It is a charity thrift shop run by volunteers - the best kind! Not sure what this building was beforehand, but it consists of many small rooms, and they are setup with different items and themes. This makes the place fun to explore. There is a men's room, a children's room, a kitchen room, a book and records room, etc. Some notable sections: a Christmas section, a room of mostly crystal (along with a collection of wedding bells that ring), and a religious/(Catholic?) section. Some furniture have labeled drawers where inside are treasures or additional items. I found a few scarves to take home with me. Not sure how comparable the prices are locally, but it seems to be in between the cheap and the upscale.

Went back to pick it up and it was a completely different cabinet and color- something that you would buy at Hobby Lobby. When I spoke to the owner - she was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Said she would order another one- I said at this point I didn't want the cabinet- as I drove 2 hours to pick it up. She said that she was ordering it anyway. I said that I would go to my credit card company to help resolve the issue. She texted and said if I did, I wouldn't get the cabinet or my money- that she had done this before and always won. When I disputed the charge- she lied and told the credit card company that I received the cabinet. I have spent thousands of dollars in her store over the last 5 years and will never shop there again and I tell everyone I know to steer clear. Still fighting the charge and will be going to small claims court.

A lot of the clothing designs feature the Jupiter Lighthouse, sea turtles, boats, surfboards, anchors, and mermaids. Jupiter Vintage sells men's and women's shirts, hats, candles, canvas art, tumblers, towels, bags, sunglasses, bracelets, and Christmas tree ornaments. I love the beachy vibe of the store with it's colorful tropical murals and surfboards. While I shopped I had a nice time chatting with the gentleman who was helping me and who is also a Jersey transplant. I love the designs and ended up purchasing a shirt for a gift. They are definitely not the tacky T shirts you see at the beach souvenir shops. You can tell the quality as soon as you feel the shirt, it is so soft. Short sleeved shirts are around $30. Unfortunately they were sold out of the shirt in my size that I wanted but I am planning on stopping in the next time I'm in town. Both of the women working were so helpful and offered to pick out sweaters for me to try on underneath so that I could really consider the purchase. I ended up taking the jacket in addition to another amazing jacket I found. When I was ready to check out, I asked if I could take $50 off the sticker price (one of the buttons needed to be fixed). The woman immediately said yes. She was so kind. I walked out of there so psyched about my purchases and would definitely recommend this store! If you make it past the cranky owner, and he agrees to take your items, expect an opaque process, no written receipts or copies of your agreement, and radio silence until you proactively reach out. Oh, and have your expectations of any money coming your way very low. You'll get 40% of whatever arbitrary price they put on your items, but of course this assumes they actually sell for the price that split was made. If your items don't sell, make sure to retrieve them prior to the mystery date that only exists on the shop's paperwork, or they'll be donated. All in all a great little store to shop in, but the owner and his approach kind of kill it.

Pennies For Heaven is a thrift store founded in 1971 and operated by the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. The shop is run by friendly volunteers who raise money for the church by selling donated high end clothing and shoes, jewelry, accessories, men's clothing, household items, books, small appliances, golf equipment, books, children's clothing, and toys. The proceeds from all sales directly benefit the Mission and Ministry of Church of the Good Shepherd. They are a not-for-profit, so they do not charge sales tax. Pennies for Heaven is always having a sale. On the day I visited red tags were 50 percent off, red/yellow tags were 50 percent off, and blue tags were $1.00. The store is neatly organized and has interesting items at great prices. They accept donations of gently used items during our regular store hours. Furniture pickup is by appointment only.

Jordan along with Habitat founders Millard and Linda Fuller developed the concept of partnership housing. Those in need of shelter would work side by side with volunteers to build affordable homes at no profit. House payments would be combined with no interest loans provided by supporters which would then be used to build more homes. In 1973, the Fullers took their house building concept to Zaire where they worked for three years. When they returned to the United States they founded Habitat for Humanity International in 1976. President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn became involved and raised awareness. Habitat is now in all 50 states in the U.S. and in more than 70 countries. They have helped 29 million to be able to afford safe shelter. In 1991 Habitat for Humanity launched the concept of the ReStore in Winnipeg, Canada. In 1992 the first Habitat for Humanity restore opened in the U.S. in Austin Texas. The ReStores accept donations from the community and home improvement stores and then resells the items to the public at a discounted price. The profit from the ReStore supports the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate. I discovered this Habitat for Humanity Restore around the corner from where I had lunch. Compared to other restores I have visited, this store was cleaner, neater, and had more items. Several rooms were filled with furniture, clothing, accessories, home goods, decorative items, large and small appliances, toys, lamps, books, baskets, and linens. I was tempted by a $6 instant pot. On the day I visited they were having an additional 20 percent off pink tags. This is a great store to thrift, especially if you are setting up your first home. Shopping and donating to Habitat for Humanity really helps people in need.

You never know what you might find! The owner and her mom greeted us and offered to help us find anything we might be looking for. If you are in the area thrift shopping, stop by here because- why not? you might find a treasure! There is a little kids area at the front, a lot of decor on the walls, some clothing, dishes; I am certain the items change frequently. Some ideas/feedback: I had trouble finding the sizes of the shoes easily (but maybe I misread the size as the price?), and it can be helpful to separate the plus size clothing since there is usually very little of it.
