Caedin is super friendly and professional, and I love that you can book online. That being said, I haven't had a set of extensions in a long time so I chose somewhere new to go and I am a little disappointed... Only a week after getting my lashes done, I had to get them removed. My eyelids were so irritated and I was constantly rubbing them after getting them installed. Caedin suggested an antihistamine, but that didn't seem to work for me. My lash line was swollen and red and since I was rubbing them so much, the lashes were falling out like crazy. They also seemed to be glued together, so I'm not sure if that contributed to it. When I got them removed (elsewhere, as I was out of town) the lady mentioned that they were too close to my skin and that's why it was so irritating. read more

Got an appointment quite quickly. Nicole was doing my lashes, I used a groupon and I'm really quite regretting it now. It was my first time getting extensions, which I told her. There was not really any consult, she showed me 2 kinds of lashes, guess they were the longest she had, only really asked me if I wanted C or J curl and if I wanted a cat eye look or lashes all around. I guess I shouldn't have trusted her to know what she was doing, as she's the "professional". She could have told me that if they're too long my lashes might now be able to handle their weight. Guess I was supposed to figure that out on my own. She was talking like she knew her stuff and explained, that the lashes go on one by one, each lash getting its own extension. She even explained to me -while she was doing my lashes- that if you put more than one on a lash they can get damaged or if you glue 1 extension on more than one natural lash. My eye lashes looked quite awful. Nicole said they'd "relax" in a few days, I took her word for it. When my friends commented on how my lashes looked really weird... I told them it's no big deal, they'll relax in the next few days. It was my first time, I didn't know better... The eye lashes on the left eye were pointing to the left. The right side looked good. Then my lashes started falling over and pulling like crazy, just 1 week after I got these done. I followed all instruction, made sure to use their brush and never rubbed my eyes, no matter how much it bugged me. Then some fell out... And I saw that instead of one by one, some extensions had as many as 5 of my natural lashes mixed in the glue. I freaked out a little. I called and spoke to Caedin, who made me feel like crap, telling me that the photo they took looked fine, basically saying this issue is my fault and implied that it's my fault and "why would I have waited this long to call"... Umm, probably because I was told that I needed to give them a few days to relax? Then she told me that my lashes were "falling over" because my natural lashes weren't long enough for the length. Well of course. Again, I had to figure that out on my own? Why wasn't I advised of this? I had faith that they'd figure themselves out like Nicole said. Instead I got lashes that were intermingled and looked like they were trying to braid themselves. When I told Caedin that my lashes had multiple natural lashes to one extension she told me that I needed to come in to get them taken off. But she needed to charge me $30 -to remove Nicole's botched job... When I contested she sighed and went on how she had to stay longer to accommodate me for the same day, made me feel even more like an inconvenience. Guess it's too much to ask for a business to fix their mistakes? I was so uncomfortable with this situation and with going back to this place, that I cancelled a few hours ahead of the appointment and went to see someone else to remove the synthetic extensions... I had originally paid for mink. That's another reason to complain but given all of the above, this was the least of my problems. Perhaps knowing that it was my first time she figured I wouldn't notice that she put the less expensive ones on me. All in all, not a good experience. That'll teach me to not ever again use groupon for this service. Because even though you pay the higher rate for mink, you get synthetic, with crummy service to top. I saw Caedin for my first set of lash extensions ever. I had done my research and had high hopes as she had excellent reviews on various websites. During the application she would clamp down on my lashes which multiple times plucked a few of my natural lashes and hurt quite a bit. Once I got home after and closely inspected, I saw that quite a few of the eyelash extensions were attached to my eyelid which even as a extension newbie I knew that this wasn't okay. Unfortunately this was a little difficult to see at the end of the appointment with the long lashes in the way. I quickly booked an appointment with another lash artist who offered consultations after less than a week of having them as they were heavy and painful. During this consultation with another artist, she mentioned that they were applied too close to the lash line (and some directly on), which was irritating my follicles. She recommended immediate removal, and while I was a little hesitant since I had just paid for these, I had them removed right then and there. Once removed I could inspect my natural lashes closer and saw the irritated, swollen follicles and kinked lashes I was left with. Luckily I had them removed before too much damage was done. I have since found another amazing lash artist who I will be continuing to see. I will never be going back to eye candy and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I later saw that there was a groupon for eye candy which if I had of seen prior to booking my appointment, I would have run far away. read more

Got this basic groupon deal because of the great reviews. WRONG MOVE!! When i woke up from the application, she had to unglue my eyelids because I could not open my left eye. Also, she glued one fake lash to multiple real lashes which I know isn't the case in lola lash bar. Booking was so tough since she wasn't really prioritizing groupon customers. I came to Eye Candy Lash and Beauty Bar for a full volume lash extension set at the end of July. It was my first time trying lash extensions and I was a little nervous and apprehensive, as I was getting them done for a weeks worth of wedding festivities. Caedin was wonderful! She was professional, knowledgable and took the time talking with me before we began, to ensure that I was going to get the look I wanted. My lashes looked incredible! Not only did they look great for the event, they lasted for quite a long time. I followed her suggestions for maintaining my lashes and they looked great for a solid 4 weeks! I visited Eye Candy and Lash Beauty Bar for first time to get my lashes done. The experience was both relaxing and informing. The room was decorated beautifully and was a very relaxing atmosphere. Caedin, the owner and aesthetician, took the time to explain to me how to care for the lashes so that I could get the most out of them, which no other salon I had visited in the past had done. I opted for the silk lashes which lasted for a very long time (longer than any other time before). very pleasant and relaxing experience, but I had all kinds of problems with my eyelash extensions. the ends were popping out as soon as i got home and there were clumps of glue all over the place. Tons of the lashes were glued together, so I had three big clumps of lashes on one eye. Every time i blinked, I could feel them poking my eyelids. They were very, very uncomfortable. I had a groupon for lash extensions and a fill. When I went in to have my full set applied, Caedin took a total of 30 mins start to finish. Initially I was happy as it meant that I didn't spend another hour or so on the table, however when I left I noticed a clump of glue and then I noticed that the lashes were more difficult to brush than other sets I had in the past. I also noted that there were some of my lashes missing extensions altogether. When the lashes started to fall out (as they do), I noticed that what I was losing was not individual lashes but instead large chunks with 3-5 of my own lashes attached! I assume that this was the result of too much glue being used and insufficient drying time. Go figure when it only took 30min to apply! When I returned to Caedin for my scheduled fill - asked to have them removed instead. I had contemplated discussing the abundance of glue and asking for more drying time but I wasn't willing to risk it! When I shared why I wanted them removed, Caedin's reply was that I hadn't left the studio like that and that I must have not allowed them to dry sufficiently. This was the last straw for me since I absolutely baby my lashes - no oil products, wait at least 48hrs before they get remotely wet after application.... although Caedin was willing to remove the lashes, I left very displeased with the whole situation. Take my advise and get your lashes somewhere else! read more

I bought a Groupon and it was a terrible mistake. I believe the reason why they keep having to sell Groupons is because they don't get repeat customers. Initially when I got my extensions I thought they looked really good. They were long and full and thick and seemed okay. After a couple of days I noticed that they were becoming more difficult to 'comb' out and they were starting to turn in different directions and they were starting to irritate my eyes a bit. I went on vacation to Mexico and naturally I expected some of them to fall out. Only a couple of them did. I came home after a week and my eyes were becoming more irritated because they wouldn't lay straight and kept turning in different directions. I noticed that my natural eyelashes were starting to grow out but the extensions weren't falling off like how they should. When I looked closer at the ones that were falling out I noticed that the individual extensions were extremely thick and plastic feeling and multiple of my own natural eyelashes were glued to them with an awful thick glue which is probably why my eyes were so irritated and itchy. I literally resorted to pulling out chunks of eyelashes because they wouldn't fall out naturally so I was left with gaps in my eyelashes. I've had extensions before and this was not the experience I had at all. I can't remember who did mine at Eye Candy but they were put on quickly and cheaply with extremely fake synthetic lashes and terrible glue. They are supposed to glue ONE real eyelash to the extension not multiple. The only reason mine looked so thick was because the extension was so thick and plastic feeling. I should have taken a picture. Anyways, a friend of mine had the same experience 6 months ago (which I was unaware of until I already had my terrible experience) and my sister (again unaware) had a bad experience as well. If you ever hope to have normal looking lashes again I definitely would not recommend this place. Pay the price and go somewhere that knows what they're doing and doesn't use super glue. :S read more

I went here for my first time and the experience was great, she was kind and easy to talk to. The only problem was I had a bunch of problems after they were put on with the ends popping out and my eyes not matching and looking oddly clustered in places. I wanted them full but apparently I didn't have enough lashes to make them any fuller. I got a second opinion at a reputable lash bar and they advised that way too much glue had been used, in fact the most they had ever seen. Had not so much glue been used there could have been much more lashes applied. They advised me to get them taken off (normally a 5 minute process but it took them almost 30 minutes) right away to help avoid as much damage to my natural lash as possible; the heaviness of the glue would break apart my natural lashes. They also didn't look that great even on the second day. She also told me they were mink lashes but the lash bar said that they were pretty sure they were synthetic; if they were mink it was the strangest mink brand that they had ever seen. I have mink pair on now and really notice the difference; they feel amazingly light and natural, nice and long and full, not heavy (mostly from the glue used before). read more
