. The prices are a little offputting for the sizes at times, but its offset by nice flavors and craftsmanship of the drinks. I will keep going back, but usually with a boozy buzz so I don't wither the wallet. read more

Great location, great service, impressive draft beer list. However, their flagship Three Floyds beers on draft didn't seem fresh. It seems like they always have at least 4 Three Floyds beers on tap amongst a limited 9-10 tap draft list. However, even a freshly tapped keg of Gumball head tasted off with no aroma hops and a somewhat old tasting flavor. Zombie Dust was even more noticeably in poor shape: thick and chewy tasting with no aroma hops. Interesting glassware choices for the beers. Otherwise, this was a very average, fun, and loud bar with decent beer and liquor selection. I would definitely stop by while bar hopping on Randolph St. read more

I'm not sure they know that Cyrillic letters do not sound like their English counterparts in terms of appearance. Their 3 Floyds LONE WOLF sign (I cannot seem to copy Cyrillic letters into this review) does not "say" LONE WOLF. It's more like LOIYE SHCHOLF. Anyway, that annoyed me. The pub itself is cool and unpretentious or maybe it's pretentious because it's trying too hard to look cool and unpretentious? They scoffed at me when I asked them if they had Guinness. It's not overly hoppy craft beer, after all. I could have fun here, I suppose, but when it comes to a laid back bar feel, I didn't get the vibe. It was just ok. And the stairs to the bathroom are a liability. This is not a good place to go for a pint before heading home after a night out at the fancier places across the street because heels on these stairs is a disaster waiting to happen. read more

Used to be my favorite bar in Chicago however I recently had the worst experience of all time there. Went to the bar, got a drink. Drank my drink, chatted with some people at the bar, then went to the bathroom. Returned from the restroom to be accused of putting a toothpick in someone, who had previously not been at the bars drink. Was accosted by the bar staff who knew the customer, and the customer. Will never return, completely unacceptable way to treat people. Can you rate less than 1 star??? read more

This bar is basically a wolf in sheep's clothing. Hidden among the sprawls of West Loop Randolph Row next to Au Cheval, Little Goat Dinner, and soon to be surrounded by more hot restaurant spots. As soon as you look closer to Old Style like sign, you will realize this is a Three Floyd's Brewery Bar serving Three Floyd's on tap. Waiting for you here will be at least "three" Three Floyd's beers on tap with exclusives rotating. Other local beers are served up here like Revolution Brewery. Just come in and check the chalk board to see what is being tapped. Created by the minds of two amazing spots within Chicago - Trenchermen and the Barrelhouse Flat. You get the feeling of a dive bar but not being one. Here you actually feel welcome to stay for a drink or several. The only major gripe I had was the music was insanely loud that I wish we were drinking outside out front instead of inside. Quick bites and deserts are served up from Pleasant House Bakery who serves up amazing pies in Bridgeport. With plenty of room to gather, there is no reason to come here and wait for your 2+ hour reservation at Au Cheval or Little Goat Diner with a few drinks here. Or come here for some pre-drinks before heading over to Girl and the Goat and Publican. This place is perfect to get some after work drinks as well since it is just on the other side of I-90/94 from the Loop. Then you could just head over to Green Street Smoked Meats or Pizza East for some grub if your group decides they want food. There are plenty of reasons to stop by and no reason for you NOT to bring anyone here, especially if they are a fan of Three Floyd's Brewery. Food - 5 Décor - 5 Service - 4 read more

This place never fails. Whenever me and my friends want to get a beer and hear good music this is the place. Also they always have 3 Floyd's beer on tap. I highly recommend this place for people who enjoy an upbeat atmosphere. read more

Despite all of the previous reviews about terrible waitstaff.. I had a rather pleasant experience. Came in last night (Sunday) and the place wasn't packed but it had a nice buzz. We sat at the bar and both ordered their Rye N Gosling (rye whiskey, lime, sherry and Gosling's ginger beer) and it was absolutely delicious. Their cocktail list is rather small but they have a decent draft selection. With hyped up beers such as 3floyds zombie dust and gumballhead. We got a scotch egg to share and it was yummy. The bartender brought over every hot sauce in the house without even having to ask. Definitely a hipster, dive bar vibe. Love the music. Glad we came here for a cocktail rather than the overpacked Girl and the Goat! read more

Nice hidden gem that apparently a lot of people know about based upon the growd. Had I known we would have gone hear to wait for our Au Chaval (next door) reservation ... who knew? Good beer selection, cocktail (martini) was good as well. The scotch eg was legit. read more

I had this drink that wasn't on the menu called Aviation and it was the best drink ever. Can't describe it but it was a great summery drink that was light and not too strong. I couldn't get enough of it and got a little tipsy drinking at least 2 or 3 along with some other shots. I was smart enough to eat beforehand and had their hot dogs. Also, had their cheese bread (not exact name of dish) but you'll figure it out. read more

Wandered in here on a Sunday afternoon while waiting for dinner reservations. Bartenders were super friendly. Handed us a menu as soon as we were sitting down, we each ordered a beer. Bar had a laid back local dive bar meets lounge vibe that I liked. Beers were your standard $7-8 a piece. Nothing impressive about the bar, but nothing horribly wrong. Except for when you are waiting outside the ladies room for it to open when you see one of the bartenders walk into the male bathroom, do their business, then never hear them wash their hands as they walk out. Bleh. read more

We had a great time here! The happy hour specials were great and the service was even better. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and efficient. The food was great, even the thin crust pizza. We had the slice of the day, which was mushroom (aka All Caps) and it was amazingly flavorful and nice and crisp. We will be back! read more

Very good selection of local beers here. It is dark and noisy and has a definite college bar vibe. Still, the beer selection is good and there is privacy if you want it. The bar tenders were attentive. Definitely stop by if you're in the area. read more

SO, I have very mixed feelings about this place. I spend a lot of time in the West Loop and love when a new bar opens! I'm not a fan of the fake dive-y look they have going outside, but the inside is cozy and cool. The music is a little too loud for conversation. The prosecco drinks are sooooo good. My favorite is the tequila one, but that's only because Gin makes me sick and I'm not a fan of vodka. The appetizers are pretty good. The mac and cheese pie was pretty dry, but the rest aren't bad. Definitely a solid option for drinks and light snacks in the West Loop and worth stopping in! read more

Lone Wolf - The No. 2 signature drink. Tequila infused strawberry sorbet and prosecco. YUM! - Bars Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

This place is a gem. First of all, the pizza is god damn fantastic. If you are looking for a true NYC style slice in Chicago, complete with a crunchy crust, delicious sauce/cheese and 2 paper plates (as is required), this place is it! The service is great and the beers come cold. What more do you want. Come for the drinks, stay for the pizza. read more

We came here for a drink while waiting for our table at Au Cheval, however we weren't here for long. It was very busy when we went, but the service was still very fast. It is a seat yourself place. After finding a table you head to the bar and order what you want. They have a variety of 3 Floyd's beers, which my husband appreciated. Would be very interested in coming back to explore the selections further! read more

My boyfriend and I stopped here for a drink after our wonderful meal at Green Street Smoked Meats, having decided we wanted to keep drinking but maybe it was time to try something else. This was right around the corner and sounded like a solid good time. We got there around 7:30 or so on a Friday night so we knew it would be fairly crowded, between people like us who had eaten early and were looking for after dinner drinks, and the people waiting for their dinner reservations later that night. That being said, after about 20 minutes we were able to snag a table and were a bit more comfortable. The drink selection was... decent? Reading about it beforehand, I expected a more extensive beer and cocktail menu. They had a decent draft selection, but the cocktails definitely left something to be desired. Between their "normal" cocktails and their special concoctions of prosecco and alcohol-sorbets, I was underwhelmed. I did order of their special drinks and, while it was incredibly tasty, it was not worth $13. I'm sure there will be people reading this shaking their head, thinking "you're in West Loop, what did you expect?" I guess I wasn't really sure, but I felt a bit misled by other reviews. This is a place I'd probably circle back to at some point, but I'm thinking there's probably places in the area that are a few dollars less and a bit more fun. read more

After walking by and wondering about this place a few times, my husband and I decided to drop in a week or so ago. We sat at the bar although I love the look and feel of the booths. While this place is a Bar, not a restaurant and looks to be a bit diveish on the outside, don't expect dive bar prices. This is still in the West Loop and you will pay for the location. It isnt really any more expensive than anywhere else, but you wont be getting a bargain. I started with a $12 cocktail and followed that up with an average priced beer ($6-7). I am giving this place 4 stars because I feel like its a place that is needed in the West Loop, the beer selection was good and the bartenders were friendly and helpful and offered tastes of different beers when deciding. I look forward to spending a little more time there to develop a better feel for the place. This rating could change for the better or worse after... read more

Extremely rude interaction with guy who checked my ID/later bussed my table. I had a question about their system where they take your card, scan and return to you. He immediately accused me of wanting to leave, cancel my card and get free drinks. Mark my words- will never return here or tell anyone I know to avoid. read more

This place is trying to be a hip d bag bar, perhaps they may be succeeding minus the hip. There really wasn't anything special about this bar compared to the litter of bars on Randolph. I have no idea how they're surviving or why it was pretty full tonight. Their old fashion is mediocre, but of course compared to Maude's Liquor down the street, how could it compete? I've been here before and I remember why I haven't been back for a while. I was pretty hungry thus had their Chicago hot dog and grilled cheese sandwich. The hot dog was like a hot dog from a hot dog stand. I guess it's suppose to be, however it'd be nice if the hot dog was warmer temperature wise. The grilled cheese sandwich tasted better than the hot dog due to the pickles and garnish that was in it. Perhaps this place just isn't my style. I went to Lone Wolf on Saturday night, 02/8. The crowd was busy and it was loud. Tonight I was a sole traveller exploring new venues in the West Loop. The Lone Wolf is a great place to chill with friends and have a couple of drinks or enjoy an evening alone sipping a drink and reading the iPhone. Bartender Kalani is amazing! I started with an Old Fashioned, then went to a Last Word, then an amazing La Louisiana. If your into absinthe then La Louisiana is for you! It's not overbearing but just enough for you to enjoy. Lone Wolf is a great place for drinks, whether alone like me or amongst friends! Life is too short so enjoy and take care! read more

Go here for interesting cocktails and beers. Try their Sgrippino and Giralamo sour. It's a nice looking bar & lounge. I liked the decor and the ambiance is decent. We stopped in here while waiting for our table at another location down the street. I really liked the decor inside and the big center bar. Even though the bartender (I really wish I had gotten his name!) knew we were there for just a quick drink, he was very friendly and attentive. I felt like we could ask him about any drink or beer and he would know what he was talking about. This is a place I would definitely consider returning to and spending more time at just because of how comfortable it felt. Not too fussy and down to earth.....seems like a great place to spend some time talking with friends:) read more

This place is definitely reaping the rewards of being the bar next door to Au Cheval. When you are waiting 2 hours for a table, you drop in next door for drinks. It's a small place, with a large bar in the center. There was plenty of seating, in booths and tables and there were candles on each table. Let's be honest, the reason most people are coming here is because of the Three Floyd's sign hanging out front. And they don't dissapoint - they have a good tap selection and I was happy to order a Zombie Dust and wait it out. No sooner did we get our beers did I receive the text telling us to return to Au Cheval for our table. Having to chug that beer hurt my soul. Overall, it's a cute place and worth visiting while waiting for your table. The service was fast and friendly, the music was good and the prices are reasonable. read more

Lone wolf is a great late night bar in the Fulton street district, which is surprisingly uncommon. Has a chill hipster vibe to it, and the have $4 canned Schlitz so it's a great place to have a lot of beer and they have $5 bar food, with one order good for two drunk people. Gotta mention their sour ales, SO tasty. The ambience is nice, with booths along all the walls so there's plenty of seating if you can't get to the bar. Lone Wolf is a great place to cool your heels and hang before your wait for a table is up at one of the many eateries in the west loop. Think about it. There are a ton of places that are delicious to eat but do not take reservations. Avec? 2 hours. Au Cheval on a Saturday night? Four people? 2 hours. Little Goat? An hour if you're lucky. Might as well go have a drink (and Maude's can get real busy). Lone Wolf is a nice alternative to Haymarket. The atmosphere is a bit nicer, and they have a great selection of beer. We went to Lone Wolf on Thursday night while we waited for our names to be called at Au Cheval. Had some beers and also ate the chicken liver pate--it was totally delicious, and our waitress was totally lovely. We had no problem getting a booth. Two thumbs up! read more

Decent dive feeling bar with a small little patio area. I assume a lot of the people that come here are waiting for a table at Au Cheval.
