they DO NOT DO MEGA VOLUME!!! so I found this place cause it's the closest to my house and I wanted to get a new set of mega volumes. They did not give me mega volumes the mega volumes that they made me pay for we're not even barely. The lady at the front was very nice but I sat there for 2 1/2 hours at the McKenzie location just to not get what I wanted and what I paid for very very disappointed. They should not be charging people for mega volume sets when they actually do not do them the highest they go up to is a 15 and to take 2 1/2 hours and you just pretty much gave me normal light lashes and made me pay 200 and some dollars definitely not mega not even close false advertising!!! read more

I first went to Lola and had my eyelash extensions done for my honeymoon. The girl who did them had just moved from Australia (not sure of her name) she did a good job and they lasted quite well through my vacation. When I came back I had them filled and the tech at that time (different person) told me that they were in quite good shape and not in need of a fill, but I did it anyways. About 2 weeks later my right eye had nearly no eyelashes left. My left eye still had a good amount. By time time I needed a "Fill" my right eye had literally 2 eyelashes left on and looked ridiculous. I took good care of them and followed everything they said (short of wearing googles in the shower) I see no reason why there was such an inconstancy in the longevity of them. I found somewhere else on Yelp that I am WAY happier with. I will not be returning to Lola. read more

I went here early morning and it was very quiet. I enjoyed the process of laying on a comfy bed and having my eyelashes done while I closed my eyes. The lady doing my lashes was friendly, however she kept drinking her Starbucks and breathing on me with her coffee breath - which wasn't so pleasant. I recently had a few sets and fills here. It's way too expensive for the pre made heavy extensions. If you go to a real certified tech a volume set takes 3 hours. I'm not sure how they get theirs done in less than 1.5. The lashes are so heavy and fall into my eyes and I would barely make the 2.5-3 week mark and have little to no retention of the lashes. The girls are lovely but for the price it's better to go to someone that will spend the time to get the best bang for your buck and not rush with mediocre lashes and results. read more

Wishing there was a zero star option. I went in and got my lashes done which took a very long time. The 2 days following my appointment my lashes starting to fall out - a lot. I called them and the girl told me the tech was new and used the wrong glue and was out of practice. This is completely unacceptable, they should train their techs more. I went in for a "fix" by the same tech, and my lashes completely fell out the next day. After hours of expressing my disappointment and speaking to 3 people, they finally offered a refund. They told me I had to go into the salon for a refund. So I wasted more of my time to go in and they couldn't do a refund because of their "system". This experience was beyond horrible and the service was repulsive. I would NEVER go back and would not recommend you to go unless you want to waste your time and money. read more

I really enjoyed my experience with Lola Lash Bar Mckenzie Towne. This was my first time getting my eyelashes done and i couldn't have asked for better experience. The atmosphere is really girly, chic and sophisticated. Think: a Lauren Conrad blog post that came to life. The technician that did my lashes was super friendly and checked up on me throughout the process. Which is about 3 hours from start to finish for a new set. They are really attuned with beauty trends and I didn't have to explain what I was looking for--what was in style and I didn't have to explain myself. I got the 15s and the end lashes flared out for the "doll eye" looked. I loved it! And it lasted a long time-- like 3 weeks by following the proper care instructions. I was offered the gel pack but it's not necessary but do invest in a spoolie! I loved my experience so much that this is my go-to lash place. read more

After having my lashes done by a friend who is new and just learning how to lash, I decided to go to Lola. Unfortunately, my friend had done quite a number on me and I ended up with a lot of torn out lashes, bald spots, and damage to my existing lashes. My technician at Lola was Berkley. I found her to be extremely knowledgable as I informed her what had happened and my concerns. I explained to her the exact look I was going for with the lash sizes/placement etc. (I'm very picky). Throughout the appointment she explained to me the technique she was using and how to keep my existing lashes healthy enough to grow stronger after this last unfortunate set. Once the appointment was finished, I was pleasantly surprised to see what a good job she did at making my little-to-no lashes look as full as possible. I was also very happy to see that she had listened to my requests in regards to the size/shape of the lashes. I've had many technicians in the past seem to ignore what it is I've asked them to do and do their own thing, or probably more so, they're just doing the one and only look they know how to do. I do have to say however, don't expect to have perfectly fanned, fluffy, light lashes here. I find the lashes that Lola uses to be a bit heavier than I'm used to which I think anyone with weak lashes may have a problem with. I also found that they don't last as long as lashes I've received elsewhere. But that could also be because I've been using the lash serum they carry "Li-Lash" religiously (which by the way is literally magic in a bottle - I highly recommend this product for quick lash growth!) But if you're like me and can't stand laying there for 3 hours for a decent set of lashes, Lola is definitely a much better option getting you out in as quick as an hour or two depending on what type of set you're getting. read more

This was a complete waste of time. Never had them done before but when I made the appt I said I wanted a volume set. I also made the appt 3.5 WEEKS AGO. When I laid down and explained what I wanted and what I asked for, the tech said she didn't have time for that. Ok fine, whatever. 90 minutes later, I look EXACTLY as I do just with mascara. Zero point whatsoever in doing this. Why bother paying $100 to then look the same AND have the added fun of painstakingly maintaining this things every three weeks. No thanks. The tech seemed competent but should have allowed the appropriate time not just "well, I don't have time to do a volume set". I was 15 minutes early, she was running late and rushed through the last 15 minutes because her next client was waiting. Didn't feel for one second like I was anything but $100 bill to anyone there, they were completely dismissive. Never again. read more

While I have been to this salon several times for lash fills, yesterday was the first day I had a fresh set applied. The lady I would have liked to have been booked with is unfortunately no longer with the salon. Leaving the salon, I noted a section of eyelashes was missed during the application. This morning I called to schedule a fix of my lashes and was told there would be a cost of $2/ lash and they could fit me in on Monday. I don't think so. The appointment will now be on Thursday (???) and there will be no charge. Apparently the Monday appointment doesn't accommodate a fix. Hmmmm... While the salon is cute-looking, the service leaves a lot to be desired. The staff is less than pleasant and customer service is lacking. Thursday will be my last appointment at the Lola Lash Bar. read more

Thee worst lash experience EVER!!! Having had my lashes done for about 3 years, I can honestly say that this was the worst experience I have ever had. I went in for a fill - I LOVE the full look. Came out after an hour of prodding at my eyes with the exact same fullness... I told the tech this and she said, well you had a full look to begin with. I did not - hence coming in for the fill. I paid $55 despite being unhappy with the results. Over the weekend (got the fill on a friday) my eyes became irritated and began to become infected and sore. Over this weekend CLUMPS of 5+ lashes attached to 1 natural lash began to fall out. No wonder why I was in pain!! I called Monday and left 2 messages for the manager - no response. Called Tuesday and left another message for the manager - no response. Finally Wednesday I called and left a serious message to which Thursday I got a response. Almost a week after the service. The manager schedule me in for the following Wednesday for a "fix" . I drove the hour and a half from Canmore where I live to come in for this "fix" after about 20 min the tech "fixing" my clumped and glued lashes said, "all done!" take a look! When I opened my eyes a just about **** myself!!! They were pointing in ever which direction in different lengths and I almost died. Not sugar coating this any longer I told her this was not acceptable! She said, okay we we'll just take them off! Having had lashes for 3 years, that is NOT acceptable!! After 2 hours of yanking at the lashes she just put on, they were taken off and my beautiful lashes underneath had been ripped out. Needless to say I looked like a chemo patient. They did NOTHING to reimburse me for the money I spent getting the terrible job done, nor my time, nor the new set of lashes that i needed which they did not even offer to do. Moral of the story is #1. just because its a franchise, do NOT automatically trust them like I did. #2. DO NOT bother with Lola Lash Bar!!! Go to someone who knows what they are doing. read more

I created a Yelp account , just so I could review Lola. Oh boy, first off, i had to wait 15 minutes past my appointment time to go in ( the salon was empty...) I have been to this location many times before, as well as the 1st street and other lash salons ( I'm no novice at getting my long lashes applied) It must have been the lack of experience from the girl ( she had started the day before- but don't worry she does lashes out of her home as well) never in my 2+ years of getting my lashes done have they HURT like a mofo while being applied and brushed out. I told her a couple times that it was tugging the delicate skin on my eyelids , and all I got was a "sorry", and continuation of the agony. When i was finally done - TWO HOURS LATER. ( huh? i have lots of my own lashes, its not like she was doing reconstructive surgery) my eyes stung and were watery for an hour later. It's normal to have some stinging ( not really) but for an hour after the appointment??? Fast Forward 2 weeks later and here we are. Scraggly lashes that are crossing every which way, a couple that curl into my eye ball and I can't comb them for the life of me because there is so much glue/ adhesive sticking to my SKIN and lashes. My eyes still sting if i get water in them ( um hello, showering, washing my face and crying about my horrible lashes are out of the question.) I tried to call Lola to make an appointment to have them removed ($15 big ones for your unhappiness) There were no convenient times available to get in and the next time slot was 2 weeks from now. Besides, I'm having serious trust issues with people and my eyes now. I will wait till they slowly fall out and never return to the Lola Mackenzie Towne location. B- Maybe you should stick to applying lashes to your friends at home ;) read more

I've been going to Lola in McKenzie Towne every 2-3 weeks religiously for over a year and a half because of one amazing Tech. I showed up to my appointment with her last week and she wasn't there. No explanation or even recognition that something wasn't right. Instead, another 'Tech' (using that term loosely) did my fill. I'd tell you her name, but she didn't introduce herself, so I don't know it. She didn't brush my lashes before she started cutting out the old. When I got home I had a good look at them only to find a dog hair intertwined in the extensions (I have dogs). This definitely would've been removed had she combed the lashes. My appointment was an hour long. I was out of there in 45 min, and my lashes looked, at best, marginally fuller than they did before the appointment. She spent what seemed like forever getting herself ready. I think she actually spent maybe 35 min applying new lashes. They were tangled immediately and several extensions fell out within 24 hours of the appointment. A week later there were maybe a dozen left on each eye. I called the day after the appointment to find out if my fave Tech still works there... Nope. I considered calling back to complain, but there's nothing they can do at this point to retain me as a client, and they've already wasted my time. Don't bother. read more

I still go to Lola Lash Bar. It's alright. It really depends on who does my lashes whether it will turn out the way I wanted. It took me my third time going with a specific person to actually get the look I kept asking for. They didn't do that bad of a job overall though. One time that I went they made the right side a lot thicker than the other side and it just made me angry when I paid so much for it :( I just get a weird "vibe" by the people doing my lashes haha. The receptionist is always delightful. Lola lash bar is decent, I've never gotten my eyelashes done by anyone else though. read more

After a little bit of hesitation reading other reviews I booked an appointment get a set of silk lashes. Leading up to my appointment they send an email confirmation which confirmed the lash technician I would be seeing (Berkley). Upon arrival Berkley was very friendly and offered me a blanket in case I'd be cold. She was great at going through different lash options(length, curl etc). She then gave the option of tap or gel pads. I chose gel pads, size 12 Lashes and c curl and gel pads. She thoroughly cleaned my lashes and began working away l. She was friendly and engaging in conversation. Once she was all done she gave me a mirror to inspect my lashes to make sure I was happy with them. My lashes look fantastic and besides the odd lash that naturally falls out as our regular lashes do they have stayed on great. Very happy with the service quality and durability of the Lashes. I will Definitely be back. read more

I got my eye lashes tinted today and I have to say it will be the last time I go back to this place! I arrived on time for my appointment but they made me fill in another form (although I have been there once before) because I used my cell to book the appointment instead of my home number. Finally finishing the form, the lady doing my lashes complained that " we lost ten minutes" and that the tint would not look as good. She then proceeded to be quite rough with taping the cotton pads on and painting the the tint on my eyes, which caused me to tear up. She then stated that again the tint wouldn't pick up because of my tears! I have never encountered anybody so rude, especially making me feel bad for being 'late' because I had to refill out the form. I will never return because of the terrible service. read more

I just recently had my eyelashes "filled" and as I sat down the eyelash expert was in shock with how little eyelash extensions I had left, I explained to her it had been 3 weeks and I had only had a mini fill 3 weeks prior too. I had booked in for a fill last week and since they only book 45 minutes for a fill ( since everyone is the same and sheds the same amount of eyelashes apparently ) 2 days later I could have easily gone back to get another fill. It's been 6 days and it looks like I hadn't gone at all to get my eyelashes done. Very disappointed with the service and it feels like a waste of money. read more

Lola lash bar is "ok". A full set of lashes are under $100 and they take about 90 minutes to apply. It is clean and the technicians are sweet. I went here 4 times. My biggest issue is that some of the lashes were always put on in haphazard directions and would poke me in the eyeball and cause watering all day until I just ripped it out. When I took good care of them they would be about 40% full by the time I went for a fill at the 2.5 week mark. It looks pretty funny when you have some REALLY long eyelashes and then the regular puny ones. I didn't notice my lashes were any thinner or sparser once I went lash free but this probably depends on how long you have them on for. read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible! I am a lash tech and every new client that comes to me who previously had a set or fill done by Lola Lash Bar ended up getting their set removed by me and a new set applied. Every time I see work from Lola: too much glue, no isolation, volume fans are NOT fanned and are clumped, extensions are all stuck together and complaints of itching/pulling. All of these reasons caused lash damage to these clients who didn't know. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH!! It's very sad that women are paying money here and getting mediocore work. All they care about is money and their time slots is not enough to produce quality work. read more

First off I need to say that the only reason I'm even giving this place 1 star is because it's pretty cute inside & there's no option for 0 stars. I came here to get a lash fill as my normal lady at the usual place I go was busy. I have been going to this other lady for years and she does an AMAZING job but because I needed a fill so bad I decided to give lola lash bar a try. Let me tell you this was a HUGE mistake! First off the lash fill was expected to take 1 hour however, the lady who did my fill (Corrine) rushed through it and it took maybe 30 minutes. My eyelashes didn't look very full but I thought this may just be how they normally do them at lola lash bar. The next day I combed through my lashes to find them all pulling out with my REAL eyelashes attached I was horrified, this has never happened to me! After wearing this mess of lash extensions for only a week I decided to go get my normal lady to fix them as I could no longer stand it. She was actually mortified at what an awful job that lola lash bar had done and suggested that the lady who did my lashes needs to retake the course. Apparently she had glued my lashes together in clumps and it was extremely hard for my normal lash lady to fix. After 2 hours of hard work from my normal lash lady and double what I regularly pay, my lashes are finally back to normal and I will NEVER return to this place or let anyone I know visit lola lash bar. I get my lashes done at the Mckenzie location and i've never had a problem until yesterday - i went with a new girl as my previous lash tech had left and she was super RUDE & had an awful attitude. she was annoyed that I didn't know my "size" of lashes - SORRY but i don't keep that info in the back of my brain - maybe you guys should start keeping that info on file for your customers; my previous lash girl never asked me anything of the sort. She proceeded to "clean" my lashes and my eyes became very wet, i asked her what she was doing as my previous lash girl had never done this before and she replied "um cleaning your lashes...we all do this" i told her that no, i have never had my eyes dripping with water before a fill and she said "um yes you have, you probably just dont remember" she was painfully rude that i almost felt like ripping the tape off under my eyes and leaving. During the fill i felt my lashes being pinched and was uncomfortable, she was rushed and I am sorry but when you are leaning over someone's face all day please pop a mint in from time to time or chew a piece of gum, her breathe was awful. My lashes looked pretty much the exact same as when I first came in to get them filled, actually worse. they are hard at the lash line and she missed putting lashes on the corner of my left eye so that's fantastic! & when I was leaving she told me "just so you know for next time - this is your size of lash" sorry but there will be no next time as this was the biggest waste of money and time - I will NEVER return to this location or any other Lola or refer friends for that matter after that experience. I am comfortable with silence during the fill as well or talking; but the fact that this girl had ZERO customer service skills was pretty sad.. read more

I had a full set of Silk eyelash extensions applied along with tinting. My total cost with tip was 188$ cos you also have to pay for the gel pads under your eyes! the application was great, and when finished they looked fantastic - however... they fell off very quickly, it has been 10 days and they do not look good at all, mostly missing. I do not use any oil products, I do not use mascara, I do not touch them other than to brush them and I do not sleep face down. Everyday more and more fall off and I just don't think they do a good enough job for them to stay on and a fill at 65$ every 10 days (or really I should have had done at a week) is ridiculous. I am booked into somewhere else on the recommendation of a make up artist who was shocked at how badly mine had lasted when she had had hers for 4 weeks and they still looked amazing and she wears eye make up - I wear nothing! She was also shocked by how expensive they were at Lola and numerous people have said they had heard bad things about them - I went there thinking they would be one of the best and I am very disappointed - enough to write a review and warn others (which I never ever do). read more
