Excellent! Had the most delicious flatbread it was the Neopolitan. With highly seasoned turkey meatballs, mushrooms, parm and a green goddess drizzle. Two of us shared it and made the perfect lunch. Would go back if in the area again!

That's not to say it's bad, I think all sandwiches places should be as good as this was, but it just wasn't special enough to get four stars in my opinion. You have all the staples and classic. Your roast beef's. Your turkeys. Your ham. They also serve breakfast sandwiches which looked super good. There's also a handful for interesting combos which caught my eye. I went with the Pho'wich which has slow cooked roast beef, fresh basil, tomato, onion, cucumbers, house pickled jalapeño, hoisin mayo, on a buttered garlic roll. I cut it in half, added some chips and a pickle. It came out to just about 20 bucks. I was one of three people in there on a Sunday around 1pm and from order to my mouth was no more than 7 minutes. The jalapeño wasn't spicy nor didn't taste very pickled. The hoisin sauce i thought would smack, but sadly it didn't. I love hoisin but thought it made the sub subpar. It fell a little flat from my expectations but the roast beef was tender and the bread was garlicky which added depth to it. I would come back to try the others but I don't think I'll come back anytime soon. The inside was cute and fun stuff on the walls that captured my attention. Service was nice. Can seat maybe 30 inside and another 10 or so outside where I sat with my dog.

If you don't want your to go sando soggy, I'd ask for the dressing on the side. Then I finally opted to get the Chipotle chicken with avo and no bacon. Service was efficient & helpful. The sandwich took only a few minutes ti be delivered to me in the little brown paper bag. I took it home, but not before noticing that the inside dining area is cute and has sort of a farmhouse or farm-to-table, rustic ambiance. There are also a number of tables outside on the sidewalk. I brought my sandwich home and noted that it came with a cookie and lil strawberry candy. Aww! So sweet! The sandwich was on a nice toasted roll and while it was on the smaller side, the chipotle flavor was good abs the chicken and avo were fresh. The provolone was also nicely melted. I enjoyed this sandwich! Verdict: this is a great little sandwich shop with lots of options and fresh and moderately priced food. There's plenty of parking in the large shared lot and they have bathrooms for customer use. Peace!

Probably the only negative is the parking. They have a small lot, then it's street parking in the neighborhood. It was crowded when we got there at almost 8pm, but there were a few open tables. Our server was super nice and checked in on us just the right amount. If you like beer, this is a good place to come. They have a pretty good list, with styles for everyone. My mom told me that it's a SDSU bar and gets pretty wild during games (for a 70yr old woman). They have a lot of TVs, so you can probably see the game from any table. They had padres (no sound) on when we were there. The music was pretty loud, so we sat outside so it was easier to chat.

There's like 1 or 2 people that are still here from the old group but the new people they have hired leave much to be desired. Mind you I've been coming here for 9 years so I've personally witnessed the decline. Anyways, so Wednesday I came here with my boyfriend about 5:30ish. I guess one of the waitresses was training someone because her and another male waited on us together. The guys was cool, the girl, not so much. Now when I've come here before by myself she has NEVER been this "attentive" to me but I guess because I was with a handsome male, she had to make a point to come to our table at LEAST 5 times to blatantly flirt with him. No big deal, but how thirsty and obvious can you be? My boyfriend was the one who actually noticed it and commented on it first and then I paid attention. Not to mention it's rude to the female patron to flirt with her date in her face. The reason I know it's flirting because she NEVER addressed ME when she asked did we need anything, totally turned her back to me while talking to him, and kept giggling like a goofball. Whatever, I don't even care about that. What I care about is what happened last night because although I've said it before, last night was the FINAL straw. I ordered a Philly to-go and asked for no peppers or onions and to SUBSTITUTE (not add) mushrooms. I told the girl that answered the phone to make sure they didn't charge me $2.00 for the mushrooms like they did last time (mind you I called to report this to the manager MONTHS ago but I guess it wasn't important to her because she never called me back) and the girl proceeded to ARGUE with me about the mushrooms. Like what? I could see you charging me if it was indeed an ADDITION to the veggies that were ALREADY on the sandwich, but you're LITERALLY subbing one for the other. You're not ADDING anything. It's the audacity to argue with me about some mushrooms, ESPECIALLY when I've been coming here for so long. Better watch it High Dive before you end up like tons of other restaurants across the city who have had to close their doors after decades of being in business. You see how the 94th Aero Squadron just closed recently after almost 30 years. Bad attitudes, bad customer service, and overpriced food will do that to even the best of 'em. P.S.-I knew "Ryan G" and his estrogen filled commentary would follow. Needs to change his name to Whinin' G the way he comes on here and rails on ANYONE who states their experience wasn't good. All this heat in the comments but I can GUARANTEE they'll be NONE in person. Going out doesn't make me miserable. Encountering argumentative whack people like you is what makes going out unpleasant. Since you want to be catty and go through and count reviews, make sure you count the places that I have given 3+ stars because they have GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE, something you can't even begin to fathom. Furthermore you don't have the authority to "ban" anyone from anywhere Whinin' G. You'll find yourself and High Dive in a discrimination law suit messing around with me. Oh and you said my boyfriend could come back. PLEASE say to him what you said to me as you hide behind the safety of your phone. Also you spelled "dueces" wrong-it's DEUCES. Unprofessionalism seems to be your strong suit and maybe that's why you're old and still working in a bar. I'm glad you exposed yourself so everyone can see how you respond when you don't like something and I posted a screenshot so people can see you said what you said. That was cute by the way, "I said what I said." Did you learn that from watching NeNe on the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" my girl? Maybe YOU should find another hobby like getting an education so you can learn how to spell. Go play in traffic.

Then, as the day progressed I wanted to have a good lunch so I would not be that hungry for dinner and just lightly snack. So, I was craving a deli sandwich. I decided to try Rubicon Deli in Mission Hills area. I kept hearing how their sandwiches were so good. I ordered a tuna sandwich, and the girl behind. the counter was helpful and friendly, but did inform me they were out of a few bread types. I order a Dutch crunch type of bread for a tuna sandwich. They serve half and whole sandwiches so I just ordered a half which was still a good-sized portion . I wish I would have liked this sandwich because I drove 20 minutes to try this place. The bread was too dry and super messy because it was so dry. The rest of the sandwich was okay. The tuna was bland tasting as it did not seem like it was seasoned. The veggies on it were the only thing that made the sandwich decent tasting. It was nothing to write home about or drive out of my area to try it . I was hungry and paid so I had to eat it. Although, I threw away the other half of it . It was not horrible, but it was not tasty either. The service was good and they had plenty of tables to sit down inside. But, I also noticed the tables were not being wiped down and under the tables there were food crumbs all over. Luckily, I had my trusty sanitizer for the table. The fact no one was cleaning as it needed to be done was a turn off. Restaurants and places of businesses need to take it serious and keep it clean everywhere so no one gets sick. Lastly, keep in mind when you arrive at this place, you have to pay the City of San Diego parking which I paid 2.50 extra just to come here .
