I called on Friday evening and spoke with Ari who possesses a dynamite personality. In typical A type character, I had several inquiries and he didn't miss a beat nor seem annoyed. Given the level of customer service I received during that brief interaction, I felt confident I'd be happy taking my watches here so I visited the next morning. I recently retired my Apple Watch for an Oura ring (this proved to be a stellar choice but I digress). I had a couple of watches that required new batteries: a Michelle and a Movado. More often than not, I've found it difficult in the past to have a battery replaced in these watches without some extra exorbitant costs or simply folks have been reluctant to perform any work on them. I really appreciated the ability to wait while I had the batteries and some links removed from my watches. There was plenty of beautiful merchandise to look at and Ari is both extremely knowledgeable and pleasant so it wasn't painful to wait. Cindy was also very kind and helpful. She was instrumental in finding the proper fit for my wrist. Additionally, the dial on my Michelle watch needs to be replaced because the M left town from too much wear. Now that I've taken it out of a 6 year plus coma, I should probably replace it. I asked her about the cost and she said she'd call Michelle about the part on Tuesday (today). Follow-up: she called me first thing this morning to report back. I will definitely adopt this dynamite business and team for my future jewelry and watch needs and I recommend you do too. Finally, they offer a punch card for battery replacement so eventually you'll get one on the house. Furthermore, they also offer a 30-day period should I decide I need a link added back or an additional one removed for a more comfortable fit. And I believe (but confirm with them) a 1-year warranty on the batteries.

For special orders, it may take anywhere from two to four weeks depending on what you need done -- take the stone from one ring and add to another, repair parts on a tag heuer automatic watch where they have to order the parts before installing them. But they are always transparent with the time frame and pricing. Most of the time, I need battery replacement for my long list of watches that also includes my wife's. Or if I need a ring re-sized. Battery replacement they normally can do within 10 minutes, and they have a nice comfortable lounge chair to sit while you wait.

That was Hamilton Jewelers, and to my surprise it was a Ms. Cassandra McBride who was their Rolex liaison, located in their main Store in Princeton, New Jersey. I followed up with a phone call to her, at the Princeton NJ location It was a very delightful and informative experience. Ms. McBride reviewed my information and explained to me, all the great details about the watch and it's current market availability but assured that my interest in the watch would be noted and would keep me informed. I told her I frequently visit New Jersey several times a year. On, one trip I went to the store and personally introduced myself to her, had a very nice informative and friendly conversation with her, a very nice customer service experience . I would during the 18 months, text her to reaffirm my interest, and she would always reply quickly , reassuring me, and expressing hope for good news in the future. On December 3,2025, she texted me. And asked if I was still interested in the SS Submariner Date, ironically I was in New Jersey for a social event. I called her back , and reaffirmed my interest, and we laughed that I was in New Jersey. She said she hoped to have good news in the upcoming year. The next day she called and to my surprise said the watch was available. I was ecstatic, we made plans for me to come to their Hamilton Jewelers store in Princeton on the 5th of December. At that time she made me a wonderful presentation of the watch, explaining all the details. It was like Christmas with an old friend. My dealings with Ms. McBride and the Staff at Hamilton Jewelers, was a wonderful experience. The Extraordinary Customer Service, I experienced with Ms. McBride and Hamilton Jewelers, is very rare these days, and I will not forget it.

This was a terrible experience. I found Bennison on Yelp and was recommended due to being close to…read moremy home. Spoke with the matchmaker and stated that I would wind it, but would stop after awhile. I was winding it enough, so thought there might be loose screw or lube issue. He tested my watch on the bench and my watch was keeping acceptable time (+- 4), but they recommended a full overhaul for $700, which is crazy. Its a Selitta movement and only 3 years, so I thought he was trying to gauge me and wasnt addressing the issue. After goung back and forth and not get a good justification for full overhaul, I told him I wanted it back and took it to matchmaker in Gardens Mall. After a brief check the new watchmaker determined that there was a dislodged screw, in fact the entire rotor had moved, see pic. He took a closer look to assure there was no damaged and although there were a few nicks, he determined that the rotor screw became loose, which is rare, but fortunately no detrimental damage to the movement. After a quick fix, reseal and $100 later, the watch was in perfect working condition. I guarantee that the Bennison matchmaker didnt know what he was doing and in fact, his work could have really damaged the movement. Im not one to write a bad review, but this one was warranted! If you bring your timepiece here, proceed with caution, stay informed and bring your wallet.

This is something any competent and honorable technician should have caught before handing it back to a customer. When I returned to the store a couple of days later to explain the issue and return the battery, the person I dealt with was dismissive, unhelpful, and arrogant. He claimed they set the time when they replaced the battery, but that's impossible to do, especially without noticing there's a mechanical issue. He refused to issue a refund for the battery, even though the battery is brand new in perfect condition and could easily be used for another customer. To make matters worse, the owner has completely ignored my follow-up correspondence. For a store that overcharges for something as basic as a battery swap (they charged $25!!), I expected far better service and accountability. Bottom line: the customer service is awful, the pricing is way overpriced, and the management clearly doesn't care. I will never go back there again. Avoid this place at all costs.

But upon inspection, the battery that was running in the watch had popped out of place. At first glance, it appeared that the battery would not stay in place. After a few minutes of fiddling with it, the very capable jeweler was able to seat the battery and get my watch running again. Now, time is l money and I wanted to pay for the fix of my watch.
