Right when we pulled up we got the best spot. That was a great way to start. We walked around and sqe tons of turtles. It was super cool. The second level has a water play station for kids. Then walking past that there is an interactive area with a big jellyfish tank in the middle. Super cool day. And did i mention it free but donations are accepted and appreciated. Help the turtles yall.

This place is a hidden gem and love what they offer. Will definitely be back and hopefully do a night walk after June sometime. Very kind people working for a good cause!

This place was recommended by our hotel and it was a very worthwhile visit. Donation to enter and we were greeted by enthusiastic volunteers. We learned quite a bit about sea turtles, including the five species found nearby and that local beaches host more sea turtle nests than anywhere in the world. The primary focus is rehabilitation to get the sea turtles back in the ocean. There are staff on hand to do surgery when needed and while it wasn't happening when we were there, you can watch it. We went to a 15-minute talk to learn more; these are scheduled throughout the day. There was a school group of third graders when we were there. On-site cafe and gift shop further support the center. So glad we learned of this place - a great value!

Very cool place with a great mission. We went by for the Turtle Fest 2026. Totally worth the time and highly recommend. This was pic of the street scene of shops and such.

Great little place to learn about marine life. They have a turtle hospital. It is sad to see injured turtles but happy to see them help.

Value: no admission! Excellent educational trip to see the turtles. And very sad to learn about microplastics damage and boat propellers hurting sea life

"Excellent center for learning about loggerhead sea turtles and seeing real rehabilitation work in action. In addition to offering top‑notch education, it operates a full hospital on site, and visitors can view the turtles currently being treated along with other marine life. During my visit they had recently taken in about 25 cold‑stunned turtles from New England, and it was impressive to see how carefully they were being cared for. The staff and volunteers all seemed genuinely happy to be there, which says a lot about how well the place is run. The overall experience felt warmer and more organized than the turtle hospital in Marathon featured in the documentary, from the quality of animal care and the educational programs to the thoughtfully curated gift shop. I is worth the visit! I Highly recommend stopping by and supporting Loggerhead Marinelife Center and its conservation work."

Amazing place to take the kids! Admission is free which I could hardly believe. They do ask for a suggested donation though. Happily! The facility is large and well-shaded, which is important if you visit on a hot and sunny day. There are so many turtles to check out outside, an indoor fish tank, a fun water table activity area and a huge and impressive gift shop. This is a really cute way to spend an hour or so, especially if you are across the street at the beach and need a break from the sun. Will definitely come back if in the area!

I can't believe this was my first time coming here after living here for so long! It's so adorable and such a cool thing we have here. Super educational and great for the fam or taking visitors. Love what they do here.

This is a great place to learn about the marine life in the area. They take care of injured turtles with the hope of releasing them back into the wild. There are activities for all ages. It's a good rainy day activity. They have parking and a cafe with food. There is no entry fee, but they do require a donation. There's also a good gift shop. The people who work there are friendly and helpful.

This is a great place to visit if you are in the area, for kids and adults alike. I visited as a kid many years ago, and was excited to return on my recent trip. When we arrived, there was a large desk inside. There were staff/volunteers there to greet us and tell us about the center. While admission is technically free, I'd recommend being prepared to make a small donation as I got the sense it was expected. We visited on a rainy day, but much of the outside area is covered so the rain was not an issue for us. In the main turtle area, there are signs at every tank with information about the turtles, as well as lots of volunteers available for questions and conversation. We were also there during a fish feeding time which was a cool experience. They even have a nice indoor exhibit with a fun interactive digital fish tank. Overall, this is a fun place to visit to see turtles and other kinds of marine life, and to learn about conservation and rehabilitation.

A truly incredible experience. The staff's dedication, knowledge, and friendliness made our visit truly special. It was amazing to see the care and compassion they show for the turtles, especially witnessing one being brought into the hospital. The work they do is inspiring, and we learned so much about these incredible creatures and their habitat. The artwork throughout the facility is magnificent, adding to the beauty of the experience. We truly appreciate that there's no admission fee, and we encourage everyone to be generous with donations to support their important mission and continue sharing their passion with the public!

Loggerhead Marine life Center (LMC) is a renowned nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation of marine life, particularly sea turtles. Located in Juno Beach, Florida, the center serves as a focal point for research, education, and community involvement centered around the preservation of marine ecosystems. The mission of Loggerhead Marine life Center is to promote the conservation of ocean ecosystems, especially the critically endangered loggerhead sea turtle, through education, research, and rehabilitation. They are all about ensuring the survival of these magnificent creatures for future generations. We visit this center yearly and have always donated to their cause. As sea turtles continue to face numerous threats from habitat loss, and human activity, organizations like LMC are essential in the fight for their survival. When in town, it is worth the visit, and please contribute what you can to their cause.

Ask the Community - Loggerhead Marinelife Center

Are they open if so how much is admission?

Hello! We are open daily 10-5 with free admission! We accept donations at the door or you can make a purchase in our gift store, all purchases directly support our mission!

    Is the center dog friendly?

We only allow service dogs at the Center.

Is it worth visiting on a rainy day? Looks like its outside in the pictures.

I would still pay it a visit. There is a small museum inside, as well as a great gift shop! All of the tanks are outside, but they are also covered with a canopy. I would wear a rain jacket, but I think it would still be worth it.

    Is this open to public?

Yes! We are open to the public daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with no admission fee!

How much time should one allow for a visit?

    1-2 hours is plenty

They don't even attempt to hide it from the customers. In addition to that who ever does the pricing seems to think that they are marketing to Bergdorfs or Neimun Marcus (aka needless mar ups). As a customer who shops there as well as donates regularly, i find it offensive that you think people want to buy used shoes or clothes at prices higher than Marshalls or the like. Dixie, but as I noted none for the Poverello Live Well Center I thought some entry should be made. Located at 220 NE 12th Avenue, the Poverello Live Well Center is a part of the not-for-profit Poverello umbrella, but just as its location is different, so is its charitable focus. Poverello was originally founded in 1988 when large numbers having complications of AIDS were socially shunned, rejected and dying. The original intent was to provide food as a nourishing medicine. The pantry on Dixie continues to provide such for to over 3,000 families a year and the thrift shop also located there continues to take in donations of used articles for resale in order to support Poverello operations. The Poverello Live Well Center on 12th Avenue is somewhat different in that its design is as a support center for persons living with HIV, providing a safe accepting to receive support and health services. It is here that those with HIV can, in their words, "...access our full service gym, chiropractic services, acupuncture or massage free of charge." As such it provides a vital community service. One day, as a volunteer driver/transporter, I had the occasion to visit the Live Well Center. When I stepped in I was given one of the warmest of greetings and though I wasn't supposed to actually be allowed, as not being a member, to tour their facilities I did sneak my way around. (Shhh! Don't tell.) But what I saw was a complete with all the trimmings gym with some people giving workout assistance and help to others, a pool table play area and a most comfortable relaxing lounge. But what is really so very special about the Living Well Center are the super nice people from all sorts of differing backgrounds not only there to improve themselves but working together to improve the lives of others. For what they do and for the free of charge services they provide to some of our most needy, Poverello's Live Well Center gets my 5 Stars.
