LOVISA website showing cross necklace new on for sale $ 11 (eleven dollars) I paid $ 90 no xtra charge for the IRRIGATION !

Getting NEW MANAGEMENT ! I had a very bad experience with their self proclaimed "ONE AND ONLY MANAGER AND THERE ARE NO OTHER MANAGERS ANY DAY OF THE WEEK BUT ME " at the Donald Ross location. Very unprofessional individual. Unreasonable, would not check on who was claiming to be a " MANAGER " on Friday Oct 24 along with the lady at the cash register that called her up AS A MANAGER to help one of your other volunteers to open 2 locked cases at the front end . I made the request to VARIFY that I purchased 2 items on Friday out of 2 of the LICKED CASES . One of which was a $ 90 Silver LOOKING Necklace w/ a Simple Cross. I cleaned the necklace and wore Friday night til late Saturday Oct 25 after my neck became VERY IRRITATED with blisters from it. That had never happened to me in 69 years. I googled the piece and found the makers website and it had the piece New available on their website. I was shocked to find it was Normal Price listed at $ 10.99 on sale for $ 11 . I could not bring it back till Tuesday morning since the shop was closed till then. I can not wear the piece due to the reaction I had and still had till Wednesday. If it did not give me the irritation I would have KEPT IT , even if it was $11 they are a CHARITY & I paid $150 cash for All I bought. It was Perfect , I really liked it and I do not buy or wear any jewelry other than my mother's gold cross chain and I wanted a silver or white gold one for the last 20+ yrs. Back to the Manager on Tuesday, she took the necklace and the 8 pages I had printed up from the " LOVISA " website with Detailed photos of the chain and additional info to her office. Has gone 20 mins ? Came out and said they do not do refunds and that was not their necklace , that is not our plastic bag ( I put it in a plastic bag from home ) This is what our price tags do not look like ( which when purchased the tag was falling off and cashier tossed it and told me to put the necklace in my purse so it would not get misplaced) also went on how high the price of Silver is recently. All I was sad king her to do was check with the 3 woman that worked Friday mid day . I did not expect to get a CASH REFUND but maybe a STORE CREDIT. But she was having none of it , not even VERIFYING MY STORY WITH THOSE WORKERS. I left the necklace at the check out desk and yelled KEEP IT & I am NEVER SHOPPING HERE AGAIN.

We had gone next door to get gelato at Matty's and saw some outside racks that we just couldn't resist checking out. I love browsing in thrift, resale, and antique shops. It's "in my blood" having grown up with family who loved flea markets, yard sales, and stores like this. This store (benefiting hospice) was immaculate. The three connected rooms were packed with furniture, clothing, housewares, art work, lamps, jewelry... you name it. Some items looked almost new. Unlike many junky thrift stores, this store had some very high quality pieces. Especially in their furniture. It's the kind of place where you will see a lot of appealing items. And you won't know where to look first. I watched in fascination as some tony palm beach gals ruffled through the clothes, purses and shoes, looking for designer names. This was a frequent stop for them. We didn't buy anything here -- although I almost got a gift for a friend. They were very helpful unlocking the cases to see a few items close up. Unfortunately, the very well priced silver piece that I had my eye on, had a monogram on it that just wouldn't work. This is the kind of store if you like re-sale shops that you'd want to stop in and check out. Especially if you're in the area -- and next time we are nearby, we certainly will do just that.

Not much that we wanted, but a great place to drop off great items that we no longer need or want.

Prices are way too high for a thrift store. I think they don't get the reason people shop in these stores. It's not new or even Consignment.

They don't even attempt to hide it from the customers. In addition to that who ever does the pricing seems to think that they are marketing to Bergdorfs or Neimun Marcus (aka needless mar ups). As a customer who shops there as well as donates regularly, i find it offensive that you think people want to buy used shoes or clothes at prices higher than Marshalls or the like. After all whether slightly worn or used they still have had someones pissibly nasty ass or feet in them. If affordable enough wirth the buy as all things can be cleaned. Lets not get confused, if i am going to have to clean etc its cheaper and easier to go to any if the stires mentioned above pay less and not have to deal with the absurd rational behind pricing and bitchy attitudes. 1. Dixie, but as I noted none for the Poverello Live Well Center I thought some entry should be made. Located at 220 NE 12th Avenue, the Poverello Live Well Center is a part of the not-for-profit Poverello umbrella, but just as its location is different, so is its charitable focus. Poverello was originally founded in 1988 when large numbers having complications of AIDS were socially shunned, rejected and dying. The original intent was to provide food as a nourishing medicine. The pantry on Dixie continues to provide such for to over 3,000 families a year and the thrift shop also located there continues to take in donations of used articles for resale in order to support Poverello operations. The Poverello Live Well Center on 12th Avenue is somewhat different in that its design is as a support center for persons living with HIV, providing a safe accepting to receive support and health services. It is here that those with HIV can, in their words, "...access our full service gym, chiropractic services, acupuncture or massage free of charge." As such it provides a vital community service. One day, as a volunteer driver/transporter, I had the occasion to visit the Live Well Center. When I stepped in I was given one of the warmest of greetings and though I wasn't supposed to actually be allowed, as not being a member, to tour their facilities I did sneak my way around. (Shhh! Don't tell.) But what I saw was a complete with all the trimmings gym with some people giving workout assistance and help to others, a pool table play area and a most comfortable relaxing lounge. But what is really so very special about the Living Well Center are the super nice people from all sorts of differing backgrounds not only there to improve themselves but working together to improve the lives of others. For what they do and for the free of charge services they provide to some of our most needy, Poverello's Live Well Center gets my 5 Stars.

I called on Friday evening and spoke with Ari who possesses a dynamite personality. In typical A type character, I had several inquiries and he didn't miss a beat nor seem annoyed. Given the level of customer service I received during that brief interaction, I felt confident I'd be happy taking my watches here so I visited the next morning. I recently retired my Apple Watch for an Oura ring (this proved to be a stellar choice but I digress). I had a couple of watches that required new batteries: a Michelle and a Movado. More often than not, I've found it difficult in the past to have a battery replaced in these watches without some extra exorbitant costs or simply folks have been reluctant to perform any work on them. I really appreciated the ability to wait while I had the batteries and some links removed from my watches. There was plenty of beautiful merchandise to look at and Ari is both extremely knowledgeable and pleasant so it wasn't painful to wait. Cindy was also very kind and helpful. She was instrumental in finding the proper fit for my wrist. Additionally, the dial on my Michelle watch needs to be replaced because the M left town from too much wear. Now that I've taken it out of a 6 year plus coma, I should probably replace it. I asked her about the cost and she said she'd call Michelle about the part on Tuesday (today). Follow-up: she called me first thing this morning to report back. I will definitely adopt this dynamite business and team for my future jewelry and watch needs and I recommend you do too. Finally, they offer a punch card for battery replacement so eventually you'll get one on the house. Furthermore, they also offer a 30-day period should I decide I need a link added back or an additional one removed for a more comfortable fit. And I believe (but confirm with them) a 1-year warranty on the batteries.
