Great little boutique in Crowfoot. They do offer all your basic beauty needs. From manicures, pedicures, waxing and all that good stuff. Made an appointment to get my eyebrows done. It was quick and fairly painless. Always a bit of pain but it's to be expected. She was professional and fast. They are a bit pricey than your average salon/spa since I did find out what they charge for other services. Good to know. In the front of the boutique they do carry products and some cute Jewlery. I've gone to various Frilly Lilly locations, based on where I live and work. As well, I've gotten back into waxing. So I have been on the hunt to find an adequate waxer as the lady I used to see eons ago isn't in Calgary. I finally found my new waxer. Denise is phenomenal. She was quick, efficient and relatively painless. And cute! LOL. She was nice to talk to ad being doing aesthetic for 10 years. Price is reasonable for what you are having done, there are something I would rather not cheap out on. Great place! Fantastic Mani-Pedi The owner was really very kind, receptionist was super polite and when my GPS couldn't find Frilly, I called them to say I was a bit lost, and I was about 5 min late. This place is wonderful. Pretty and cute. The staff here is also friendly and helpful. I've had a few Brazilians done here and have been very happy. I wouldn't think twice to come here again (as I always do) It's fairly expensive, but good service for what you pay for. I didn't give it five stars because they ask that you take your shoes off at the entrance. Which is a very small corner with just shoes just scattered everywhere. I love Frilly Lilly!! I'm a regular customer across the street at Lola lash and every month I go to them for a lash fill I ALWAYS have to make a point to stop in at Frilly Lilly Crowfoot. There store is super cute and smells like a dream. Every time I go there to get my eyebrows or other waxing it turns out amazing and i'm always a happy customer. All the staff are adorable and really nice! There hard wax is the best! At first I booked with whoever was available when I wanted to go but then ended up having Emily do my wax one day and refused to get it done by any one else! She made it quick, easy and nearly painless. Easy to talk to and very personable. I used to frequent frilly lilly crowfoot often, there was a wonderful girl who did my nails and I was always really happy with the service I recieved. I also had met the franchise owner and she was lovely. A few weeks ago, I had my eyebrows done and the girl did a horrible job. I am really not one to complain ever, but when I got to the car and looked in the mirror and realized how bad they were I did go back inside and ask if she could fix them/even them out. She basically told me she did everything she could and it was my eyebrows fault they looked funny. I couldn't walk around with the way they were so I drove immediately to an aesthetics place in the mall where the girl fixed them perfectly. Ended up being a very expensive and time consuming brow wax. I decided to give it another go and went in last night for a shellac manicure. It was the most painful manicure ever. The girl didnt soak my hands before to soften the skin/cutcile which I have always had done before, then proceeded to reef on my nail beds with the metal scraper and cuticle cutters. It was so sore my nail beds feel bruised this am. The manicure was $60 dollars and didnt even have a massage or anything much more than her applying lotion to my hands after finishing. And it is not like I have challenging nails, the entire appointment was done in less than 40 minutes and it was supposed to be an hour. My cuticles still look awful and one of my nails already peeled off this morning. I have no problem paying $60 for a manicure but I am a big believer in getting what I paid for and I have had much better experiences/results at places where I have paid $25. All in all, I can't say I will be returning to frilly lilly again, which is unfortunate as it is a beautfiul store. read more

I was at the frilly Lilly crowfoot location two weeks ago for a basic pedicure with shellac before I went on holidays. Initially I was quite please with the service, nice location and decor, friendly staff, etc. but I am very disappointed in how my shellac pedicure has held up. I have had shellac pedicures numerous times before and have found my nails look excellent even a month after being painted... this time is not the case... even only a week after my pedicure the Polish began to fade and now is peeling off. Frilly Lilly must not be using top grade shellac because this is simply ridiculous. My cheap nail polish at home lasts longer than this "shellac" pedicure did. Needless to say I will not return. read more

I went to Frilly Lilly's to get all of my wedding day waxing done. Denise did a great job. She is friendly and professional. The venue is Clean, friendly and fair priced for quality of service. Have gone for a couple of eye brow waxes with Tammy, she is awesome! She is lovely to talk to and does a very thorough job cleaning up my brows. The hard wax is amazing on my sensitive skin ... highly recommend that everyone tries it. I also really like the online booking system, it makes booking quick and easy! Plan on booking a mani/pedi here soon ... prices look high but I'm sure it will be worth the price. read more

I went to frilly lilly for a shellac manicure a few weeks ago on a last minute booking. Definite plus is being able to look at available appointments on the website. The boutique is very nice (beautiful jewelry, smells great!) and the receptionist was very polite and friendly. The reason for my lower rating was the actual service (3/5). My manicurist was kind of awkward to make conversation with. Typically I don't like talking much during services, but she kept bringing up her upcoming trip with her boyfriend and I felt I had to continue to ask her questions about it. Additionally, she didn't get the polish close enough to my cuticles, and only 10 days later, I have a very noticeable gap between my polish and cuticles from the growth. It was also pretty pricey compared to other places in Calgary, but the price does reflect the boutique atmosphere. So for me, it was just .. meh. I likely won't spend my money on services there again -- but the jewelry, scarves and lotions might tempt me back. UPDATE: Melissa, the owner of Frilly Lilly Crowfoot, contacted me and offered me a complimentary service if I came back to try a different manicurist. I was very impressed that she took the time to seek me out and find out how she could improve her business and make all of her customers satisfied. Ashley was incredible! She did a great job and took extra time to make sure everything was perfect (to her!) and that I was happy with my manicure. She was very friendly and I enjoyed this service much better than the last. She also gave me info about the loyalty program that reduces the price if you rebook within 21 days. With that in mind, I will likely come back. New rating: 4.5/5 stars. read more

I have been a regular client for waxing with Tammy. I know that she's doing a great job. However, I recently moved to the south and went to the other location located in the far south today. The lady was nice but her waxing job was terrible. I will always come back to this crowfoot location despite the long drive. The waxing is done way better here. I will not use the crowfoot Location. .I had rescheduled an appointment from a Wednesday to the Thursday. When I arrived for the appointment on Thursday they told me it had been cancelled,asked me to wait around for 20 minutes to see if they could "squeeze me in," then after 20 minutes told me they could not accommodate me. They offered me only 2 other possible times to reschedule the appointment, neither which worked for me. When I said I would not plan to come back, there was no offer to get a manager. Managers please empower yor employees to deal with these situations better and perhaps be able to offer compensation to the client as you have lost now at least one potentially new client. read more

I have been to this location a few times, and overall am happy with them. They took over the location from Merle Norman, and I will say that I like Frilly Lilly a lot more. Everything about the store is girly, which I love. It is very clean and they have lots of neat jewellery and scarves in the front. I am usually able to book an appointment one day ahead of when I want to go, which I like, and once I am there I am helped right away. Their prices are reasonable. I go there for waxing, and have always been happy with the results. I have sensitive skin, and the products they use don't seem to irritate me at all. read more

Please read my review down below. This is an update to the owner's response to my experience. I sent him a a pocture of my ruined nails the day of and explained everything and said he will try to so something and never heard back from him. This place is terrrible... Women like this place only because it's pink and cute so just shallow but the services are garbage and the ladies there might as well be from a reality show about incapable poeple. This must have been the worst manicure I've ever received. I will start off by saying that if you go there specifically for a mani-pedi, you should look somewhere else! This place is not a facility for that. It has only 2 nail stations and 2 pedicure stations, none of which have comfortable chairs. I went there with a friend and we got our nails done (regular manicure) at the same time. We stayed there around 1h 30minutes because the girl had no idea how to pain nails, It was unbelievable. They did not remove my our cuticles properly because they didn't know how. They moved incredibly slow, first, trying to buff and file my nails in which case they ruined them and they weren't even and then they honestly took about 10 minutes to put each coat on. They were painting the nails just like a 5yo would paint colouring book (they use very small strokes for each nail...inexplicable as the result was awful). Going back to the facility, I guess I didn't expect them to use only their own brand but they only had about 20 frilly lilly nailpolishes and the variety of colour was disappointing and about 10 shellac and they were all dark. The frilly lillly nail polish is the worst I've seen...they are very think and sticky and almost never dry out. They put a very thik base coat which was super sticky and right away they put 2 coats of the nail polish which was very thick and also super sticky and right away they applied the top coat which once again....was very sticky and thik. Each nail had a very think layer of polish and it looked ridiculous. After that, they put some cuticle oil on top so it can protect from smudging apparently, which did nothing. As soon as that was applied, they used some lotion on my hands and arms without touching the nails of course and told us to go pay. Also, did I mention there is no room for clients to sit and wait for their next appointment? Ya, that doesn't exist...they have only 2 chairs which are always busy and since it was winter, they almost asked everyone to take their shoes off while the staff was wearing their boots. The whole time I thought i was on candid camera. Going back to the nails, they don't offer a nail dryer or anything like that, they just tell you to massage your nails with the cuticle oil until the smudge goes away...it's shocking! So here we are, after 1h30minutes, we are being kicked out pretty much because there was nowhere to sit or to dry our hands and we have to pay and leave but we couldn't even put the buttons on our coats so we won't smudge. We had to go at a coffee shop and stay there for another 1h just to make sure we won't ruin our $115 manicure. By the time we got home, we had like 3 smudges on each nail anyway...and throughout the day we were pretty much handicapped form doing anything with our hands and when we woke up the next day, we look at our nails and almost started crying...they were completely destroyed. Avoid this place like the plague...not worth it and just a horrible and negative experience. It's a huge rip off and the prices are absolutely ridiculous for no reason. I am never ever ever coming back here! read more
