Poor service, had to wait even with empty tables, they refused to sit a party of 4 on a 6 party table, we even asked to be sit on a 2 party table, just add 2 more chairs, but they refused. Very inflexible! We had 4 bread sticks, the waitress said that they ran out of bread. Kinda like a Chinese restaurant running out of rice. What kind of Peruvian restaurant would run out of bread....unacceptable!!! They had 1 waitress for the entire restaurant, needless to say, the service was super slow, took forever to get our order and getting the food was even slower. The saving grace was the food, the food was pretty good. Had the seafood curry soup, that was delicious, by far one of the best seafood soup that I have eaten. Ok price is a little high ( $17-$22 per plate) but everything we ordered was tasty and the portion size was good, I am peruvian btw. The lomo was delicious, one of the best ones I've had here in the US. The traditional fish ceviche was fresh and had good flavor. My friend got the arroz con pollo and was happy with it, the only negative thing was that the "tallarin verde" my other friend ordered was not spaghetti like it should be, instead they served it with rigatoni pasta. Service was good, if i am ever again in the area i would definitely go back. P.S: They have a huge selection of wine, the place is small but classy and clean. The lady in the front told us to wait 2 mins. We were happy that it's won't take too long. I have been to Lola's probably 10 times since moving to Glendale last year. They are consistent with their flavor and presentation every time! Worth every dollar and the serving staff is incredibly cool and fun. Great for a date or a nice weekend meal. Honestly great any time! So happy to have these guys so close by. read more

I was looking for Lola's chicken and was in the Glendale area. I usually go to Van. Nuys . We were very hungry with my Son. So I decided to buy Peruvian Food since They didn't have any chicken. It was very expensive,I don't think is worth it. I would pay $10 Max $12. But not $18. I did pay today ,but will not come back. Food was good ,I feel bad for the workers. After reviewing comments on this site regarding Lola's Peruvian Restaurant, the reviews, most of which rated the place with mostly 3 to 4 stars, I decided to have a group dinner there. I'm sorry to report that with our party of 10, almost everyone's dinner was served barely warm and in some cases cold. One person's dinner was served with the chicken under cooked, pink in the middle. This problem with under cooked chicken seems to have happened before (see Linda L. review) and is still a problem!!! I spoke with the owner several days later to report the deficiencies in our dinning experience at his place. He seemed not so concerned, offered no apologies and did NOT offer to comp the person with the under cooked chicken. I have to say, I had high hopes, given the favorable past reviews. But I cannot in good faith recommended this place to anyone while they are serving cold dinners and under cooked chicken ! read more

In search for Lomo Saltado with tender meat...I eventually tried Lola's. I've tried other places for this dish and every place I've been to has chewy meat. Lola's is the place. Lomo Saltado (with shrimp) - juicy, tender, flavorful steak. Shrimp was cooked just right (some places dry it out). Comes with a side of two spicy sauces (green and yellow). Staff was very nice. I can tell there are better servers at this place but the one we had not so much. We felt really rushed, she didn't know the beer they have on tap or in bottles. Great place I love lomo saltado. Its beef strips, onions, tomatoes, fries and rice. Parking was a breeze in the back. The only reason I didnt give them 5 stars is because they dont have the brown rice option. Another suggestion would be not to mix the fries into the seasoning so much because it was soggy. read more

Very nice place. The set up and decoration are really nice and relaxing. The food is full of exquisite flavors. I ordered the Seafood Pasta and it was a very considerate portion. We ordered the Cerviche sampler, which is 3 different types, which was good. One of them was a bit too sour in my opinion, but I get the theme and yes, it is tasty. For dinner, I had pesquado alo macho, fish with seafood on top basically. That was very good, but a bit over seasoned on the sauce, again, my opinion. My other had steak with pasta. Lola's is definitely my favorite Peruvian restaurant. The food is very authentic, if you haven't eat Peruvian food before or if you haven't been at Lola's before I will recommend you to try the Lomo Saltado, Chanco Al Palo (roasted pork) or Ceviche. The place is very welcoming and the service is always excellent. There is parking on the back which is a plus considering that Glendale in general is so hard to find parking. The pork was a bit dry but had great flavor and we substituted vegetables for the fries. Had a bottle of the 2013 Haraszthy Fantastico Malbec which was very good.
