They worked on my kitchen to install new backsplash tiles and wall mounted vent, and they did a great job with clean detailed work. They also installed new French door for me that required new interior and exterior framing and once again, they did fantastic job. Colin and his crew are renovating my aunt's house now. It is a major project. Walter and Colin are always address any concerns and make sure that things are done to our satisfaction. I believe their pricing is fair for the amount of work and detailed put into providing a clean job. Sometimes there were delays but that is expected either because of product deliveries during Covid or because they took their time to create our exact vision. I will take delays any day over half asses job. Bottom line, I trust these guys to deliver great work and totally recommend them to my friends.

I've now done 5 projects in their steady, capable hands. They've always executed my designs with precision and - when necessary - excellent collaboration. They are not the cheapest, but that's what Home Depot is for. Old-style craftspeople, with time-tested techniques are what you get with Sq1 - with easy, straight-forward communication. When it came time for my major remodel I gave KB a call to get an estimate. I also shopped around. I talked with a few contractors, their prices ranged and their level or service varied. KB gave me a detailed quote based on actual measurements and costs. Other contractors just gave a look and gave a number with no discussion of what we wanted. I ultimately picked KB based on our prior relationship which created trust and the competitive price. I am glad I did. KB was on site every single day work was going on during the project. THE PROJECT WAS COMPLETED AHEAD OF SCHEDULE AND ON BUDGET!!! What I really liked beyond the obvious was that I was always updated on where we were with the project and what was happening next. I had friends and neighbors who had contractors that were never around and slow to respond. KB was always around and easy to get a hold of. Everyone who has seen the work is amazed at how nice everything turned out and the quality. We took a really bad looking kitchen and transformed it into a luxury kitchen. My wife is very happy with the result. KB helped out with a kitchen, master bathroom remodel, flooring, closets, electrical, plumbing, and painting. I had one side project I had someone else work on, they screwed it up and I hired KB to come in and get the situation resolved. Called A Plus because my AC stopped cooling my home to temperature at night. Over the course of…read morethree separate visits in less than a week, two different technicians came out, charged me $400 total for various repairs, and the unit's performance never changed -- still couldn't hit the temperature I needed. On one visit, the technician left without saying a word to me and left my front door unlocked on his way out. I didn't know he'd left or what he'd done. I later found out he hadn't actually done anything to address the issue. When I called back to say the problem still wasn't fixed, "Greg" called me and was condescending -- explained basic AC function to me, and claimed Austin "doesn't even want" my AC at 72 degrees when it's 100 outside. It hasn't been 100 degrees, and I was only trying to cool the house at night, when outdoor temps are much lower -- so his explanation didn't even apply to my situation. He also told me to call the city to have them check if my AC unit was part of some "green homes" program. When I said I'd never heard of that, he admitted he hadn't either -- so I'm not sure why he suggested it. Three paid visits, $400, no fix, an unlocked house, and a dismissive callback that included advice he couldn't even back up. Can't recommend.

So many things were done without thought, see list below. 1. Countless black burn marks all over our light colored real hard wood flooring and stairs from welding, not properly covering the area. 2. Delays with shipment then began installing the wrong railing. 3. Completely sloppy work, paint bleeds all over floors from baseboard painting, had to point this and many other imperfections out. 4. Sealed in giant ugly putty splotches all over the stairs and had to re-sand and start stain over delaying the job even further. 5. No quality control throughout project. 6. Terrible communication, I never knew when or if someone was showing up. 7. Top wood on railing was never properly sanded even after I pointed out the jagged edges. Too lightly sealed and very rough in some areas, smooth in others. 8. Left a huge trash bag overflowing and piles of material in front of our house for weeks. 9. Daily dust all over furniture and fabric couch, again did bother not cover or seal off area until towards the end I asked them to please cover the couch. After such negligence, I no longer trusted them to "fix" my burned flooring (not flooring they installed) and asked for reimbursement to hire someone else to repair. The manager refused saying that's not how they do business. Tell me this, is all that is listed above how you do business? Maybe you should have made an exception considering how poorly my home was managed and also damaged. Of course I do not trust you or your crew to camouflage your damage no matter how "simple" you say it is. SEE PICS for yourself of things I had to tell them to fix as well as the burn marks that are currently there.

His team put in additional labor hours to make everything perfect, and they did not charge extra. Then he told me there's a larger problem and his friend can do it for cheap. So I called his friend. The friend found another leak and he fixed that and said all is good except main valve which I may or may not need to fix it. He charged me $350. Then we turn it on and there's leaks everywhere. After all that, I got sick of the many people half fixing it so I called A+. They fixed everything with a reasonable price. I ended up paying double the cost of the issue because I didn't call them first. Next time, I'm calling them first.
