Its a cool place. I think the drinks are cute. I do like the Potato Skin and Fries. I did like the pizza. We had 3 kinds of pizza to try em. I liked the crust but I think i would try other flavors. I'd go back for the potato skin and drinks. Service was great and its a super nice place to chill and hang out . Happy eating!

We came to Lola's after reading the good reviews. With reservations on a Friday night we were seated quickly and served promptly. The ladies in the group got their signature tropical cocktails, I got a beer. We had the Luau Sliders and some teriyaki ribs, both good. For pizza we had the Thai Chicken and a "build your own". The colorful tiki atmosphere, good food, the fancy drinks and solid table service will have us coming back. The bill for four of us was right around $190.

With the Tiki Bar decor, this place has become a really cool place to take your friends and enjoy some food and drink. This restaurant is one of those places that has so many decorations around every corner of each area that you have to really visit it to fully experience the atmosphere. For a place that is very themed, the price of the pizza is surprisingly reasonable at under $30 for a family sized meal that is probably subsidized a bit by their large menu of fancy themed drinks. These come decorated nicely with an assortment of unique mugs. Definitely take a visit here if you're looking for a uniquely decorated restaurant with lots of fun photo opportunities.

The restaurant was decorated very well with tiki huts and statues. Dimly-lit which added to the mood. They even had a small fountain in the corner. The waiter was very nice and personable. Prices are a bit high. Specialty drinks are around $15 but were very good. The pizza and salad were standard.

Tiki time!

Amazing cocktails and Pizza.... Everyone needs a Painkiller after a long workweek! We've been coming here the last few months and have become addicted to the ambiance. The Hawaiian music, island decor and vast selection of tiki drinks make Lola's special.

Moving this to 3-star. I will say, the drinks and food are still 5-star every time i have been! We were there with 4 guys looking to spend a little money and have a great time at one of the best bars in the Suburbs. $400 was the total bill between our group. However, on this visit, the server took the liberty of placing an auto-gratuity on our group of 4 and not saying a word about it. Not only was the auto-gratuity not mentioned to our party, circled, highlighted, etc, the receipt was purposely discreetly tucked into the check presenter as so we were not to notice. I looked over the menu and website and didn't' see anything about this being their policy. I think it was mentioned that tables of 5 or 6 or more would be subject to an auto gratuity....which is fair...however, we were 4 guys. The ironic thing is, with all 4 of us being in the business we would of left more than what the autograt got the server. Service was really good...i was planning on leaving $50 on $180...but enjoy the $37 guy! I have a feeling this little trick works more times than it doesn't, so the server is still coming out ahead. Very unscrupulous and deceiving from such a great establishment like Lola's. Pretty weak.

Is the whole restaurant a tiki bar?

Yes, there is a small bar area with a handful of high top tables, and the rest of the restaurant is also tiki themed

This was a spur-of-the-moment choice but ended up being very fun for drinks and dinner!…read more I LOVE tiki bars and my husband noticed this one in the area near where we happened to be on Google maps, so off we went! We had about a 15 minute wait for a table but it gave us time to peruse the menu in the car. They offer many classic tiki cocktails, a page full of seasonal drinks, a page of "Designated Driver" mocktails (nice to have an option for something other than just a Shirley Temple!), Polynesian appetizers and entrees, and then Lola's Pizza. For drinks, I got the seasonal Gingerbread Painkiller and my husband got a Green Flash mocktail. (Pro tip on the seasonal drinks: check the regular cocktail menu to see how many skull and crossbones are listed under the regular version of your drink, if applicable, to see if it's a super strong one!) Mine was creamy and spicy but quite powerful. Props to our waitress, Makayla, who checked if anyone at the table was epileptic, because normally the "flash" part of my husband's drink is a strobing LED ice cube; I actually am photosensitive, so it came in the drink in non-strobe mode and just glowed an alien green. She said this was the first time it had actually paid off to ask, but I'm glad she did! The food was tasty: I ordered rumaki, an old-school appetizer of bacon-wrapped water chestnuts that you don't see very often these days, and he got loaded fries. We also got a small Lola's Pizza, which was very good, with a crisp but also chewy crust. The atmosphere here is pure tiki, with a fountain, swag lamps, bamboo, and Hawaiian-influenced Christmas music playing for the season. Lots of big groups here; everyone seemed to be having as good a time as we were! What a laid-back gem in Arlington Heights! We'll be back. Mahalo!

The Yelp reviews were mostly five stars, and it was touted to be a locals' favorite, so we decided to give it a try. We both chose the patty melt with a cup of vegetable soup. The soup sounded like an excellent choice on this cold cloudy day. The food, the service and the ambience were all wonderful. We finished off the meal sharing a slice of hot peach pie with vanilla bean ice cream. It was all fantastic.

Established (as the wall told me) in 1936, I expected "Polish" to be in menu alone...and I was wrong. The gal behind the bar had an accent. Halfway through the Bears game, I started hearing folks concerning and cheering in Polish. I felt like I had slipped into a cool little club to which I would never have otherwise been invited. Loud (but not too loud) and boisterous. I read some other reviews talking about rude regulars: rubbish. Chicago is loud and direct. If you don't like that vibe, the shoulders in this city may just be a little too broad for you. The pierogi and the pyzy were great, both served with sour cream. The beers, while not draft, had a wide, Euro-leaning selection but still respected some local favorites (Old Style). Good food. Good folks. Confusingly brilliant ambiance. You're missing out if you skip The Log Cabin.

The martini which is advertised on their menus was totally disgusting, it was ALL olive juice, barely even a martinis. No olive garnish. The mule was ALL ginger beer and tasted horrible. Not sure what the bartender did to those drinks but they were completely disgusting and poorly made, coming from a former bartender. On top of having to choke down those horrible tasting drinks, they were almost $20 a drink! Completely outrageously priced. So then we go to pay for the two drinks which was $34.50, we put in two cards for the waitress to obviously split the tab down the middle. What does she do? Runs it entirely on one card. Multiple complaints about this places. Very upsetting. Do NOT come here. Save your money. I will never ever be back here

These poor intimidation tactics is why you should not patron unkept establishments such as these. The bartender Jessica?? was cool as hell though. Please tip her well. There are other employees here that do an amazing job but I can't stand a jack$;& so I'm calling them out. Places like these will never take the trash out so I'm warning you right now, my review and others are not wrong. It's hit or miss on how you will be treated. What's interesting is that they never asked me what I was doing, but because it's "me", the assumptions is the problem I have. My friend, who wasn't not there during the incident actually recorded the women dancing and posted to all social media platforms. So, to the plus's size body guard, the ladies aren't safe and you did a poor job protecting them. I didn't know she did this until we left the club and I told her about the incident.
