I'm a huge fan of Lola Salon and Vivian specifically. She has been cutting my hair for a number of years. Vivian has a great eye and great energy so I always enjoy talking to her in addition to getting a great haircut! A few years back, I decided to stop coloring my hair and she supported me through the process, always saying positive things! Everyone at Lola has gone through similar training so my sense is they're all very good. And they're nice people who seem happy to work together. :-) read more

I love Vivian (who really knows color) and followed her here from another salon. The rest of the stylists are also amazing. It's a relaxing, cozy little salon with a positive atmosphere. Highly recommended! read more

Vivian is one of the BEST hairstylists I've ever seen. I love her work and her personality. I followed her from another salon and I'm so glad that I did so. She does hair color and haircut for me and haircut for my boyfriend (and he's hooked too). She takes her time to talk with me and provide as much consulting tips as needed. I have fine and frizzy hair and with her help I now enjoy having shiny voluminous hair with defined curls. During each visit she shares helpful tips about new products that would benefit me and also tips about how to do my hair at home. Thanks Vivian for making my hair look great and healthy, you're awesome! Everyone here is so nice and also a pro in their job. Once I was in rush and couldn't find time with Vivian, so I scheduled a haircut with Kim. Lola herself is such a sweet person and a pro too. Oh did I forget to mention my sister can't go anywhere else and hooked here too? read more

Not only did I get an incredible haircut and amazing grey coverage and color, but I recieved an incredibly warm and comfortable experience. I opted for a student cut and color by the lovely and warm Sarah. She was extremely professional and did a FANTASTIC job with my tricky hair type. She was overseen the whole time, and I felt completely at ease with the experience. I highly recommend Lola and even more so Sarah. read more

Received a phenomenal haircut by Kim! Hadn't had a cut in over a year and was in desperate need of a cut to bring my big curls/waves back to life. Kim nailed it! She took the time to review styling technique with me, how to care for and enhance my curls, and recommended product to help me achieve a low maintenance style tailored to my lifestyle. My hair feels and looks amazing. And the product recommendation was spot-on. Looking forward to seeing her again in a few months. read more

Love Lola! I've only had cuts by Sarah, but everyone on the team seems like they know exactly what they're doing and I've seen some fabulous fancy cuts and colors out of the chairs next to me. I'm a can't-be-bothered-to-even-comb-my-hair type of person, so I really appreciate that Sarah takes the time to make sure my layers look perfect and will grow out nicely instead of terribly shaggy. She takes her time without being tedious. Can't wait until they're able to re-open! read more

Unlike most salons, this place knows how to care for curly hair (eg, how to wash it without it ending up a tangled mess) and the best products to use for curly hair. If you have curly hair, you know what I'm talking about. Curly hair is dry, brittle, and easily damaged...and most salons tend to do what works for straight hair. I've definitely had a salon tangle my hair into a mess while washing and then try to rip through it with a brush. Not here. The owner and stylists are incredibly friendly and professional...and the salon has an upbeat vibe in a cool modern space. Overall, I was happy with the service here...unfortunately, it's a bit far from where I live. One thing that bothered me was that I had asked what was involved when the stylist suggested a particular service and I was told foils would be used. I agreed to the service and several minutes later she was painting my hair sans foil...The main drawback with not using foils is that the color that was painted in portions of my hair wasn't separated from the rest of my hair - or the chair I was sitting in. When I automatically leaned back into the chair, the color, which was only applied in pieces of my hair, effectively smeared across the entire back of my hair (and the chair) because there was nothing separating those portions from the rest of my hair (and the chair). My hair is curly so luckily it wasn't a big deal - you really couldn't tell visually. I was generally happy with the results - maybe slightly darker than I had expected but still looked great - and the stylists go out of the way to make sure that you're happy. This is a great salon but I think that the fact that the service was performed differently than what was described several minutes prior was strange and I really didn't know what to make of it. read more

Have been getting my haircut by Kim for years - she is fantastically talented and a lot of fun, as well.

What an adorable salon! Light-filled space, fabulous people, impeccable service. So nice to have Lola in the area, though I would drive here if it weren't close to me. Kim is the best. read more

I love Lola's salon! Laura and Kim and Sara are so talented, they get my hair from dark brown to light blonde without using bleach!!!! All my friends can't believe they do it without bleaching and burning my head, but they work magic. They are also the nicest most down to earth women ever. I drive almost an hour to go there, I don't trust anyone else in the world with my hair! read more

Last Saturday, me and my husband drove around the area to check some salons. I am very picky when it comes to who will cut my hair as I got traumatized by the last hairstylist I went to. My husband and I have decided to get some bagel. Fortunately, right near the bagel place is Lola's Salon. I am hesitant at first because it looks new. But I went and asked the receptionist. She showed me the rates. Surprisingly, out of all the salons I went to and talked to, Lola have the most reasonable price. I am walk-in and fortunate enough to see and talked to the stylish directly who is Vivian. She is very sweet, very smart, very kind and have a very good sense of humor. I looovvvee her. She took away the worries that I have having my hair cut after a long time of waiting. My hair length is way pass my waist, it's long....but Vivian gave me a fixed price. One thing I love about Lola salon. After Vivian cut my hair and saw the result, I almost cried (didn't want to show it to her) :) but I love it. She will be my hairstylist from now on. She cut it the way I like it to be. She also gave me options. She went above and beyond and I can't thank her enough. She is my Angel. I am so happy to have found her. I highly recommend Lola salon and everybody that works there. They're all kind and happy. Thank you Vivian. You made my experience wonderful. :) read more

I've been getting my hair cut and colored by Vivian for years now and cannot say enough about how wonderful she is! Vivian consistently gives me a beautiful and natural looking blonde and she really understands how to give me the best haircut for my hair type (previously curly, now wavy). She takes pride in her work and it shows. Plus she is a genuinely nice person! Her new space at Lola is beautiful, clean and well-lit. Check it out! read more

I've been getting my naturally curly hair cut by Kim for several years. I can't believe i spent all that time going to stylists who didn't understand curly hair! Kim is the best. The absolute best. Fantastic haircuts, fantastic color, knows that I'm not going to spend more than 30 seconds getting it ready in the morning and doesn't make me feel bad about that, puts up with my bad habits of forgetting to come in for weeks at a time and still manages to make my hair look fantastic each time, plus an all around awesome woman to hang out with -- I'd look forward to hanging out for an hour even if she wasn't cutting my hair! read more

I got a haircut done by Kim. She is FANTASTIC. Super sweet, patience and extremely qualified. She took her time to teach me how to proper treat my wavy hair. She really knows a lot and I left much happier and confident than when I came in. She got me for life ‍ read more

Laura Farrell and her incredible team are impeccable -- in artistry and professionalism. Moving here from Manhattan, I had no idea where I could get a cut and style that would be at the same level as my stylist who had been working with me for 15 years. Laura has gone way above my previous stylist -- and beyond. She is a warm and lovely person to boot. This salon is special, and once you walk through those awesome doors, you will realize what a special place you've entered. Go now. Book your appointment. You will NOT be disappointed. read more

Vivian is the best! I followed her from another salon where she'd been cutting my hair for several years and coloring it as well. I've always trusted her with my hair since Day 1. About 6 months ago, I decided to take the plunge and go gray. She's been doing a fabulous job with this transition which involves highlighting and lowlighting so that as the gray grows out it looks natural. Vivian is a real pro ;) The salon is very nice too and is in a great neighborhood. A real bonus is the free parking close by (and for more than 2 hours if you need it). read more

Wow. Just wow. I went to Lola Salon knowing only that my hair was a wreck and I needed help. I wasn't sure what to do, though. Should I shave off all my sad, dead hair? Dye it to match my roots? Wear a hat or bandana everywhere until my hair returned to life? I sat down and essentially turned my look over to Laura and Sarah. They tossed around a few ideas; I said, "I will walk out of here happy with whatever y'all decide to do;" and they went to town on my head. I enjoyed my entire 3.5 hours in the salon - I felt relaxed, nurtured, pampered, and like my experience mattered to everyone in the salon. I laughed a lot, I enjoyed some good conversation, I handled some work emails on my phone, and I even meditated quietly for a bit. By the time the process of cutting and coloring my hair was complete, I turned to Laura and Sarah and told them, "Thank you for giving me the cut and color I never even knew I wanted!" I do not know how they managed to take the mess of a head I brought into them and turn it into a bold, beautiful look I actually wanted to rock, but they did. I BOW DOWN TO THE MASTERS. read more

I have super thick (as in lots of), short and wavy hair that is styled to look easy going. That translates into needing a very technical haircut. I've been to salons all over the Bay Area and nobody understood my hair. Until I met Liz. She took the time to really understand what I was going for and explained what she would do. My hair turned out fabulous! I finally found my stylist. read more

I have been getting my hair cut and colored by Vivianne for about three years, having followed her from her revious salon to Lola's. She is very responsive and really listens to what I want. I highly recommend Vivianne and Lola's. read more

I have been coming to Lola salon for the last 7 months and it is with no question my favorite salon I have ever gone to. I have been seeing Vivian who I highly recommend. I had wanted to cut my hair short for years and Vivian made me feel confident to do it. My favorite haircut ever, I have never loved my hair as much as I do now. Aside from the pleasant ambiance here Vivian is extremely focused and meticulous you can really tell she takes her clients seriously and cares a lot. read more

I am so happy starting the new year knowing my hair is in great hands. I had just got the worst haircut from a stylist from another salon who cut a literal mullet in my locks that I was growing out long for nearly two years. I heard of this new spot LOLA and after seeing the bios I choose to book with Vivian after reading about her precision cuts and was so happy to get an appointment the very next day. She was very understanding of my heartbreak, knowing I had to cut several inches off to even my style and assured me she would keep it long around my face as to not be a shock. My expectation going in was that I would get a cut to lesson the injustice that was done to my hair so it was tolerable to look at. What I got was an amazing haircut that I absolutely love!! She was meticulous and so very kind through the process. I am so grateful to have a stylist now who has my back when it comes to my hair looking and feeling the best. I could not recommend Vivian and this salon more. See below before and after! read more

I have been going to Laura as my stylist for many years. When she moved to Lola I followed! The salon is made up of women who have created a welcoming energy that you feel as soon as you open the door. The space is beautiful and clean -- every detail has been thought through including the very comfortable seats where your hair is washed. I highly recommend making an appointment with any of the stylists. Of course, Laura is at the top of my list (: read more

Lola Salon has a group of dedicated, talented, seasoned stylists who know what they're doing. Vivian gives me an amazing cut each time I go. And, my style grows out looking sassy until my next appointment. Vivian has wonderful ideas if you aren't sure what your next look should be (and, she's a fabulous listener). Recently, I got highlights -- great winter pick-me-up! This is a fun, friendly environment, no attitude here. Lola sells a wide variety of hair products; stylists know which are right for you (never pushed on you). Highly recommend Lola! read more

I went to Lola's for the first time last weekend - just fantastic. I had previously had a light blond balayage on my hair, but hadn't had anything done since March. I didn't have high hopes that much could be done to improve the state of my hair, so I wasn't expecting more than a clean-up. Liz took a look at my hair and asked some great questions about it and then suggested a totally different course with my color and cut. I was ready for a change, so I said, "let's do it." I LOVE the results. I've been coloring my hair for twenty years and I don't think I've ever been this happy with a color or cut. The new color she did is a huge improvement and coordinates with the pale blue undertone of my skin. The cut is modern without being trendy, stylish, is flattering to my face, and easy to care for to boot. VERY happy, and I've definitely found my new salon. read more

Great stylists. I got a Devacut from Sarah. I couldn't have been more happy. Laura was amazing too! I never seen my curls so healthy and bouncy. Definitely coming back and now my go to spot! It's a new salon that just opened. Beautifully remodeled. Clean and open. They sell Deva products here, so if you need some, come here! Recommending everyone to go here! (If you are weary because you don't see pictures from their past work, just trust them, they couldn't use pictures from their other salon) And booking and confirming your appointment is so easy! Nice, Knowledgeable, and Skilled, what more can you ask for :-) read more

I've been going to Vivian for a few years now and I love how she cuts my hair. We started with a Deva cut and she's modified it to what works best for my thick, curly hair, which is both wet and dry cuts. I spend very little time on wash days because my hair takes forever to dry, but Vivian takes the time to do everything. She also washes, trims and styles my son's very long, thick hair. It used to take almost 2 hours for his, but now Vivian can do it in just over an hour. Lola Salon has a fun, casual vibe with talented stylists. read more

If you want a great haircut and beautiful color see Molly. She is very sweet, skilled and creative. I love her work.

Looking for a place to have your hair cut/styled etc and want a recommendation? Go to Lola Salon! Specifically, I see stylist, Vivian (Kimber) since I moved to CA in 2011. I remain her client in 2019 and will continue to see Vivian for my hair at Lola as long as she continues in this field. I followed her from Festoon to Lola Salon (and stayed her client when I moved to the south bay for a bit). She is so personable, skilled and professional; which makes sense given that the whole Lola team is as well! I highly recommend Lola Salon. read more

Love my hair from Lola's Salon. Went in last week after not having done anything to my hair for over a year. Vivian didn't give me any grief for neglecting my hair so bad for so long, she just took my stringy, over bleached gross hair and transformed it into something healthy and natural looking. I just can't thank her enough. I would definitely recommend Vivian! read more
