Stopped into Lolev for the first time on a Sunday afternoon just after they opened at 12. The bartender was very friendly, greeted us, and was super helpful in showing us the space and walking us through the menu. She said they change their drafts pretty frequently. Currently, they are IPA and DIPA heavy, but within the next month or two we can expect some other options. I love the decor, the pastel colors, the exposed brick, and the casual and comfy seating areas. They offer rental spaces with very reasonable pricing. Parking is out front on Butler, but isn't nearly as chaotic as trying to park on the other end of Lawrenceville. read more

Good spot with a cool vibe in Lawrenceville. I have recently had some good beers from here like their wild ale and the Czech dark lager. They have are great big space including taproom seating, a lounge, and two larger areas in the back. They have some limited outside seating. Lolev usually has rotating food trucks and hosts fun events/comedians/music. There are cans available to grab in the taproom. There is street parking available. They are also Pittsburgh Brewers Guild members so you can get a stamp and prizes here. read more

Great atmosphere and the food trucks are always amazing here. Some of the brews leave a little to be desired, especially since the prices are higher than the competition. Staff is friendly, and you can bring your dog! Great place overall and they are new so I think they are finding their way as they go through batches. The beer is pretty good and reasonably priced and my favorite part is that they are super dog friendly so I usually get to meet some furry friends. A hop lover's heaven and a beer lover's nightmare. Bartenders are great, and the beer is high quality. The selection is terrible. If you like ultra-hopped hazy beers and double, triple, quadruple IPAs, then this is your spot. Basically the boring Dancing Gnome formula on crack. A few times a year I can find something that isn't packed with hops and haze, but those times are becoming fewer and farther between as time has passed. They have a lot of activities for adults and even families, a cool indoor space, very dog-friendly (which is a minus for me but a plus for most people, it seems. Please make sure your dog likes people and other dogs and responds to commands before you subject the public to their behavior, thanks). The food trucks outside are usually very tasty and quite expensive. Perfect Lawrenceville spot, if you're into lots and lots of hops- despite the fact that these beers haven't been trending in years, apparently the public didn't get the memo, because they seem quite popular. If you like hops and modern third spaces, this place is for you. If you want a lager or a dark or amber beer, it's probably not going to be here. If you do like this spot, make sure you use tap-to-pay with your phone to get loyalty rewards. If you spend way too much in a short amount of time, they will make it worth your while, for sure. read more

I happened to have their beer at a Brentwood music festival last night so I went to their brewery today to see what it was like. It's on the far end of Butler Street, but it's nice because it's away from the busy part of Butler street. Upon walking in, we were greeted by a woman behind the counter and she was super friendly with us while we were tasting a few samples before picking our beers. They had a food truck outside, which I always appreciate so there's a good option while we are drinking. It was a nice, quieter crowd and the perfect way to relax for a Sunday afternoon. read more

Lolev is such a great new brewery! It has an awesome modern feel with white tile, velvet furniture and natural light - pretty different than other breweries around. You order your beer at the bar and then you can sit anywhere. They do hold onto your card if you keep a tab open so don't forget to cash out haha! They currently do not offer flights but the incredibly friendly bartender let us try whichever beers we wanted. They do not have their own food but when I was there, they had a food truck that you could order from & bring it inside to eat! They had a live musician while I was there which made the day really fun. He was great! Overall, I'm really excited about this new brewery (just opened in December) and will definitely be back! read more

2.5 I wanted to love this place so badly! I was here on a Saturday evening, and it was just dead inside. The inside is super vibey and spacious, and there's a couple picnic benches outside in front. This spot is about .5 miles down from the other bars in Lawrenceville, so it's a little isolated. I'm not a beer drinker, so I ordered a peach cider. I wouldn't recommend it and couldn't finish it, and I've never met a cider I didn't enjoy. It was bitter and the peach flavor just didn't come through. I'd give this place a second try but would have to find a different beverage! read more

Maybe I'm too old for this place, maybe just opening weekend craziness or maybe it's just not my vibe... We love checking out local breweries and make it a point to get to new ones close to opening when we can. We had been out and about and decided to go ahead and stop by Lolev for a drink before heading home. Pulling up we saw the place was jumping for sure. There were several people drinking out on the sidewalk waiting for food from the pizza truck. We headed to the front to head inside. When you walk in the front door you were pretty much in the line for beer. They had just a few beers and a seltzer on, but small tap lists at opening are to be expected. They had a DJ up above the actual bar. The place was pretty busy and there weren't many open seats. After grabbing a drink initially we wandered back into the warehouse space where it was cooler and quieter as we waited for a friend. When he arrived though he had food so we headed inside. We found a small table and scrounged a few open chairs up. Honestly for me the beers could have been the most amazing beers and I still would have had trouble enjoying myself. It was just way too loud in the place. The DJ going loud is more of a party vibe. Then you had groups sitting visiting so everyone was yelling over each other. It definitely isn't the typical brewery vibe. I'm not sure if this is how it will always be or if was just due to it being opening weekend. Among our group everything on the menu was ordered and tried. The seltzer was okay and the best of the bunch, which isn't what you look for from a brewery. I had been excited to see a stout on tap as I do love my stouts. However, it was very disappointing. I understand it can take some time for breweries to fine tune their beers and space so typically will give places at least one more chance. It's just tough in a city with so many great breweries (and two others opening the same weekend) to first catch people's interest and then give them a reason to come back. read more

I'm a glassware snob and this brewery has gorgeous glasses for their beer. But let's back up for a minute. I used to see Lolev beer on tap at another restaurant and one day I tried it. Then I tried another one and then another. Their styles were consistently excellent. Finally I made a trip to the brewery and continued to enjoy their beer. The staff changed the TV to show our college game and were super friendly. The only reason I knocked it down is they wouldn't open a tab, I had to pay per beer every beer. It's kind of inefficient. I really wish that they had a wider variety (mostly IPAs and DIPAs), but they do switch it up every now and then. I get that you gotta sell what people buy. Overall, no hesitation to recommend. Pretty decent new brewery in Lawrenceville! Came here for a quick nightcap after dinner and it wasn't very busy on a Tuesday night. They have trivia here from 7-9 on Tuesday and the crowd that comes seems pretty fun! I like that they close at 10pm since a lot of breweries tend to close early around here. They have a good amount of seating here too. We tried the IPAs and they weren't bad! Might need to try more kinds from here. I also wish they had more non beer options since it would definitely make this place more fun to hang out at. They really only had hard seltzers and I wasn't a fan of the flavors they had left. They also have food trucks parked outside during dinner hours on specific days of the week. Worth checking out if you like beer and are looking for a new place to hang! read more

Lolev is new to the neighborhood and I'm so glad they're here! We've been needing a more central brewery in upper Lawrenceville and this is an ideal location. This is a beautiful brewery and the aesthetics are on point. They have an ideal amount of seating including high tops, low tops, and booths. I could see myself working from here, gathering with friends, or stopping by for a beer on my own. The beers they had on tap were an IPA, pale ale, stout and a Chardonnay hopped seltzer to start. I stopped by here earlier today by myself for some afternoon drinks. While I was originally supposed to head out with some coworkers they all cancelled and so I headed to Lolevs on my own. Lolevs Beer is located right on Butler Street in Lawrenceville. The inside of this place feels modern and chic with exposed brick walls and ductwork and then some colored paintings and lights. They have both ample indoor and outdoor seating with an even larger area next door which I believe is theirs. When at a new brewery, I normally go for a flight but Lolev didn't have that as an option. Instead they could do short pours and so I ended up going with three of them: Narada (West Coast IPA), Iroh (Matcha Ale) and the Lupula (IPA). For my first beer I tried the Narada. It had some nice hops up front with a bit of citrus and dank taste before finishing with a hops explosion. Second was the Iroh and the first thing that should be mentioned is that this beer is green in color which seems odd since it's not even close to St Patrick's Day. Right from the start the beer is very matcha forward with the finish tasting of the earthy and grassy flavors I associate with matcha. There is little beer flavor itself to this drink and if I didn't know it was alcoholic, I may have just guessed it was a sparkling matcha. Last but certainly not least was the Lupula which had a smooth start before a big hit of lots of citrus and a finish of hops, although not as strong as the narada finish. Out of the bunch I preferred the Lupula and would order the Narada again as well. The Iroh is exactly as they describe it but you definitely have to love matcha to love it. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. lolev had an interesting vibe to it and I enjoyed their beers. read more

I think this is an underrated spot in Lawrenceville. Nice lighting, good beer, good mix of music for both my millennial and zoomer friends. It wasn't even hard to park since it's kind of on the end of the strip! We all love easy parking!! What really sets these people a cut above for me, is the incredible service. They are super friendly, but more than that - I left my wallet (oofer) in my seat and wandered out like an oaf... Long story short these are some honest people and made sure I got my wallet back with everything in it I've seen many other people not be half as lucky as me, and for that I will gladly buy another round at Lolev beer! read more

We were heading home from trying a couple new spots (brewery and a winery), this was our last stop. I knew this was a new brewery that I didn't try out yet, but I assumed they had opened in the summer and I missed it. We walk in and as soon as we arrive, it reminds me of some of the breweries from the Tampa, FL area. I've been traveling lately and spending some quality time visiting breweries in that area and it has that same vibe. As soon as you walk in you are right at the bar. The opening area is spacious, and the back room looks pretty large itself. We learned that this was the first Tuesday that they were opened. That was great because nobody is open on Tuesday. This will help with business for sure. I asked if they offered a flight here since they have 4 beers and 1 seltzer. He said no, then I asked if I could have a small sample of the Pale Ale and IPA and he provided me that. They were both really smooth, the IPA didn't taste like an IPA, so it's good if you're not a IPA drinker. I settled for the Pale Ale, it wasn't as hoppy as I'm use to, no complaints, smooth and different from the rest. My wife had the seltzer in which I tried and I liked, which I'm not a fan of seltzers but it was good. My recommendation is to offer small flights or tastings. Nobody wants to take a risk and just try a beer that they do not like. I understand you just opened and growing pains are setting in as you find your way. But this will help, even if they're 1 oz pours for 50 cents to $1. Provides the drinker an opportunity to see what they're going to like. Since we had visited every winery in the area, we have marked out to cross off as many breweries in the area. As they've popped up and only 3 have gone out of business. This marks our 71st brewery out of 88 that had existed, but now we are down to 85 breweries, but up from 81 at the beginning of the year. We are at the 80% mark which is amazing. I am so happy that Lolev has opened in our neighborhood. It is such a big, lovely, and bright space perfect for groups and good times. Also, not to mention, the beers are soooo good! They had a pretty good IPA (Tides) and an awesome seltzer (Revive) which was 10/10!! The seltzer was very easy and light to drink and interestingly was giving me hints of lychee (which I love!). I can't wait to see the food truck line up and we will definitely be here often! read more

Good beer and a cool space. I love the different rooms they have set up versus one large open area. Bar service, which I've definitely gotten spoiled with QR codes so when there's a line it takes a bit to get a drink, but overall service was efficient! It was only our group and one other group in the entire place on a Saturday afternoon. There are no games or tvs or anything. It felt really cold and sad almost?
